Peyton works very well with kids and takes time to understand what’s right for each child. He customizes the work best suitable for their growth. Kumon was what introduced my son to the advanced topics in math very early on in elementary which helped him in the areas of competitive math in middle school. He was able to learn thoroughly the high level topics which otherwise he would not have been exposed to. Because of Peyton’s way of working, my son looks forward to doing math every single day. Being in middle school, he is able to tackle high school math competitions solely because of Kumon and Peyton’s team.

We had our two children in a couple of programs prior to Kumon to supplement their reading and math skills. When we met Peyton and Annie we knew Kumon was the right program for our children. That’s because it is not a tutoring program, it is a learning program; there is a difference. Finally, a program that follows a tried and true approach where children enjoy learning using the principles of repetition and building self confidence.

Investing in your child is the #1 thing you can do. My daughter has flourished with the consistency and is almost over prepared now for kindergarten. It is a great program that holds the child and parent accountable. They also will work with you if you go on vacation etc.

My daughter has been studying in the Carmel West Kumon center since 2016 for both math and reading. We cannot say enough about the excellent experience weve had with Mr. Peyton, Ms. Annie, Ms. Megan and all the staff members working in this location. Through Kumon study, my daughter was able to develop a good habit of completing her work on time, improve her reading and math skills and build up her confidence when facing with challenges. This year, she was selected to be part of the advanced math program in her school, learning together with the top students one grade above her regular level. She told us that Kumon helped her get the opportunity and gave her the confidence to take the challenge. In addition, the Kumon center also offered a great environment for kids to learn from and inspire each other. In the past few years, we were honored to attend the annual ceremony where my daughter listened successful stories from other students that motivated her to work harder and smarter. Last year, she eventually got the opportunity to be on the stage share her own story with the fellow Kumon students. We were very proud of her achievements, which wouldnt be possible without the guidance and support from the Kumon center.

Our son has been going there for over a year and we are proud of his progress. Mr. Peyton and Mrs. Annie are doing a great job. All the tutors are professional and very helpful.

Kumon is a great investment in your kids future. My KG student gets up and does the work on his own, he says his school homework is very easy because he does Kumon, Kumon makes me smarter.My kids still give me hard time to do what they are supposed to do, but they understand the value it is giving them . Kumon is one of the things I threaten to take away if they misbehave and they get upset!The center management is very very organized and detailed! Not every Kumon center is the same. Mr Ding understands what you want and he makes sure to partners with you for your kids benefit! Very happy with this decision and it is worth the drive!

This location is absolutely phenomenal! Mr. Peyton and staff are true professionals at what they do. My son enjoys going to kumon 2x weekly for language and math and never objects. His confidence and stamina have improved significantly and my goal to solidify and establish strong fundamentals met. Mr. Peyton truly cares about the success of his students and it is apparent! Highly recommend this location in particular.. you wont be disappointed!

Kumon-Carmel West is one of our favorite and best rated learning center in Charlotte. Under excellent supervision and guidance of Mr. Peyton Ding, the kids learn a great deal of Math concepts and Reading skills. We enrolled our son some three years back and have seen good results so far, he’s mostly ahead in Math in his class and understands what is being taught in school very easily. Kumon has given him an edge over other kids for sure.The staff and teachers are well qualified for the job and friendly toward kids. I totally recommend this center for those who are looking to enroll their kids in a place safe, as well as worth the time and money!

Kumon teaches you math and other things like that. They try to help you succeed in life and school so you will succeed in the future. If you want to learn and further improve yourself, Kumon is the way to go. Also, the staff here are staff members and they try to teach you math and possibly other subjects. I gave this fine establishment 5 stars because I am all for their goal of trying to help students and trying to help them learn new concepts or reinforce already known concepts. Overall, I am very proud of what they are doing and I know some people who went here and are doing well now.

