This studio can win some big awards, and produce solid dancers, but they dont value relationships (in or out of the studio). They just want to make little robot dancers who dont have any sort of life outside of CDC. It is not a healthy environment.

If you’re looking for a dance home, you won’t find a studio better than Carolina Dance Capital!!As a dancer who has done recreation AND competition, I have experienced nothing but love and support from the amazing teachers and staff. I could never imagine dancing anywhere else.I’ve never had an environment where who I am is not only tolerated, but fully accepted as well. CDC is welcoming of everyone!The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that we are getting the absolute best training and in my time at Carolina Dance Capital, I have had so many opportunities that just aren’t offered at other studios.Ms. Nina Schulte is the unicorn of all dance teachers and one of my all time favorite people. She has so much experience in the dance world and is absolutely incredible at what she does. She’s truly one of the most amazing people you will ever meet. She has taught me so much, not just about dance but many life lessons that I will carry with me forever. Ms. Nina is the kindest, sweetest, most creative, protective, and supportive person ever and I am so lucky to be able to work with her.From the dancers, to the teachers, to the studio parents, Carolina Dance Capital is one huge family!!

I don’t even know where to begin. To start, I honestly don’t know what all of these bad reviews are for this is the most amazing studio I have ever been to. From the professionalism to the staff I have never been more happy anywhere else. CDC is my second home with my second family there are just such amazing and kind hearted people here I always walk in and out of the studio with a smile and we always have a good time. As someone who has been dancing for 5 years and competing for 3 I can honestly say I have never grown more here not even just skill wise I have grown as a person as well. Ms Nina Schulte is most definitely the most AMAZING person I know she inspires me so much and always pushes me so I can get better. While other people may say otherwise I can confidently say that you are not going to get better training anywhere else in Charlotte. Every single one of the staff members are extraordinary in their own way from the front desk staff to the recreational staff. The owners are the nicest people ever. I cannot express enough how amazing this studio is it’s a family and a home for so many people. This studio gives you life long friends and gives you so many ways to become a professional. They give you so many opportunities to become an amazing person and dancer. I have never felt safer anywhere else. Carolina Dance Capital is the most welcoming place I have ever been to. They focus on bettering each individual dancer and you are NOT just a number , you are a team member , a VIP, and part of something amazing.

This is my daughters 3rd year dancing at Carolina Dance Capital and she loves it!! Shes had great experiences each year with her dance instructors, who are all very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. A friend of mine has a daughter who dances on one of their competitive teams, and loves the same warm, caring and professional environment there as well. Highly recommend!!

Best studio in town. true dance suspension floors so not to hurt girls /guys when they dance, the Instruction is top notch professional and a wonderful environment for your children to be in!!! highly recommend them

Love the teachers, have serious issues with Nina. I’ve personally seen her make 2 kids cry and I have heard about other instances. Your child is just a number here. The kids put up with her moodiness and bullying because it’s a very competitive dance studio.

I am a mother of 4 girls who are all students at Carolina Dance Capital. This is our 4th season here. I have recreational and competition students enrolled. We relocated to Charlotte several years ago. Dance is extremely important to our family. The process of relocation included extensive research on dance studios in the area. We are a family of color and ethnic diversity was at the top of the list of requirements that we had. We watched a plethora of online videos and scoured through countless social media accounts and were quite discouraged to find that none of them seemed to be a good fit.One afternoon I noticed that a video from Carolina Dance Capital popped up on our suggested videos list and we watched it. Right away we were captivated by the fact that the dances had a diverse group of children in them and we were pretty much sold. When we walked into the studio 4 days after our big move we had no idea what a life changing decision we were making for our girls. They are learning in a fun and engaging atmosphere and the quality of instruction they are receiving is absolutely phenomenal. They have had amazing opportunities and have made what we believe to be lifelong friendships. Carolina Dance Capital is an extraordinary dance studio and we are beyond blessed to be here.

CDC is a very arrogant organization. They are strict with schedules with everyone else but themselves. My daughter made many great great and enjoyed the dance part, but the fake smiles and condescending teaching methods were just not a good fit for enjoying the art of dance.

4 years ago, I thought I would never find the perfect dance studio, until my friends recommended Carolina Dance Capital. Now as a senior in high school, I can say that without a doubt, Carolina Dance Capital is and forever will be my second home. There is no studio with more professionalism and class than CDC. I have been trained by amazing teachers/mentors, and can confidentially say that CDC offers more than I could have ever dreamt. Previously coming from a studio that solely focused on certain students and didn’t give most of their dancers the time of day, Carolina Dance Capital made me realize that there ARE teachers like the studio director, Miss.Nina, who do everything in their power to train and encourage each and every student. I couldn’t recommend a more perfect studio.

