*The information herein is factual, and from being on location to experience said matters first hand. **Please note that all images have been censored for safety purposes, and this review is to be taken with the upmost-seriousness.For nearly a half month now I’ve traveled within the vicinity of the Triangle Math and Science Academy located at 312 Gregson Dr. Cary, NC 27511. However, during a normal diving route, which passes this institution-things took an absolute alternate sharp turn into “traffic-chaos.”My understanding is that Triangle Math and Science Academy relaunched it’s post C-19 open, and the amounts of traffic was absolutely unbelievable. Caught in an iron (vehicles) whirlwind crossfire of said turmoil was one’s self, with an endeavor to simply reach my destination, adjacent to the schools location in the area. What’s so shocking is that I witnessed no law enforcement or security personnel on location. No faculty serving as crosswalk guards or safety supervisors, and absolutely no order to the repetitive bombardment of traffic in all directions. If school staff were on location, which I’m sure they were; the appropriate numbers needed are not sufficient-nor are staff trained to handle this magnitude of heavy activity/traffic.The situation worsened, as road-raging individuals broke every traffic law written an invented a couple of new ones-for that matter. One older male subject passed nine (9) cars, then swiftly turned into the left fender of my SUV to avoid being hit himself. One word… Hazardous.I go on to say… Please look at the attached photographs. I would be absolutely in distress if I knew my children were being dismissed into said conditions. Seriously everyone… This is entirely unacceptable. While I understand Triangle Math and Science Academy is a prestigious, and well respected institution… These conditions herein require immediate attention, and rectification swiftly. These present conditions pose serious safety issues to the students; parents, pedestrians, and motorists working in the local area. Many individuals are simply driving through to reach other businesses, and locations. As proof, anyone can view this massive traffic congestion without even venturing to the school’s location, as highway 64 is like that of a blockade, and forcing unprecedented holdups of normal traffic flow.In conclusion, it’s my intention that this review be taken with paramount concerns, and that someone with authority via the school board administration, law enforcement or government official(s) will come forward-an recognize-this is a problem. I might add… Appropriate transportation should definitely be offered to any parent(s) compensating said school with tuition fees. I speak truthfully, and honestly in saying-I wouldn’t dare-send my offspring-into the chaos-that I experienced, and my heart goes out to every parent and commuting motorists-that has to endure said conditions weekly. I have been in TMSA for 6 years so far and I am currently starting 5th grade. I am very, very lucky in getting in this school in the first place. During Covid, it is difficult to really get the schedule but depending on which teacher, I think my current teachers (not named) are really helpful and sometimes we read books and in the afternoon on some days we get to do some projects. The staff and teachers are really nice and very friendly. They also have a thing called Specials where it is something outside of the usual class where we do things like PE, art, music, technology, and STEM. (Note that Specials are only for Elementary and I dont really understand the Middle School or High School things) I would also like to mention that this school has Kindergarten and has Elementary, Middle School, and High school all together! They also have something called MAP tests we do during Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. There is also a thing I would mention is that when you go to 4th/5th grade is that you get to pick something called Tiger Tails. (More information is possibly on their website) The only thing I can really criticize about is the carpool management but I know it isnt easy for staffs and teachers to organize it. It is something new for everyone but other than that, it is a very good school. I would personally, as a student, recommend this school and Im not trying to sugar coat anything. Its a very good school and if you are finding a school for your child, please consider this school. Very happy with our experience at the school. My child started during the pandemic. Communication and remote learning have been very good. Staff is top notch and academics very good. Appreciate activities the school has hosted, such as a winter drive-thru party, which helped students feel connected despite the pandemic. Very organized services and programs for struggling students, or kiddos with extra academic needs. Also very impressed with the speech services my student receives.

TMSA is a great school, teachers work hard with kids even after school hours to haven kids get better grades. My experience has been one of the best.

Good place to have your kids in for school. Four stars because the school administration needs some work. Which is normal due to being a small and relatively new school. I hope they will do better and continue benefiting our community. Thank you

It’s an amazing experience being a part of this lovely family! Yes, All the teachers , the deans , the staff members and the Principal are very supportive.In this pandemic, they have worked really hard with kids to provide materials and guidance! The drive through activities like the reading parade and the winter parade are the biggest encouragement for kids during this stay at home situation.TMSA is the best environment for kids to grow.

