Such a great school and all the teachers are kind. The teachers make it so we have no homework cause if it gets in the way of fun things like family or sports and friends why have it. Start time is 9 and ends at 4:25 so plenty of time to learn and in the morning I have plenty of time to get ready and we come in and have a class called advisory which we can talk about feelings and people will understand. This is a great school and more kids should come and see what I see.😁

If I could give a lower rating I would. Ive been through numerous schools that ended badly, but this school is by far the worst. School has now been in session for around five months and there is still no plan as to how they will grade assignments. I honestly believe these people have no plan as to what they should do, and I dont believe they are capable of making any plan to educate their students. The classes have not been beneficial academically whatsoever. While the teachers will teach they are not teaching anything useful. I am currently a sophomore in high school and our big project for english this quarter is writing and illustrating a literal childrens book. The staff is rude and irresponsible. A common theme during any pointless speech the staff makes is to blame this schools utter failure on the students- and unfortunately they believe it. The hilarious idiocy of these people and their destroying these students academic careers is being put on the students themselves. The staff is completely incapable, and they have made the students their scapegoat for their failure. The culture this school possesses is nothing short of a cult. This school is absolute insanity. The parents are also being lied to. Students either inform their parents of what is truly happening, or parents read a newsletter that is nothing more than a poorly fabricated web of lies. I have never been more afraid for my academic career than I am now. I am sure that I will be forced to retake sophomore thanks to these people. Do not bring your children here. It will be nothing less than a pure living hell.

This is school is unprofessional and inexperienced all around. I was a student here in eighth grade for the first half of the school year. The academics are put together last minute, and the math is a pile of random worksheets that dont follow a pattern. I was learning course 2 math basics, randomly given in worksheets and pre-tests here and there, even though I was ready for at least algebra. We spend an hour going through the warm up problem and making sure each individual understood it one hundred percent, leaving advanced students bored and feeling treated like little kids. This is from the honesty of a student who has been at this school and has needed to be pulled out due to the inexperience of the school. They refuse to even suspend kids who participated in a fist fight and will not have any consequences for inappropriate behavior. Certain beliefs are promoted by teachers and inappropriate language is frequently used by them as well. This school has inexperience all around. I would not send any kids here and would not recommend it to anyone. Some parents, teachers, and students still have hope that they can pull it together. But I wont be waiting around for them to figure it out and then get in to college and realize that I dont have the education I need.

I used to go to a traditional school, and now I’m a freshman here. I absolutely LOVE it! I no longer feel like grades express my entire life, and I feel like I’m actually learning for ME. Not just memorizing facts, but actually getting outside and interacting with real people. I feel bad for people for don’t get to go here.

After reading all the good reviews that the students where told to write i picked up that people think that this school is accepting and understanding to all student no matter who you are I disagree. Me and many other students I know of have been outed and targeted by the staff of this school. Staff will judge you no matter who you are and if they dont like you then they will be sure to out you. Staff of this school including teachers and supervisors will give dirty looks and an audible ugh when they see or pass by you. Outed students are counted absent for going to the bathroom or leaving class for less than 2 min and the teachers will make sure you fail by giving essay after essay with short due dates. most likely your children would be better off in a traditional school.

My son is finishing 7th grade at this remarkable school. The school puts a childs emotional well being ahead of everything else, which is so important during a difficult developmental time. He loves going to school. Hes made wonderful friends and has been challenged academically. I cant wait to see how hell grow in 8th grade.

I enjoy this school and have had a great learning experience. It is true that this school is new and has a weird philosophy. Its based off the idea that students need to take charge of there own leading and while this does not work for a number of students I think that they are just not used to having to work for something and not just take notes. Ill admit that the first semester of the school was a little choppy, but if you joined the school not expecting a project that you would have to work on, then that problem is with you. The school is constantly improving and I dont believe that any school within a reasonable distance has what Renaissance Secondary offers. I dont believe that the culture hear is as another reviewer put it culty. While I personally have never been in a cult, I feel as if were not doing anything illegal or morally inconsistent or wrong. If you are looking for something different where you wont fall asleep in class, this school is the school for you.