I never realized how much I was missing out on such a positive environment and an equal opportunity for everyone until I came to Carolina Dance Capital! I can confidently say that I have found a home at CDC. Not only am I learning important technique and skills to be a dancer, but also life lessons that will follow me after I graduate. My daughter danced at another studio for several years before coming to CDC. I had always thought we were at the “best” studio in town. After being at CDC for just a very short while, I can already clearly see what were missing before now. I think what sets CDC apart is how professional the studio director is; and that she controls the growth of the studio, in order to ensure each dancers artistic goals are being attended to. As a parent, having such an organized and responsive studio director is a GODSEND! And as a dancer, my daughter feels valued and cared for, not like a small fish in a very large pond. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. It’s such a breath of fresh air to be greeted by smiling faces and positive attitudes when you walk into a studio, instead of moody, stretched too thin staff. For dancers (and their parents) that dance at the competitive level and truly wish to grow as an artist, they want real, professional training. CDC is the place to get it.

Carolina Dance Capital has been one of the best things in my life. This is my 12th year competing at this studio and I have done Recital here before that. Each year I grow more and more in love with it. This experience has changed my life and made me a better person. I have not only received outstanding dance lessons but have also learned life lessons. It has been so influential for me and I love it so much. The teachers are outstanding and the team has an unbreakable bond. You are guaranteed a second family here at Carolina Dance Capital.

Our children attended classes there for four years. The lack of communication, professionalism, respect for the parents and their time, and overall attitude towards the younger kids in the competitive program is astounding. For the most part the individual dance instructors are fantastic, but the management of the studio does not have the childrens best interest at heart, only the promotion of their brand.

My oldest daughter has been with CDC for 3 yrs doing recreational dance and my family couldnt be happier! She has grown so much as a dancer and loves Ms. Diana. This year she added Gymnastics as a class and is excited to be with Ms. Sam and Ms. Taylor. She loves going to classes and always looks forward to Recital day. I also have a 3 yr old who grew up seeing her sister dance and asked me to dance this year. She is eager to go to class and loves Ms. Anna! All teachers are so loving, they truly care for the children, and teach them how to be great dancers.Ms. Sue and the other staff at the front desk are very friendly and professional and are always ready to help and please the customer! The communication between the studio and families is wonderful always through e-mails, Facebook updates, or handouts.This studio is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent, fun, and loving place for their child to learn and grow! We feel like a family even though my girls dont do competition. Thank You!!!!!

Such a disappointing experience. Nina & her mom try to tell you that they have your childs best interest at heart when they only care about the studios needs. They are very arrogant & unfriendly.

My daughter has been dancing for 6 years total of which 4 of those years have been competitively. At the previous studio she was dancing at, which is also a local studio, things began changing over the last couple of years and we became disappointed with the level of instruction that was being provided and the lack of opportunities for growth. After making the decision to leave we researched local studios in the area and were thoroughly impressed with Nina Schulte, the Artistic Director, her staff, and the studio. I am not one who enjoys change so during this process I wanted to make sure that we made the best decision possible for our daughter so I asked Nina if we could meet in person as I had lots of questions I wanted to ask about her program. Nina immediately scheduled some time to meet with me and gave me her undivided attention for over an hour making sure to thoroughly answer each and every question I threw at her, and trust me there was at least two pages typed worth of questions. When I left that meeting I knew this was the perfect place for my daughter to continue her passion for dance. It has now been a few months and we couldnt be more thrilled to have become a part of the CDC family, and I truly mean family. Everyone is so helpful and supportive in every meaning of the word. Words cannot express how caring, talented and supportive Nina and her staff are to the girls and parents, as are the dancers. They welcomed my daughter immediately and took her under their wings and the growth she has accomplished in this short time is astonishing. I knew this was going to be a great change but CDC has gone above and beyond all of my expectations thus far. Whether your child dances recreational or competitively please consider CDC as you will not be disappointed. Thank you Nina for all of the opportunities you are providing. My family recently moved from MA to Charlotte this past summer. This was a major move for all of us especially for my teenage daughter. We moved her away from all she ever knew in including a studio she danced competitively at since she was very young. We are so blessed to have found Carolina Dance Capital. This studio not only provides her with an amazing broad base of dance training and technique but also a place where every dancer is truly cared for. Everyone is made to feel special and students really encourage one another and celebrate each others victories. I am so impressed with the progress she has made these past few months but more importantly I am thankful for the warm, welcoming environment Carolina Dance Capital provides all dancers. My girls have danced in the recreational and then competitive dance programs at CDC for 4 years. We found this studio at Adamfest when we first moved here. We have just loved dancing at the studio. The studio is a family to us. The teachers are fabulous and truly care about the kids in dance and in life. The studio is very new, clean and professional. After going to dance competitions we realized we were with the best studio around! If your child is looking to dance, this is your place!

