Only taken class 1 of womens self defense. AMAZING! So much fun and a really good work out. I am excited to build my confidence and claim my personal space.

This class was excellent. Gave me a bunch of new information. He taught us the laws and the do’s and donts! Along with being informative, he kept it entertaining and kept us engaged. Any question that were asked, got a nicely detailed answer along with an example of what he was explaining. I will be letting friends and family know about this class. I highly recommend it.

I had an excellent class with Stoneridge. David and his wife were knowledgeable, safe, and friendly. They covered the very basics and made sure my girlfriend felt comfortable with all facets of handling a firearm. They stayed vigilant on the public range and made sure to call out un-safe people when they saw them (too many these days!). I will definitely be making another trip down South to take more training from them.

This was the best ladies self-defense class. They made it extremely fun and experiential so you can retain what you learn. Love that they have other classes they offer to keep you in the practice of awareness! Thank you David for your expertise. Amazing good time.

Awesome class! I was very intimidated by guns before this class. I am now confident that I can safely & effectively handle and operate a handgun. Liz was great. She is extremely knowledgeable. She kept the class on target while still making it fun. I would 100% recommend this class to anyone.

Not impressed with your SUV (splattered with your logo and info) driving like an erratic psycho on i5 this evening. You should be ashamed of this behavior. Families were on the road, it was the peak of rush hour and were all lucky you didnt cause a catastrophic incident.Reply: 🤣🤣🤣 Not sure who the other vehicle was, but it wasnt me. I was one of the many vehicles the two of you tore past in a non-passing, lower speed zone. And I would love for OSP to get involved and ask some witnesses for their account of the events. You didnt have to continue chasing that Subaru, you could have followed traffic laws and continued on your merry way despite whatever they did first. Disgusting behavior then and disgusting behavior now.

I felt the class was informative a offered very useful information. The instructor was lively and amusing, kept us interested and engaged! Postive experience!

10/10 recommend the womens concealed carry class. Both instructors made everyone feel safe and comfortable. It was fun, while still being informative and safe. It was a great environment to ask them questions about your own handgun and all the different ones they have for you to practice handling.I would highly recommend this company to any of my friends.

Cleaning the firearm was not taught as outlined in the course curriculum. Other than that I had a great time learning about firearms. The course was fun and informative on real world situations. I participated in the women’s only all-day self-defense workshop. It was a lot of fun and very informative. The skills are practical. I look forward to the 6-week course. ☺️

We enjoyed the class that was very informative presented by someone enthusiastic and passionate about what they teach. Dave presents the material from a real life perspective from his years of service in law enforcement. This incite is invaluable to someone looking for good information on how to be a responsible concealed carry holder. He offers many other training courses that he and his wife are equally passionate about.

Im a first time gun owner and wanted/needed gun safety 101. This school was highly recommended so I drove from Gresham to Grants Pass for thr womens beginning safety class. The instructors covered everything from A to Z and I feel more confident in handling my gun now. The instruction were very thorough but also fun. I cant wait to sign up for my next class. I also hope that classes will soon be offered in Salem so I will be closer to home.

This was the situational experience of a lifetime.. The structure and equipment and settings were very professional. I Rob the store, I stopped some bad guys, I learned strategies that you cant just watch on YouTube. If you have a concealed carry license this is a great class to get you some education about some of the different situations you might need it for. If you dont have a concealed carry, this is also a great place to get one before the class. David & Liz are professionals as are their helpers. Caring people that want you to be prepared.

