Dress code sucks it only applies to some people not all for example if you have thick thighs and wear shorts you are going to get dress coded but if you have thin thighs and wear shorts that literally show you butt youll be perfectly fine and theres a lot more wrong with it too. The rules in this school are kinda sexist and the teachers say they care about you but more likely than not they dont mean it. also the food sucks as well. 10/10 would recommend if you hate your child.

This school is a very confusing school the people here have no idea what they are doing the jocks rule the school and dont get anything towards them only the kids with the bad reputation get the blame even if they didnt even do anything but stand there or watch, it automatically leads to them like a magnet it will always be there fault some how not the jocks. They do not know how to teach they give you a peace of paper and say do it they need to take it slow and walk you through it but that never happens and then they blame it on you

The teachers are amazing and they help my son a lot. This school is better then most of the Austin district schools.

Way too much homework and the teachers and assistant principles do not treat kids fairly at all or do anything about bullying. all they do is sit in the hallway and yell at kids for no reason at all. 10/10 would recomend if you want your child to hate you

I am a student here. I think the school is overall great. I met some wonderful people, and had some wonderful experiences. The fine arts programs are especially good here. I think a majority of the teachers here truly care about their students and their learning. I enjoyed my time here. Also, academically speaking, this school is pretty good.Here are some negative things that other students have said about this school:“Last year, there was a suicide.” This actually did happen.“This year, a 6th grade language arts teacher, who has a husband and children, got arrested for sexual harassment of a high schooler.” This actually happened too.“Bullying is a problem.” This is accurate, but in all fairness, you can expect bullying to be a problem anywhere.“Vaping/doing drugs is also a problem.” Yup.“The cafeteria food isn’t really that great.” True, but that’s not particularly the school’s fault. We can blame Michelle Obama and move on. Also, the Cafeteria food is going to be bad no matter what school you go to.“The dress code is too strict, and is very biased.” This is pretty accurate. Everybody is always really annoyed at how strict it is. With it being biased, the problem with it is that people are dress coded by what the teacher notices. And a tall person wearing shorts that are “too short” is much more noticeable than a short person wearing shorts that are “too short”. But even then, I’d say probably only 30-40% of the staff, maybe even less, truly care about dress code. The only times you really need to make sure you’re on dress code is the first week of school, and the week after winter break.There are other things too, but I’m going to stop my list here.So really, in terms of whether or not this is a good school, I say it’s a matter of whether you can overlook the bad so you can enjoy the good. That’s what I did, and I enjoyed my time here.

I think that this is proboly one of the most unfair school i have been to they target certain kids kids get bullied every day and the priciplas and teachers dont do anything. They are to strick and give punishment for the littlest things. They take away things for everyone whenit is a couple people doing it not just one. Every day i come to school and i feel like it is sometimes like i went back to elementry. The dresscode is very unfair people who have long arms and long legs cant wear any shorts and the short people can wear very short shorts and get away with it. CPMS has a lot of problems. First of all, the staff (teachers, AP etc..) keep saying how they are going to fix bullying, yet nothing ever happens. The school has a biased dress code that depends on if your tall, short, fat, skinny, a girl, or a boy. But, considering the overall its not the middle schools fault its the education system.

Ten times better than all schools in the district and the high school is even better!