I have two daughters that have great dedication to dance - they eat and breathe it every day of the week. We were at another dance studio in Charlotte and had become disappointed with the level of instruction that was being provided. After making the decision to leave the other studio, we decided to make visits to each of the other area dance studios. My daughters attended a group class at CDC to try it out. When we picked them up they were very quiet until we go into the car and then they both just started screaming how awesome the class was. We asked them if they wanted to check out any of the other studios and they said no way - they found their dance home. We have been with CDC for over two years now and couldnt be more thrilled. They have a great support system of other kids that are equally dedicated and accomplished with the same passion for dance that they have. The kids all cheer for each other and are so supportive, which you dont often see at many dance studios. Nina Schulte, the artistic director, and the staff are some of the most talented instructors in the nation. If you are looking for the best instruction for your child, I can highly recommend Carolina Dance Capital.

Really grateful to be part of the Carolina Dance Capital family and highly recommend this studio! Our daughter has been a competitive dancer in the area for about 4 years and we recently made a studio change seeking a more positive environment as well as advancement in training and opportunities. I have to say CDC has not just met but has exceeded our expectations. Our daughter has danced in several environments since the age of 3 due to job moves and this by far has been the best experience we have had at a studio. She joined the competitive CDC VIP program this past summer. The technique, training and educational opportunities are top notch and yes we have seen our daughter grow as a dancer on stage which is wonderful and we are so pleased. Off stage the enviornment has been so rewarding and FUN for her and for us! The director, owners, all the staff, families and kids have been just a joy to be around. Feels great to be part of a positive, hard working team and it is really like family and we are glad to be a part of it.Making a change and transition into a new environment is not always easy for a child/teen or the family but I can say that CDC has made the transition a great one. Actually feels like weve been here for years! My husband and I agree that change is good and can help you grow, we just never expected this change to be so rewarding, and it truly has been. BY FAR THE THE BEST STUDIO IN THE REGION!!!! Coming form a 25 years+ Professional Dance Career both my husband and I have very high expectations when it comes to where both of our daughters dance, train and spend most of their time other than school! I am proud to say that Carolina Dance Capital has not only met my expectation but also exceeded beyond words can express in every aspect, Facility, Administrative Staff, Professional Faculty and so much more!!Both of my daughters started dancing at a very young age in the Recreational Program and looooved it, shortly after and with the inspiration and dedication of staff, teachers, Carolina Dance Capital very own Competitive Company (VIPS) with hard work my daughters joined the Competitive Program. Carolina Dance Capital is their family is their Home!! Both of our daughters have grown and learned tremendously with their dancing and as young ladies. Have you ever been overwhelmed with so many positive good feelings about something that you really dont know how to say thank you or you guys are great or what ever. My wife an I are soooo proud to be at Carolina Dance Capital. From the Seniors all the way down to the minis and Rec. there is not one girl that is not talented, sweet and caring about all the others girls. We are truly one large family. I have finally figured it out why that many girls, parents and brothers get along so well. It starts with the teachers/ choreographers. They love each and every one of these girls. They support them in every way and are a mentor in many levels. what a lot of people dont know is how much these ladys influence these girls over the years. I just cant say enough how proud we are of the teachers and dancers of CDC My girls came into this studio this year and was adopted by everyone from the first day of class. I guess thats why I never have a problem doing all that I do for CDC. I want to give back. To all the prop dads that have helped me this year thank you from the bottom of my heart. You guys are the best!!! Allison you are like a little sister to me and Diana and I love you!!! Jessica you are an amazing choreographer and just flat out crazy, I can always count on you to give me a smile. Nina you are such an extremely talented choreographer and your vision is amazing. there are so many great qualities about these three ladys. Thank you for being apart of my girls life. You are truly leaving your footprint in the hearts of all the girls