This class is awesome!!!! Got my blood pumping and heart thumping. Got to meet some great ladies and David was a wonderful instructor! This class gets you started on the basics and then you can work your way up to the next! I am a 67 year old female with arthritis and limited strength in my hands etc.I walked away from this class knowing I could help diffuse a situation if needed. I liked how Dave and the bad guys worked together to make us confront, diffuse and use our words to deescalate a situation if possible.Force is not always necessary and reminding of us to be aware of where you are and those around you. I highly recommend the Womens Beginning Handgun class at Stoneridge Tactical Academy. I went into the class with EXTREME trigger anxiety and I left with none. They taught women specific techniques for grip, stance, and gun handling that were a game changer for me. And the class atmosphere is the best: personal attention, not intimidating . . . fun! I took the womens beginners class. I feel alot more confident and knowledgeable about guns. Both David and Liz were great instructors. Next day my 14 year old daughter took the kids beginners class. The instructor gave so much information in class. I love that he emailed us the info he went over because it was a lot. I learned quite a bit about laws that I didnt already know. All in all, the class was quite informative and I enjoyed it!When I went to the safety class with Elizabeth, I learned so much! If you ever have the chance to take the gun safety class, I highly advise you take it! I feel so much more confident about aiming and cleaning my gun! It was a blast and very insightful! They are very patient and they taught me many ways of handling and taking care of my gun that I didnt know before! All in all, take the class, youll be glad you did!

I recently attended the Women-Be-Alert Personal Defense class. It was an excellent introduction to the massive world of self defense. The instructor, David Cunningham, perfectly portrayed what kind of mindset it takes to properly defend yourself using the foundations of Krav Maga. His teaching was very simple and precise, which is good for anyone who hasn’t had any experience with fighting or defense. I greatly appreciated that he was very patient, considerate, and inspirational throughout the 6 hour class. I learned a lot in that one class and had a lot of fun learning with my other classmates! Just knowing a little bit of how to defend yourself feels empowering.

I took this class and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Learned so much that I hoped to learn and much, much more. It was fun, personalized, and professionally presented. Cant wait to take more classes in order to keep improving my marksmanship. However, if I could only take one class, this would be it. Brought me from someone hesitant to even pick up a firearm to being confident in safely breaking them down, loading, and firing. Ive now discovered a great new hobby thanks to Liz and David at Stoneridge Tactical.

Impressed much? YES! David was expressive and engaging. He had extensive knowledge in handgun safety, Oregon law, and practical application. He was patient and allowed for many questions. It was not like a classroom, it was like a bunch of friends having a discussion. He made it fun and entertaining with lots of education. I am excited for his upcoming classes that I will certainly be attending.

This class was relaxed and full of constructive guidance provided for women wanting to become confident with the handling of hand guns. Liz and David started out with the number one gun safety facts. They took into consideration each person’s individual experience with gun use. Women attending were each given as much guidance as they individually required. Making class both structured, but relaxed,made for a good learning atmosphere. By the time it came to taking our group photo, friendly conversation made for a memorable experience. Thanks for a great learning experience! I left feeling like I could be confident with my gun if my husband was not able to be there as “my back up”.... I went to this class to see how much more confidence I could have if I were alone in a dangerous situation. I learned more about my own self confidence. If that’s what you are looking for, I recommend taking this class!

I recently took part in Stoneridge Tactical Simulation training, I was one of the Bad Guys. I have had all types of tactical and defensive firearms training and I can only say that this is as close to the real thing as it gets.Training with paper targets is one thing. Training with a live person that has the ability to shoot back is totally different. I learned so much and only have great things to say about the equipment, facility and the professionalism from the staff at Stoneridge Tactical Academy. Two Thumbs Up!

I went to the one day womens self defense class and it was amazing. You dont realize the simplest things could save you from an attacker. Our instructor David was amazing and helped if we didnt understand how to do something. I loved it so much I signed up for the 6 week class for womens self defense and am thinking of even signing up for other classes. I highly recommend Krav maga and I highly recommend doing it here.

I just finished the Women’s Beginning Handgun class with Liz Cunningham and Couldn’t be more pleased. The class was more than I hoped it would be! Informative, hands and and plenty of personal assistance by Liz! It was a wonderful learning experience with 9 other women in the class and many of us are looking forward to taking our next class together. I highly recommend Stoneridge Tactical for their extensive knowledge and easy communication style.

