We absolutely love Z-Ultimate at Castle Rock! The instructors are top notch, and the confidence and skill they have instilled in our son has been such a blessing and a wonderful journey. Highly recommend!!

From day one, my eight year old daughter has been thrilled to come back to the dojo again & again! She loves Sensei Kristen & the others and always looks forward to her lessons. We came here after some bullying issues at school, and her confidence has soared since starting here. I have also seen some changes for the better in her temper at home, and I truly believe that she is taking the respect and self discipline aspects of the studio to heart! She has big goals going forward here, and I am so proud of her. She just earned her yellow belt over the weekend, and when the sensei asked what she had learned about herself during the test, she replied “that I am more capable and strong than I thought”. Indeed you are, my dear.

My 5 year old son expressed interest in karate/martial arts but most places we found wouldnt adapt for a child who uses a wheelchair. We stumbled across this dojo advertising at an Easter egg hunt and they took my son and nephews in with open arms despite their special needs/differences. Everything has been seamlessly adapted and my son loves every second of it! Weve only been going for a short time, but my son is learning that its ok to speak up and defend himself if needed and also learning about respect, working hard, and goal-setting.

My son Eric has autism. He has always wanted to try Martial Arts. He LOVES everyone he has trained with at Z-Ultimate Self Defense Studios, even group classes are amazing. This is a very special group of people that have entered our lives. The most important factor was being able to have one on one lessons for Eric and still be very affordable. The day we stopped at the studio and asked about private lessons was a day Eric will never forget. Thank you, Sensei Kristen, for all you do and your positive impact on Erics life!

I cannot say enough great things about this dojo. Sensei Megan and Sensei Kristen are so amazing with my daughter. They push her to be a kind person and strong. Never would I have thought she would be a purple belt by age 6! That was the main goal but now she wants to do more and set her goals higher. What she is learning here at a young age is nothing but greatness!!

The Z-Ultimate self defense team is amazing!! They create a calm, fun atmosphere for the kids. My son loves coming in for karate and is always learning something new. We are very lucky to be apart of the Z-ultimate family!

Karate is fun because I get to learn how to defend myself.I have been doing karate for three years and I am almost a green belt!I am nine years old. Karate is the best!!

Z ultimate has been such a great experience for my 3.5 year old. Kristin and Megan are great with him and help him with discipline outside of karate. They are flexible and always willing to work with you!

Z-Ultimate in Castle Rock is a top notch venue for kids of all ages to learn martial arts. My seven year old son loves the private lessons and group classes and I cant help but take note of his increased self-confidence. In addition to the core physical aspects of their craft, Kristen and the other sensei focus on discipline, respect and humility, ensuring that students also learn and appreciate the core values of martial arts.

I have been training at Z-Ultimate Castle Rock for almost 10 years. The quality of the instruction is superior. My training keeps me in shape and it provides me the skills and confidence to be able to defend myself. I have made great friends and I have reached a lot of personal bests. This martial arts training is worth the time and the investment.

My 4yo started lessons here about a month ago and he LOVES it! Kristin is so good with him and he’s learning so quickly. She focuses a lot on his behavior outside of the studio as well which has been amazing. Highly recommend.

I have been doing Z-Ultimate Self Defense for a year now and love it. Z-Ultimate Karate is unique and challenges all ages, teaching discipline and control. It has helped me not only to strengthen my memory and loose weight but also with my confidence. It is extremely empowering and freeing to know you can defend yourself in any negative situation that may come, especially as a woman. I can not speak more highly of Sensei Kristen. She is such a fun teacher and can cater to many different learning forms. Group classes are the best and I love the mutual respect everyone has for each other no matter their belt rank. I first tried one of Kristen’s women’s self defense classes and I have continued ever since. I highly recommend Z-Ultimate for any age, especially children.

Our daughter looks forward to her private lesson with the amazing Kristen (head instructor) every Friday after school, followed by the group class! The emphasis on respect for country and family throughout the lessons is an added bonus! Love this place!!!

Z-Ultimate Castle Rock has been amazing for our family. We have 2 boys who have been training at the Castle Rock dojo for almost 5 years. Group classes, private lessons, testing, tournaments, and seminars all provide different and valuable learning experiences. The flexibility to train at any of the Z-Ultimate dojos has been an added bonus! The boys have worked with the Z-Ultimate community from all over Colorado and many of the instructors and other students have become like family to us all. I highly recommend them!

My 4 yearold daughter Maycee has been attending Z Ultimate since this past august and she loves it! I have seen such a difference in her behavior and attitude. Z Ultimate has given my granddaughter the confidence she needs for every day challenges. Prior to karate, she would cry just walking into a room with strange faces, now she can walk in with a smile, confident in who she is. Z-Ultimate is not just about teaching self-defense, they address core values and get to know every student on a personal level.

I joined to support my son, but stayed (4+ years now) for so many reasons: a break from the family and responsibility, great exercise, interesting and surprisingly fun, and (as a bonus) now I feel confident that I could defend myself and my kids (and my husband :) ) if ever needed. As a mother never remotely interested in martial arts, I continue to be surprised at how much I enjoy Kenpo Karate. Sensei Kristin is extremely competent in her martial arts and is an excellent instructor. The community at the Castle Rock dojo is very supportive. You wont regret joining the dojo!

I have been doing karate at Zultimate for 1 1/2 years now. I want to encourage everyone to do this. Sinsei Kristen is the best. I want to emphasize how helpful this is for people who are a little older. I am almost 60 years old and karate helps so much with directionality for brain fog and for those who may have similar limitations. It is really good exercise and I have always felt encouraged by higher ranking people in the group classes. The characteristics of this form of martial arts are all things we should aspire to including humility and respect. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Ive been training here for years! The value of this program is well worth the money. Im not the kind of person who never liked going to the gym, but I love coming here! Its awesome knowing that Im acquiring a skill AND getting a good workout! This is also the kind of place where ANYONE is welcome! I love my Z family!

When I first walked through the doors, I initially picked up on the clean, professional, and welcoming environment (much different than other martial arts studios I have been to). Throughout the two years I’ve trained here, that environment has not only been maintained but exceeded all expectations. Kristen (chief instructor) and her staff are experts in their craft. I’ve gained both a valuable skill set and confidence thanks to their investment in me as a student and I have had plenty of great workouts along the way. The training here is better and more efficient than any hand-to-hand combat training I’ve received in the military as a US Marine . I’m currently away for a temporary training assignment but look forward to continueing my martial arts journey with Zultimate Castle Rock as soon as I return. Kristen’s people skills are impeccable and she can train both children and adults with skill and precision.

Karate has been one of the best investments we have made for our son. After trying multiple team sports with lots of tears, we now have a sport that he has never complained about going to in 2 years! Sensei Kristen and the rest of her staff are everything you would want in a Karate instructor. Sensei Kristen is a fun teacher while at the same time teaching kids Humility, Self Discipline, Respect, Focus and much more. The kids have a great time in group classes! I highly recommend Z U Ultimate in Castle Rock!

ZUltimate in Castle Rock is not some institutionalized karate dojo but one that is a down to earth, fun yet formal enough to learn and practice. Instead of rote learning were taught karate as an art, as an exercise and as applied to real life. In just 5 months, I have noticed a marked improvement in my balance, speed and flexibility. I am looking forward to getting my son involved!