My child has attended Triangle Math and Science Academy in Cary, since Kindergarten and honestly my family and I could not have been more pleased in the level of academic excellence the teachers foster in the students. In addition, They truly do nurture their personal growth.

Great school!!! The teachers are amazing even with COVID and virtual learning my kids didnt feel any difference. Teachers were all the way with them to support.

We love Triangle Math and Science Academy! The adminstration, teachers and staff are very dedicated to their students. They care about student success and I just love how they know all the students names. Teachers are awesome! I love seeing my kids thrive and being appreciated for who they are at TMSA. I also like the diversity of the student population and the school curriculum. TMSA is constantly looking for ways to improve the school because like many other schools there are room for improvement; and I can appreciate that. As a mom, I feel good that my kids are in a loving and supportive learning environment.

I like this school. Even during covid times the school maintained its schedule and the students spirit was kept up. My kids are happy going here. Both my kids go here.

Our kids are in first and 6th grade at TMSA. I have seen significant improvement in their growth in education. This is a fantastic educational institution.

The school is great but during COVID the online school isn’t the best. Because the kids grade level went down. Most of the schools have already opened but TMSA or the board still refuse to open the school.

This school is okay, they arent the best with communication. Teacher wise though, they are decent. The work for most teachers is just giving out a packet and they say do this and will ask if you have any questions. It is mediocre.

I love Tmsa. During the pandemic the teachers are very attentive to all the students. I received the notifications fr the school messenger daily to inform me about my Kid school work , home work , his grades etc etc. we love Tmsa 🥰🥰🥰

This school is pretty good. I do not care if the facility is kind of bad compared to what people are used to because school is for education not for a nice facility. I only rated it 4 stars because i do think the facilty could be little better but the facility does not matter that much at all . The teachers are pretty nice and helpful over there. Another reason is because the high school there is not that good which is what i have heard but it is really good for other grades

As a student at Triangle Math and Science Academy, I can tell you that the reviews for this school are very mixed. Some love the school, some strongly dislike it. Demographically, the school is about 70% Asian, with 60% of that being Indian. The students are very competitive in their extracurricular programs, but the core teachers are very inexperienced. I would recommend this school to students who are interested in AP courses and Olympiad teams, but not for students who want to focus on core courses.

This place really needs help with its own sanitation. When I walk into the bathrooms in see nasty things all over the floor. And then in the lunch rooms, we have to clean up other peoples mess just because they cant even afford to get more than 1 janitor. Also the education needs help.Most of the time in class we just get handed practice worksheets and dont learn anything and then do bad on tests and quizs. Also some of the students need a whole lot of discipline because they do all sorts of crazy stuff around the school. Also they keep K-11 kept on one small building that should only fit MIDDLE SCHOOL.And then they have all of these sport teams that dont have have the necessary requirements for them. They dont even have a soccer field or a track. And then the basketball courts ceiling is so low. I hear students always saying that they lost their games because they kept on hitting the ceiling when they shoot. Also, the teachers need to be a little bit nicer. Last but not least, the uniform and shoe policies are just killing me . Us as students should be able to handle the responsibility of handling our own clothes instead of spending like 40 dollars on just one shirt.

I have been at TMSA since first grade and just like all schools TMSA has good things and bad things about it. As I have been reading some of the reviews I thought they were highly exaggerated or had false facts, only some of them had real information about the school itslef and its students. Yes the school at one point had only one janitor, but just because we have a janitor it doesnt mean that the students dont have to clean up after themselves. The students should at least have the decency to clean up after themselves and if some people dont clean up after themselves its our responsibility as the people that have to eat in there to man up not whine about it and clean it up. Also yes the ceiling in the gym is low but if you are truly a good shooter you wont hit the ceiling and it also gives us and advantage over the teams we play against because they may not be used to a low ceiling. In some reviews it talks about how the bathroom is disgusting, the bathrooms arent half as bad as their described. In other reviews Ive seen things like theres a big bullying problem or the C class is always getting made fun of the bullying at TMSA isnt as bad as other schools, most of the bullying is just friends picking on each other in a friendly way and then not being able to handle it and then joking around saying they are getting bullied. There are many more things I could have written about in this review that I saw that other people wrote false claims about, but Im just going to leave it at this TMSA is not necessarily a bad school but it could have some changes made to it.