I attended the Concealed Carry class conducted on June 28, 2020.Overall, I felt the class was extremely interesting with very appropriate content and taught in a very relaxed but thorough manner by Mr. David Cunningham.The most valuable content for me was when David was telling us about his own experiences associated with the content he was covering. This was not just theory, but real-life events he had experienced provided as examples of the particular topic under discussion.Another aspect I found very valuable was the discussion on safety catches, and whether or not to carry a firearm loaded with a round chambered.I also loved that he made available for us a comprehensive collection of handguns to examine during breaks. It was good to see each student following the firearm safety principles that he covered right at the start of the class, as they picked up each firearm to examine.Another very valuable aspect of the class, was the coverage of specific Oregon statutes relating to when a handgun could be used as well as when a handgun could not be used. I was impressed that he emphasized the desirability to not get oneself into a dangerous situation in the first place as well as the desirability to de-escalate a dangerous situation in order to not have to use deadly force.Davids technique of allowing instant feedback and interaction with students made the class both enjoyable and probably much more comprehensive than it could have been without allowing students to contribute.I would highly recommend this class to anybody either contemplating getting a Concealed Carry license or even just needing to know when one could use a handgun and when not, irrespective of whether they wanted a Concealed license or not.I am looking forward to attending more of Davids classes in the future.

Wasn’t sure what to expect when my brother and I signed up for the concealed carry class at Stoneridge Tactical. Truly a great experience both informative and enjoyable. David is an incredible instructor and teaches in a very straight forward manner while keeping everyone engaged. Not to mention a pretty good sense of humor. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a concealed carry certification, $35 is a great bargain!

This was a very comprehensive class including real life situations and incidents. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to obtain their Oregon CHL. The instructor was more than qualified to be teaching the class and had a great sense of humor, but also expressing the seriousness of concealed carry and handgun mechanics. The class was very informative and educational. However, I really didnt care for the foul language.

As a new handgun owner and shooter, this class was fantastic. Both Dave and Liz are great instructors. Safety, as it should be, was always at the forefront of the class. They take the time to ensure everyone in the class understands what is being taught, they are able to tailor their instruction to the student’s level of experience and knowledge and obviously enjoy sharing their firearm knowledge and expertise. I highly recommend anyone looking for training to take any class they offer. I made the four hour drive from Portland to take the class and will take many more in the future to continue my knowledge and development as a handgun owner and shooter.

I enjoyed the Stoneridge Tactical “Beginning Handgun 101” adult co-ed live fire handgun course because I had never shot a handgun before. I had also not shot a firearm for 50+ years, when I earned my Boy Scout “Marksmanship” badge with a rifle as a teenager, so I was starting all over. Because I was an older “newbie” to handguns, I liked that the instructors provided both group and one-on-one instruction and step-by-step training. I especially enjoyed the training that emphasized safe behavior at the firing range, safe handgun handling techniques, and detailed instructions on how to disassemble and re-assemble different types of handguns - as well as how to fire the handguns properly. I highly recommend this course and I enjoyed getting to fire my two handguns for the first time.

Liz and David are very knowledgeable in everything from laws to safe gun range etiquette. Very informative class, and they made everything so easy to understand. Will definitely be taking more classes in the future with them!

David and Liz have managed to bring together years of experience and knowledge in a way that is fun and engaging. My son recently participated in the Basic Handgun Safety class for kids and learned so much! The instructor was patient with the kids, yet also knew how to make a conscious effort to ensure everyone in the class had their questions answered. I have participated in their Women’s class and also had a great experience. If you are familiar with firearms, or just want a basic rundown on how to be around them safely, Stoneridge Tactical is the place to go.

