I love that my children attend a school that is challenging AND fun! The teachers and aides are fantastic, and the educational experience is very well-rounded. Small class sizes allow for many hands-on opportunities and individualized attention. Our specials classes and teachers are truly the best, and the after school classes rock too! BBS is a great place to be a kid!

I love Bright Beginnings School! I have been a parent at Bright Beginnings for the last 8 years and have also been on staff for 2 years as well. I am thankful everyday that I have a safe, enriching, and challenging school to send my children and for a welcoming family friendly community to belong. Our classes range from 17-22 students per class with a certified teacher and full-time aide instructing. Our lessons are engaging, hands-on, and accelerated. We continue to score some of the best AzMerit test scores in the state...while not over-stressing our students. Our students come to school excited to learn and discover! We offer amazing specials taught by master teachers in their areas: art, music, Spanish, technology, and wellness! My daughters have all thrived both socially and academically while attending. Teachers and administrators work hard to allow opportunities for our students to blossom into well-rounded motivated leaders and life-long learners!

We have been a BBS family for eight years. My three kids all love the school. The staff have high standards for learning and behavior, and the kids rise to the challenges. The curriculum, extracurricular activities, teaching staff and PTA are outstanding. The administration has always been friendly, helpful and organized. We highly recommend this school!

We have a 5 year old in kindergarten with Mrs. Nichols. We have had the best experience. Our daughter is strong minded and independent. She was not adjusting well but Mrs. Nichols worked with us patiently. My daughter is now excelling. When I was frustrated with my daughters behavior, the principal invited me into her office and supported me as I shared how I wanted her to succeed. The principal addressed my concerns and showed her support as she continued to check in. I am shocked by the prior review as my experience has differed so significantly. Mrs. Nichols was committed to working with my daughter and showing support to us. She met with us before class so we could discuss strategies. This is my second child in this school and I am continuously grateful we made the decision to stay at BBS.

We thought this school was our dream school, we were SO wrong. The school is governed by their school board(3 teachers and a front office assistant) and their principal (to which they have not had one for months) our daughter was relentlessly bullied this school year. Our daughter is 7. The meetings with school board were a joke. We were scoffed at and eyes rolled. We were told by Mrs. Peggy French that our daughter would just be bullied at the next school as well. Their zero tolerance policy is nonexistent. They have failed our family and our child.Their awards are all biased as they push and push you to vote for them as best charter school. Please do NOT send your child here. The school just wants your money. We are so so happy to be changing schools and removing ourselves from this nightmare of a school and staff.

I recommend seeking education for your children elsewhere. You will be treated unfairly, concerns ignored, and the principal has zero control over her staff. In fact she has no idea whats going on in her school and will simply ask a teacher for insight before heading into any meetings if you can even set one up since she is hardly ever there and does not return phone calls. My wife was treated poorly every day she would pick up my son and one day I finally recorded an interaction when I went with her where the staff invaded my car as my wife was driving yelling at her to put a phone down that she was not on and had connected to both our cars hands free and had a wireless headset on all while yelling at us to move forward through the circle as they held our door open...When I called to inform the principal she literally never returned my phone call. She still hasnt and we pulled our son from this school. They are now trying to take yet another months payment from us when our son will be attending another school. The teacher Mrs. Nichols was short, rude, and treated even our son poorly in her classroom. Every day she would put him in the car and make a callous remark about his day and when we set up a meeting and asked for her to try to engage him differently we were told instead he needed a different bedtime despite getting over ten hour of sleep every night regularly in order to fix the issue. When we said we wanted them to try to make efforts differently, they simply said no that is how their classroom is run. He made a card to say goodbye to his teacher the last day despite our terrible dealings and she never even said a word or a thank you to our son making him feel bad. This school is terrible!!!!!

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!!!!This place was absolutely hell for me for four years of my life. I was a second grader at the time, Im now in high school. The principal was horrific. She degraded my mom in various situations. At this school, Ive seen teachers show bigotry, full on scream at kids, pick up cigarettes off the ground, etc. The middle school portion closed because of this one girl...her father was rich. The girl was not right in the head. He paid the school to let her do whatever she wanted. She stabbed one of my friends in the neck with a pencil. My friend got in trouble because she was pushing her buttonsThis girl also beat me up in the bathroom with a hockey stick. When a teacher was notified, she accused me of lying. After this girl threatened to shoot me and my friend with a rifle, and was let back at school the next day, my mom went down to the school with the police. The principal let this girls father on their charter due to his wealth, so he could control the teachers actions towards his child like they were marionettesTHIS IS HELL. GO WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!!

Do you want your kids to do dittos all day ? ( aka work sheets that they copy their friends on) Do you want bigoted teachers? A school run by someone who knows nothing about education or developmentally appropriate curriculum ? Children need to play and learn through exploration. Forcing them .... rather shoving 3rd grade curriculum down the throat of a 3 year old is not only STUPID, it is damaging in the long. Its like trying to teach a parrot the to sing. It is meaningless and waste of your time. This school is DREADFUL and any parent who puts their children here does not give a care about them. I hope this place gets shut down. As it should , there is never enough adults per child in each classroom. Horrible, horrible school.