I really love this school, I would never go to any other school and I have learned so much from just this year being at this school. We don’t have bully problems here and that is a big thing to me because at my last school I was bullied and it effected my self atseem a lot. But i came to this school and my confidence was boosted so much and I have so many great friends here I love this school and I will never go to any other school

This school means so much to me, they accepted me when no one else would, I feel like my crew (crewy) is amazing we call our amazing family group (crew) crewy because we love to be silly with each other. I love this school because the teachers treat me so nicely like we’re family and I respect everyone who respects me!

This school is completely horrible. They don’t teach the students, they don’t get graded, the staff is very rude, and they make you feel unwanted and uncomfortable. The price for this school is not worth it, do not recommend.

Been a student here for the first opening year. Not a great experience, teachers leave all the time the vice principal was a child predator. The schedule is always being changed and teachers will just dip during class. Half the high schoolers are druggys and are just high as heaven. People here are just really mean. Don’t recommend this.

To start the school is terrible. The school is setup like they have no idea what to do or how to run a school. I am in 8th grade so far this year in math we have learned pretty much nothing. If we are not in our assigned seat the teacher will mark us as absent. We have cameras checking who goes in and out of the bathroom. Some of the X-Blocks are fun some teachers are cool and nice like Kim and Melissa the rest either I dont know or I do not like. And the sixth graders are very annoying their is a reason why they should be in a elementary school not a middle high school.

My 7th grader went here for one semester. It’s was a disaster and we are so glad she went to a traditional school with academic and personal standards. Lots of bullying and the language and behavior of the students was inappropriate for a place of so called learning. This what happens when there is no disciple, accountability and academic challenges for the students. One math teacher told me he didn’t teach in a traditional manner in front of the students, but instead the students were given a math workbook and told to try to figure things among themselves on their own and only when they couldn’t figure something out to approach him. I don’t recommend this school. Have your child go to a school where he/she can be challenged and get a solid education.

School has a great community and the teachers actully care unlike other schools. If your child needs a diffrent approach to learning this is the school. They are always trying to fix their problems. You can tell a diffrence in the learning from the first semesters. This school is really a good experience.

This place was the worst school you could ever send your kid to. I feel terrible for the kids who are still there learning addition in 6th grade. I was a 6th grade student myself and my teacher Ms. Keena was disrespectful, unorganized, rude, And so so unprofessional. The staff here are all so unorganized. I asked Ms.Keena if i could learn something different because i learned the stuff that we were doing in preschool and she said TO BAD Why would you say that to a student who actually wants to learn. The people in high school i can only imagine. I saw on a high schoolers Instagram story that a kid set up a Wii in his locker and they were playing Mario cart all day. They are never in a classroom learning. The principle is a nightmare she hires anyone who is willing to work there such as Steve Jenkins. I remember him. I was in yoga and the main teacher of yoga was gone so Steve subbed in and he was yelling at students cursing. My friend and I felt so uncomfortable that we ran into the bathroom and stayed there. And guess what Steve in a nasty person in this world who went to court. I am so glad that i left this terrible school and if I could give it a lower rating I would. Never send your kids there and for the kids that are there pucker up you are going to not learn and do bad on your SAT ACTs then you will go to a bad college and ruin your who life. Get out of that school but you will have a lot of catching up to do. And your not gonna fail because of you, you are gonna fail because you arent learning.

Rennasiance primary was a disaster and didnt teach content. This is meant to be the same. They have an 8th grade teacher who is deaf and their cell phone policy hasnt been figured out 2 weeks before they start school.Edit from towards the end of the school year: I do not go there, but I can tell nobody has been taught a lesson in the Bill of Rights because I have received over 30 text messages from different people threatening and harrassing me. People have stolen my friends’ phones just to send these messages. My phone number has been *illegally* handed out to people throughout the school, some of which have the grammar skills which appear to be that of a teacher. Do we need a change in our education? Yes. But from the reviews I have seen, this is the wrong kind of change. This school appears to be a communist country, not a safe place to learn.