Took the Womens Beginning Handgun class on Aug 30. Dave and Liz are very knowledgeable and excellent instructors. I was very uncomfortable around my gun but after this class and the hands on training and information given to us while maintaining strict safety standards, I am now comfortable handling my weapon. I did the two day boot camp for hand to hand and hand gun self defense, and I was really impressed with how much progress we made. Liz and David are amazingly patient, personable and experienced. Liz and David Cunningham are highly-qualified professionals and together they make a great team! Both are knowledgeable and experienced instructors in handgun safety. Taking the Womens Beginner Handgun Course with them as a first or even a refresher class is definitely worth the $90 investment. This class reinforced what I already know about firearms and taught me a few new things too. I now feel more confident about my ability to use my handgun safely. Even so, in my opinion, this course does not offer the much needed knowledge and skills a woman needs to safely handle a concealed weapon. There is always more to learn and gun laws are changing. For this reason, I encourage everyone to enroll in their advanced handgun course. I plan to do this before I open/conceal carry. I do appreciate Lizs feedback which was positive and encouraging. She told me that Tatiyana and I had the best shot in the class! How awesome is that?! :)

The Stoneridge Tactical Academy, Oregon concealed carry class, was very informative and enjoyable. I had to travel a few miles to be able to be present for this particular class, taught by David Cunningham, but it was completely worth it. I would make the trip again without question, and I do plan to take future classes from Stoneridge Tactical Academy. I give the class five stars, and two thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻

I did not grow up with any firearms in my home. Just seeing a gun in a store made me fearful. I signed up for the beginning handgun safety class to help me overcome the fear and intimidation of firearms. The instructors put me at ease right away. They were so kind, informative, and helpful. Before the morning was over I had taken apart and put together over 8 different hand guns. I would highly recommend this course for all beginners. The knowledge and skills I learned were priceless. Stoneridge Tactical is a professional organization. My fear and intimidation were replaced with safety and respect .

ZERO STARS. LOOK FOR ANOTHER COMPANY. This company is extremely disorganized, lacks proper communication, and customer service. My husband purchased a class for me as a birthday gift and each and every time we tried to call, email, or book anything we were greeted with a text to a link to their website. The dates they provided as available were unavailable on their website and we were so thoroughly confused. And during all of this confusion there was zero customer service.After all of the confusion, I had a notification, less than 24hrs in advance that I was signed up for a class on a Sunday. When I emailed my frustrations and that I was out of town that weekend, they legitimately responded with a long email how it was mine and my husbands fault and that we were less intelligent compared to all of their other clients.Who treats customers this way?And to top it all off, they proved their disorganization by sending me this link to comment on photos of a class that I did not attend. I did not know I was signed up due to their lack of communication and they happily took $45 of mine. What a crock, this is a small valley and customer service goes a long way and Ill be sure to share my story with everyone I come across.

The handgun safety coarse was excellent. Now I feel more confident handling my pistol. During coarse We were taught to disassemble and reassemble our firearm and several other models as well. Lots of fun.

The 4 hour Concealed Carry Class at Stoneridge Tactical Firearms Academy was very informative and the instructor David Cunningham was very thoughtful and made the class enjoyable. Many questions were asked and he answered them very thoroughly! I enjoyed the class! Thank you, David!

I attended the concealed carry class with David Cunningham being the instructor. I was extremely impressed with David’s knowledge and desire to teach. It is very obvious he completely enjoys what he is doing. David involves the entire class in a very casual and relaxed environment. David Cunningham was the instructor in the class i was in on 6/18/2020. He was absolutely amazing! He has so much knowledge and makes class fun with funny stories and getting students to interact. I will definitely be taking more classes here with him! I will also be recommending Stoneridge Tactical Academy to anyone who is looking for these types of classes!

If your looking for a great place for yourself and your kids to learn about gun safety Stone ridge tactical is the place to go. Instructors know there business and make it a great learning environment. Wouldnt go anywhere else. My wife and kids learned a lot and had a blast.

I had an opportunity to volunteer as a role player during the Simunitions training. I was impressed by the level of instruction, focus on safety and intense realism. Students had to navigate through the decision making process of several simulated lethal encounters. If you want to test yourself in the most realistic shoot/dont shoot training exercises, I suggest you visit Stonridge Tactical Academy. I know I will.