We are totally pleased with the extraordinary quality and commitment Peyton and Annie have created and instill in each student. We only wish this Kumon of Mr. and Mrs. Ding existed before worrisome gaps in the education of our son were found, in spite of him being an excellent student. Mr and Mrs Ding accurately pinpointed the deficits and now, our son, as a freshman in high school, enjoys math. The method and continuous support that the directors and teachers in this center give to young kids , make them face any difficulty in math and reading with the most knowledge, confidence and enjoyment.This Kumon and its directors are the absolute best!

Our daughter lacked self confidence in Kindergarten. Within a few weeks of starting Kumon, her math and reading skills improved dramatically. Recently, she won the Math Bee and placed 3rd in the Spelling Bee at school. We are very pleased with the results Kumon has produced.

My son goes there for his classes.. we are very happy with the staff, and specially Mr Ding. He is a very responsible person and very passionate at what he does.. Very professional owner and staff. My children have been attending this center for years and are excelling in school, consistently being 2-3 years ahead of their school grade. The owner is always available to answer any questions or concerns. When my family first moved to Charlotte, we inquired other Kumon centers and with Mr. Peytons knowledge of the program and responsiveness, we knew this would be the right center. My wife and I are very pleased with my childrens progress.

My daughter started here at a fairly early age and over the past 3 years I have seen her grow tremendously. She is well above other students her age and it is all thanks to the Kumon program and highly committed staff. The center here is family-owned and operated and this family truly gives each day their all! Believe me, this is not always the case at every center but here, the staff will go above and beyond to ensure your child reaches their full potential in Reading and Math. I would highly recommend this center to anyone who may be considering, both for the rigorous program as well as the great people at Kumon Carmel West!

Great place for learning! Mr Ding and his team are extremely dedicated in my childs learning. We trusted Mr Ding with the development of our child and we are starting to see the fruits of the labor! This is not a tutoring centre but a learning centre. Tutoring provides remedial lessons while Kumon sets your child up for life long success. Thank you Kumon!

My kid was struggling with both Reading and Mathematics. Mr. Peytons patience and understanding nature has brought a huge change in my kid and I am hopeful that he would get ready for Kindergarten by August. The center is very nice and kids friendly. They promote children growth and get children academically ready.

I am so happy that my children joined the Kumon Center of Charlotte/Carmel West. Mr. Peyton Ding truly cares about the success of his students and is committed to doing whatever is necessary to make the kids a success at his center.We were new to Charlotte and I tried to enroll my 6th grader in another Kumon program in South Charlotte. The owner was not willing to take him on as a student because he was in 6th grade and the owner did not believe he would be committed or successful in the program even though he had done Kumon before.Mr. Peyton did not see his grade as an issue or barrier to his success. Mr. Peyton was willing to take my 6th grader as a student and work with him. He has encouraged both my kids to be committed to the program and has kept them motivated through the various incentives offered at his center. My kids have been in the program since the beginning of the school year and are doing very well in the program. It is a safe and orderly place. There is always someone watching the kids to ensure that they do not leave the center without their parents.I would highly recommend the Carmel West Kumon Center. All are welcome and all are encouraged to succeed. Mr. Peyton and his team are excellent Kumon instructors. This is a model Kumon Center.

My son has been going to Kumon for almost 1 year. He has excelled at both math and reading since he started. Mr. & Mrs. Ding both encourage my son to work hard and never give up.

After enrolled in kumon my son is now better in math and english. I think the daily homework helped him to improve in both the subjects. Before this he was not able to finish his class work as he was very slow from the other students in his class. But now he improved a lot and im very happy for him.

Very dissatisfied, I called to ask for answer to tutoring and the guy on the phone did not wanted to provide information because I live on the other side of town. When I ask him about pricing he could not speak English clearly and was getting frustrated. I wanted to take my kids to tutoring and I would not recommended due to the fact that these are not people that understand English properly.

We have been going here for over three years and cannot be more satisfied. Very professional and you will be surprised what your kids can do at such a young age when channeled and guided properly.

Patient instruction and suitably challenging worksheets have led to a significant improvement in math skills for all three of my children.

All I can say is I wish I wouldve known about this program sooner. I think the pricing is much higher than the other programs out there ( at the top of the Kumon scale) but I guess its worth it long term.
