I would add a photo as suggested, but the plates are empty. 10 stars for the Rosh Hashanah dinner. What a comfort-thank you!

Ive sampled some of Chef Alyssas food before, so when I heard they were doing brunch, I was so excited to try it.We went on Saturday just after 9am and we were the only ones there (everyone else is probably still sleeping at that time). You order at the counter, take a number, find a seat, and they bring your food out to you.We got the Pancake Tacos, the Modern Southern Bowl, and the Stuffed French Toast. Everything was amazing, but the Stuffed French Toast was probably our favorite. The over easy egg and fresh berries easily made it the best French toast Ive ever had.I loved the pancake tacos. The flavor was great in the pancakes and scrambled eggs and the thick cut bacon put it over the top. Im not even a big pancake person, but these were great. The Modern Summer bowl eat light and refreshing. It definitely felt like a good healthy option compared to the other things we got. We added some of the homemade hot sauce which really complemented the flavors. We got our food quickly and the everyone was so friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite (possibly my favorite) brunch in Charlotte. Highly recommend!

I’ve hosted many events at Chef Alyssa’s kitchen over the last three years and couldn’t be happier. The staff is super attentive and friendly, the food is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is great (brand new everything). Chef Alyssa’s kitchen is nationally recognized as one of the best cooking classes/experiences in the country and you certainly won’t be disappointed. They have cooking classes almost every evening, weekend brunch, and now they cater to your home or office. This is a super fun experience that you just have to try with your family or office. It’s one of the best things the Queen City has to offer, and Charlotte’s got a lot....

Wife and I came for Saturday Brunch. Entrees averaged about $12-$14 dollars, but the quality of food was fantastic. I got a breakfast bowl with short ribs on a bed of grits topped with a poached egg, my wife got the stuffed French toast. Both were fantastic, there was plenty of seating and service was very friendly and helpful. I plan to go back to try more of their menu options! Highly recommend for a casual Saturday brunch experience.

Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen is quickly becoming our favorite spot for breakfast in Charlotte! We stopped in for our third visit this morning, I had the Latin TBD and it was delicious - LOVED the sauce on top (I’m slowly working my way through the menu) and my boyfriend got the breakfast tacos which have always been a favorite. Next time when we go with friends we plan to get the breakfast tacos plus an extra so we can all have a ‘breakfast taco’ appetizer. Staff is always super friendly and look like they love working there! Great place to go with friends, lots of places to sit and space to move around if you have young ones! Already planning my next menu pick...

My wife and I did the Latin Street Food cooking class with a few of our friends and it was a great experience. It was like having a big dinner party, only with much better food and without any of the cleaning up. Alyssa and the rest of the staff were very helpful and patient with our questions about ingredients and techniques.

I attended a Healthy Southern Cuisine class at Chef Alyssas Kitchen. It was a great time. Alyssa does an excellent job breaking down the cooking tasks for all skill levels. The class is run very smoothly and you are always engaged in activity. The food turned out delicious, and I will definitely be trying the recipes out at home again. Id highly recommend for anyone interested in enhancing their cooking skills or just looking for a fun night out with friends.

The first thing youll notice taking a class with Chef Alyssa is that she is the real deal. Shes an expert cook, genuinely kind and incredibly talented at sharing her skills with you. No matter how many students in the class, Alyssa makes you feel comfortable working with the recipes and will have you leaving the class with a full stomach and legit cooking chops. Go for the classes, stay for the incredible team of Alyssa and Andrew that make them so fun.

Corporate outing held with Chef Alyssas Kitchen. It was a great experience and the accommodations for a group of 30-35 people was perfect. Great team building with a lot of high energy. The format of the experience was great - prepared an appetizer, a main dish, and a dessert all while eating some small dishes that they had prepared for the group (separate from what you prepare). I can definitely recommend a large size group and could only assume that an experience with a partner or a small group would be just as fun.

The whole experience was great. Chef Alyssa was very knowledgeable and I loved how all the ingredients we used were local. The open air feel of the market created a unique atmosphere. I took the class with my mom but there were couples, friends and co-workers in attendance. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun hands-on cooking experience paired with amazing food!

We had an awesome work outing at Chef Alyssas Kitchen. I am pretty amateur when it comes to the kitchen but in groups of 5 -6 we were able to come up with some really creative dishes. It was great to have culinary students on hand to bounce ideas off of as well. It was a very fun team building experience.

I have been to many cooking classes before, but never one with all of the special touches that Chef Alyssas Kitchen has! It is a truly special and unique experience. I did a class by myself the first time just to try it out, but I will definitely be back to bring friends and family! You are encouraged to do everything yourself, so you really have the opportunity to learn the skills in cooking the dish. Thats not to say there wasnt excellent instruction- it couldnt have been better! Chef Alyssa was wonderful, patient, helped you understand the necessary actions step by step, and even showed you where you can have a little artistic flair to make it your own! It wasnt high pressure, but was a relaxed, hands on, truly enjoyable experience, no matter what your skill level is. It was a really special touch to all sit down family style, and enjoy the meal we all worked together to create. Excellent experience- if you are thinking twice- just go for it- you wont be disappointed!

My husband and I attended the Dressed Up Game Day Favorites Class on 9/18. We originally were going to attend in February, but Andrew and Alyssa were great to work with, as our first class was cancelled due to snow! What an awesome date! The venue is terrific, ingredients and tools were top notch and we enjoyed meeting our cooking team.We have already made a few of the recipes (one a few times!) and learned good techniques and local purveyors we can shop.Definitely a great date, girls night or even team building. Grab a bottle of wine and prepare to cook a great meal!

Absolutely AMAZING food, service and atmosphere! After following Chef Alyssa on IG, I had to visit for Saturday morning brunch. The Pancake Tacos (filled with scrambled eggs and thick cut bacon) were delicious. They had classic mimosas and a Raspberry Sorbet mimosa. Both were very tasty. Shrimp & Grits have been added to my wishlist for my next visit. Brunch is available on Saturdays from 9AM - 2PM. The kitchen offers adult and kids cooking class and features family style table seating, smaller tables and outdoor seating. A must try!

Ive taken dozens of cooking classes at Johnson & Wales, Cordon Bleu, and other schools, and the 2 classes I’ve taken at Chef Alyssas rank in the top 10%. I’ll be back. Classes are rated as Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced - so you can join students with similar skill levels to master recipes that provide an appropriate level of challenge. Four people to a table – without the crowding I’ve experienced at other schools. Menus deliver great flavor without resorting to exotic ingredients - meaning these are recipes you can easily make at home. I recreated the butternut squash stuffed pork roast for friends and it has become my most requested dish. Most cooking schools have you prepare one recipe from start to finish, then start the second recipe, then the third, etc. Her classes work on all menu items simultaneously - like you would actually do for a dinner party. She and her assistants demonstrate key steps and techniques, then she and her assistants answer questions and provide coaching throughout the evening. The kitchen is modern (e.g., induction cook tops) and well equipped. The pace is fast, but not hectic, such that you see your finished dish, not the instructors demo dish. At the end of class, you sit a real table to enjoy the meal (versus standing around the food prep table at other schools). Bring a bottle of wine to enhance the dining experience.

Decided to take a class with Chef Alyssa during a birthday trip to Charlotte. We had the Mediterranean meal with stuffed grape leaves, sea bass, and rose water pavlova with berries. Im normally a very picky person, so I came in with worries that I would not enjoy the food as much as the experience. I was seriously wrong. The class was so much fun! I cleared my plate and had one of the best desserts I have ever tasted. I will absolutely take another class if I stay a weekend in Charlotte again. I highly recommend this!