We just started attending in Sep. I have two kids here and while it is very challenging - our kids love it. Lots of attention and great atmosphere.

This school is preety good for EDUCATION. But for other stuff, its a whole another story. So for buses, Its $750, and Im like waaaaaaat. My parents are busy, so they have to pay for it. The sanitation is preety bad, it has its own odor. Also for the cafeteria, the students have to clean up, sweep and Clorox, because they only have ONE janitor (they should hire more). Thats pretty much it, nothing else.

We love TMSA. My son is now in 10th grade and he started in 6th at TMSA. My daughter is in 7th grade at TMSA. Although my kids went to an excellent Elementary School AB Combs, they still seemed behind when getting to TMSA. I highly recommend TMSA and think that you should get your kids in there as soon as possible if you are looking at Charter and Magnet Schools.

READ THE BOTTOM!!!! i love this school so much its so amazing. the buses are such a reasonable price! only $700 per child! we have to clean the cafeteria which teaches us discipline! like not allowing us to go to the bathroom or drink water makes us really appreciate the oldern days when they had no water or bathroom !the bathrooms are smelly which makes us appreciate what we have! Stanford jokes are so funny it makes us laugh so hard. the teachers are so nice they care about you and not just keeping their own job!ok this is ugly byeActually this school is ugly i was just kidding. Ive been at Tmsa for 5 years now, Ive seen many good teachers go and many bad teachers come in. The worst thing about this school is the way they separate that kids in Class ranking from A B and C with A being the Smarter Class and C being the Dumber Class. This causes some students to be bullied or feel dumb because of this. Another terribly thing about this school is the sanitation. The school has its own odor when you walk in. The bathrooms are a whole other story, Personal I wait until i get home to use the bathroom because its so gross. The Cafeteria isnt kept that clean either. The school is K-10 which causes the hallways to be crammed and you cant get to your class. Tmsa has 2 languages Spanish and Turkish but, Majority of the school wanted Chinese. English is not some of the teachers first language which causes some confusion when they speak. If you here for the academics this school is perfect for you but if your seeking a normal school I would not recommend here.

I currently go to TMSA,and academically this school is pretty good but I think there are some things that need to change. First of all I think they should add a second floor or buy a new building. I am a middle school student at TMSA and when I am transitioning between classes the hallways are so packed that its hard to move.The school is so small that some teachers are either forced to share rooms or just go to rooms that are empty!Another thing that I think needs to change are some of the teachers. A bunch of the teachers arent born in America and its kind of hard to understand them,i am not trying to be racist its just a fact. Also there is little to no diversity at TMSA. Almost all the kids here are Asian and I think they should add more diversity to this school. All in all I dont think you should send your kids to TMSA,and make them suffer.

Okay sol i have been going to TMSA for 4 years now and overall its okay the sanitation is horrible, some of the teachers are okay i think the enviorment is okay i suggest you only send your kids till 5 th grade because 6 th grade only has turkish. so for elementary school its pretty good

AS a student at tmsa i say that its basically cramming a bunch of grades in one tiny school. and the parking and waiting just to get your child. Its good academically but smells lik sweat and wont stop pilling up grades to crush the little kids and in between class you can get piled up and hurt from the crowded hallways and late for your classes.

We joined our child in the kindergarten class at TMSA, with our child barely knowing ABCs and 1,2,3s. Within 6 months, our son is now reading books and writing and doing math wonderfully. His academic progress is amazing! I am very impressed with the standard of teaching at TMSA and feel my child is lucky to have been selected in the TMSA lottery for admission. In addition, the school hosts wonderful Math & Science clubs and the school chess club is a winner. I also had the opportunity to judge in the school science fair and I must admit the quality of science presentations by middle school students was extraordinary. I highly recommend schooling at TMSA.
