This is an Amazing company. It is a 5 star + They have helped so many people become and/or stay independent. No matter what the disability driver rehab center will be there for you. Everyone there is specially trained and certified or license in there expertise. They treat you like family they make you feel welcome and are very friendly. Latisha Keith is one of the rehab Specialist you can’t help but love this girl she is very friendly and passionate about helping others. My husband and I highly recommend DRC. It is a blessing to have a company with such highly trained individual here in VA. Thank you all at DRC your the best!!!

The team at DRCE is amazing!! They helped my husband a few years ago get hand controls in his car and now three years later docking stations and hand controls for our Ford Explorer! They took their time to make sure everything worked for us. We are both wheelchair users and now we can finally independently go to places together!! Thank you DRCE for being so caring of your costumers. Seriously go here if you just need advice on what car will work for you before you purchase or if you need modifications to your current car.

TOP NOTCH!!! What can I say, from the minute I made my initial phone call to the end of my modifications DRCE was outstanding. The entire staff CARES and it shows through the entire process. A huge plus to this company is not only are they a driving school but they also do vehicle modifications for the handicapped. I did my due diligence when getting quotes on my modifications and to say the least their prices are more than FAIR. I went through a driving school in my local town, but after going through their school they were unable to sign me off on certain modifications I wanted/needed. DRCE was able to take care of this aspect of needs for me because they have the correct equipment to sign you off. If you need a driving school or modification facility just call DRCE and dont waste your time anywhere else.

5 stars, from the moment I spoke to Trista on the phone for the first time I felt like I was talking to a friend. She answered all my questions n made me feel at ease. I went for my appt a bit nervous not knowing what to expect. There I met Tish and Tammy and other members of the team all great and so easy to talk to. When it came time to getting behind the wheels Tish helped me to understand the hand controls n made me feel so relax, again I felt I had a friend in the adapted car with me. Tish was wonderful, she was so down to earth which helped me relax, made for a wonderful experience. I cant wait to continue on this journey with this great Team at DRCE thank you all so much.

The thorough service always ensures my husband has everything set up in a way that not only is safe, but is convenient and aesthetically pleasing. He has had multiple vehicle modifications and weve always been pleased. Tammy Phipps is a pleasure to work with and always has the individuals needs in mind. My husband is missing both hands and she was instrumental in finding a safe and convenient way for him to drive independently. Today he received his modified 2020 Chevy Traverse and absolutely loves it. We cant recommend this place highly enough!

I visited DRCE for the first time in 2019 with a sense of hesitation, not knowing what to expect. Tammy, Trista, and Marcus were exceptional in helping me figure out the right equipment, getting the license and placard from the DMV, and eventually installing the left foot accelerator in my Nissan Rogue. They are clearly experts in this area and set a very high bar for service quality. The installation was done in the promised time and is so subtle one hardly notices it on a cursory glance; Justin did a great job. They were transparent and fair with the prices and were generous to not charge me for waiting more than 2 hours at the DMV for my test. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone who needs adaptive equipment in their vehicle!!!

This amazing business was founded by a wounded warrior who served in Afghanistan and a retired Army Major who founded the first and only comprehensive driving program in the Department of Defense at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2008. Under one roof, the Driver Rehabilitation Center for Excellence (DRCE) will do a full driving evaluation of someone who is disabled but wants the freedom and mobility of driving restored to their life. DRCE provides a comprehensive program to evaluate whether the person is capable of driving, designs a system to get them back on the road and modifies vehicles in their state of the art shop to accommodate special needs. In the past therapists working with the disabled and vehicle modifiers adapting vehicles for the disabled worked in different silos and talked past one another. DRCE integrates the entire process.Not only does DRCE service wounded warriors and other disabled persons wishing to get back on the road, the also provide independent driver evaluations for senior citizens. In my case, my wife and I wanted to provide other family members assurance that a senior family member was still capable of driving locally to familiar locations during the day. DRCE put this senior family member through a series of mental agility, coordination and on the road evaluations then delivered a comprehensive report on this persons ability to drive.The two co-founders, Josh and Tammy, are on site you work with them during the evaluation. Highly recommended for anyone who is disabled and wants to drive again or who wants to evaluate the driving capabilities of a senior family member.
