Since moving from outside Buffalo, NY 3 years ago where my daughter took karate & had a great school &;instructors, we have been looking long & hard for that same atmosphere & quality of instructors as she had. We have found that at Lim Karate!!! They were very welcoming & Grandmaster & Sr. Prof. Patrice Lim are absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about how they have welcomed my family into not only their school, but into their family as well. My daughter has grown &; advanced not only in karate, but in herself.

My son joined 2 years ago when he was 5 and we liked it so much that I joined too! I like the confidence and respect my son has gained while being in their classes. They have the students follow a set of rules for the classes, but they also stress those rules be carried over into home/school as well. They are really invested in the student as a whole, not just the karate aspect of them. It really is one big family and everyone is treated as such.

We found Lim Karate after our pediatrician recommended martial arts for our special needs children as a means of therapy. Karate has helped our children tremendously. My husband and I also joined, allowing us to train as a family. The instructors are superb. They are extremely knowledgeable and are very patient with students. I have never seen a martial arts studio provide so much guidance, discipline, character, and encouragement with love. We initially sought a martial arts facility for our children, and instead found Ohana.

We first signed our 6 year old son, then decided that the whole family should be part of this wonderful program. Our family of six has been training and instructing for four years now. We have made so many wonderful friends and had many opportunities to meet and train with Legendary Masters. Our family has grown so much being a part of this organization, our children have learned patience, respect, dedication, discipline and social skills. Lim Family Karate isnt just about competing and winning trophies and titles, they want to build the children up and make them productive leaders in their communities.

Our family loves Lim Kenpo Karate. Our three children have been practicing martial arts for a total of seven years. My husband and I are confident in the teaching that is taking place. They are learning not only martial arts, but also how to defend themselves against being attacked or bullied. My oldest son started training when he was just 4 years old... he is now 21. I started a year after, I thought at the time it looked like good exercise.. It was/is much more. I also have my two youngest training .... 6 and 8 years old. Training with the Lims has instilled character and discipline with the entire family.

I started at Lim Kenpo with my family years ago. Right from the start you are treated like family. I learned so many things other than Karate in my training. It helped me be the person I am today. I now have a family of my own and we still love going to visit and support them and they still support me in what I do. I love that you not only learn Karate but you learn the history and where it came from. You learn respect and how to work hard for what you got. Lim Kenpo Karate is a great influence on my six year old son, and all the kids in his class! This program imparts discipline, family values, and basic respect,as well as self confidence. And its fun! This school is head and shoulders above other marshal art schools weve tried.

Instructors are consistent, patient, and personal. This experience has been so beneficial for both of my boys, but especially my 8-year-old son where Im also seeing some improvements at school that I believe are directly related to this karate experience. The Lim Family of Kenpo Karate is one of the most respectful groups. They carry themselves in a manner of which others should look up to. Their skill sets are also great. I started training with Lim Kenpo ten years ago when I was four. After ten years I still love to go and train with good, honest people who are patient and very respectful. The instructors are very good with children as well as adults. It is very family oriented and is a great thing for the whole family to get involved in.

I have been training at Lim Kenpo Karate for about 3 years now. It has not only helped me be able to make friends and socialize, but it has helped my sister with her anxiety and my brother(who is special needs) feel very welcome. The fact that they treat him with such kindness makes me very happy. I always wanted a big family, uncles, cousins, aunts, grandparents etc, but because of some circumstances I wasn’t able to have that connection with the people I am related too. However, I gained a large family when I joined this dojo. Everyone looks out for each other and truly care for one another, we all become one Ohana(family).I really love all the instructors and everyone else there. It is a great place to not only a school that teachers you how to defend yourself, but you’re learning a lot of life lessons from the people you end up working with – students, peers and instructors.

I have been training with Lim Kenpo Karate since I was 8 years old, I am now 26 years old. Being with Lim Kenpo has shaped me into the person I am today and the people I train with have become my family. Good activity for the whole family... We have been training with the Lim Ohana for a while now, and I still remember our first day. My mother SGM Dechi Emperado and husband Sigung Patrick Rocillo had the pleasure of recently attending one of the Lims events. We felt so much Aloha and Ohana from everyone. The Seminar was fabulous, and demonstrated knowledge and discipline. It is a must to attend one of their events if you are able to. We loved it!
