I enjoyed participating in Nate Novgrods Practical Cupping and Gua Sha continuing ed class at NCSAB last weekend. The school environment is very professional and had plenty of room for the class of 15 students. The staff and liason were very courteous and helpful. We always have a good experience with continuing ed classes here. Seems like their student clinic stays very busy as well.I highly recommend this facility for therapeutic massage with highly trained professionals.

What a joy to have experienced the highest level of professional instruction by extremely knowledgeable and talented lecturers - each truly passionate about their field and going the extra mile to transfer their knowledge and skill to their students successfully. It doesn’t matter which level you are in this field when you enter, you will have grown and improved leaps and bounds by the time you are done. The personnel is made up of a group of very kind people with good character fabric that keeps a balance between professionalism while still maintaining a very personal and human touch in their interaction with their students, -school system and protocols. They have my respect as professionals while I still feel I’ve gained friendships independent of this for life.Very highly recommended for beginner students to even the highly skilled professionals in parallel / complimentary & overlapping fields.CornelD MCMT. My background & interest have always been in helping people - only this time through massage therapy. I’m a practitioner of modalities like Integrative, Oncology, Myofascial Release, Lymphatics etc. I’ve to say that the skills I learned at NCSAB have changed the way I interpret the body by combining medical/clinical bodywork skills that they teach with my Eastern point of view & orientation. I personally feel it has elevated my practice in that I have a unique perspective to offer. The support you receive from the instructors continues long after you graduate. And so I thank NCSAB & if anyone is interested in learning serious bodywork , this is the school for you.

This school will always have my heart. Clay and David were the very first to encourage me to pursue a new career path. Once Id committed to the program, I was so nervous - but that was over by the end of day 1. So much love and encouragement from all the staff - you leave class every day feeling like you have SO much information...but also SO much support. The school ends up feeling like home because you not only gain an incredible education, you discover much about yourself and the many different populations youll be treating as a therapist. I cant recommend this program enough to anyone whos interested in helping improve others quality of life through the power of touch! Go! Sit in on a class - it might just change your whole life! πŸ’™

The quality of training at this school is excellent and cutting edge. The Clinical training is incredibly important if you want to be a massage therapist who is effective and sought after by clients and employers alike. You will graduate this school with a definite edge over many therapists in the field. It would be a waste of money and time to not attend this school! You will get what many people spend thousands of dollars on continued education for from the clinical training included in the program here. David Phillips is an absolute brilliant teacher and you will be lucky to learn with him. I highly recommend!

This school is the coolest. Ive been interested in the bodywork / massage industry for some time and have done some research, but this school was the one to make me move from New Jersey to North Carolina on my own. Right from the start, I knew I made the right choice. The staff is so welcoming and eager to share their knowledge about the practice and industry. For anyone else interested in seriously considering massage / bodywork therapy, this school is absolutely lit. In only 6 months, I feel like - no, no, no - I DID learn way more than the 4 years Ive died in college. Even with the dense materials, David goes through it multiple times to make sure its clear and will put the ideas in practice with demos and examples, and Eric teaches with humor to make you ugly-cry-laugh to keep information engaging and entertaining so youll definitely remember more than the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. For people who are genuinely thinking of relearning, pursuing, or even brushing up on the wonders of bodywork, NCSAB is an absolute must.Edit:// also super shout out to the first person ever to talk to me about massage therapy: Kim! Without her encouraging me and telling me that I can accomplish my goals, I might have sulked away back home.Clays cool too, I guess. Hes only the brightest and nicest person to greet each visitor to ever walk in and totally uses all his resources to help any student with their progresses both in and out of class.

The massage school that trains the most competent clinical therapists in the field. I have 2 of them working in my office and feel confident that they know their anatomy and that my patients are given therapeutic treatments that accelerate recovery significantly. I have experienced the difference in the quality of training between therapists that graduate from this school versus other massage schools over and over again. Dont waste your time or money going anywhere else.

This school is one of the best things I did for myself. Its more than a career, massage therapy has taught me a new way of taking care of my health. All members of the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And they work with your schedule, so you can take day or night classes, fulltime or parttime. I even had to take some time off due to personal reasons but I came back to class with a renewed love for this career field. Graduation was bittersweet because I did not want my time here to end.

NCSAB went above and beyond my expectations! Not only did I learn the required Swedish massage and other modalities, I got to have a lot of hands on time with Advanced Bodywork. Let me tell you what... this work changes lives! Ive seen it and felt it! You get to learn all of the muscles group by group (where their origins and insertions are) and how they affect the entire body when tightened or overstretched. Then, you get to learn how to treat each muscle with a specific technique. The one on one time with the teachers is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this school if you want to become one of the greatest massage therapists in the world! :)

NCSAB is a top notch school, with an excellent curriculum. The phenomenal work that Kyle Wright has developed with the help of David Scott Lynns edge work, gave me a very advanced knowledge of the parasympathetic nervous system and how it can be used as a facilitator of massage. I was also given some excellent methods to help assess our clients pain and sound methods for treatment. After working with other massage therapists in practice sessions it became clear to me that I was given a very solid foundation with to build a practice on.

Wonderful school and staff. The teachers really take the time to work with your style of learning and figure out the best approach to lead you to a better understanding of the material. Kimberly is more than helpful to the students. Graduating from NCSAB will absolutely put you ahead of the curve in the Massage and Bodywork Industry. After having been a practing LMBT for over a year, I can certainly attest that clients are amazed at what we can do! Even if you walked away taking only a third of the knowledge with you, the basic fundamentals that are taught here alone, will place you a step above many long-time therapists. It’s simply because you gain such a well-rounded understanding of the human body, and the power of touch. 10/10 would recommend!

The North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork is a world class institution where students are given the tools to become a specialist in soft tissue pain. I was searching for a career that would excite, challenge, and inspire me. Admittedly, I was nervous to take the leap. We all desire to have work to be proud of and passionate about and, of course, make a comfortable living. The first week of class dispelled any doubt and I was convinced Id found what I was looking for. After graduating from NCSAB and working as a clinical bodywork therapist, I can truly say it has been a blessing and the best secular decision Ive ever made. Kyle Wright and his staff are so knowledgeable and totally invested in their students success. I cannot say enough good things about this school and will be forever grateful to Kyle, Kimberly, and NCSAB. You owe it to yourself to check it out!

When I walked into NCSAB, I wasnt too sure what I was going to expect. I always knew massage was good for you, but I didnt understand why or how. I was told that I could treat chronic pain with massage, but other schools just didnt seem to be the right fit. Within the first five minutes of meeting Kimberly, I knew that it was the school for me. NCSAB taught me so much about the human body, how to treat muscles and chronic pain without brutalizing a client, and so much about myself. You will learn a lot of at this school and at times, it seems overwhelming, but the staff is so helpful and you will find yourself on an amazing career path. After graduating, I am now working with the exact population I wanted to: people who want an alternative to pain, that doesnt involve the use of narcotics, athletes, and every day people who want to live a healthier lifestyle.

When I was walking in to NCSAB for the first time I expected it to be another step in life, another height to reach. I am a graduate now and I am grateful to the universe for showing me the road to NCSAB. It was a journey that I wish for everybody to take. Those six moths were rich of new understandings with dozens of different inspiring studies that I am sure will keep me up at nights with books. But the most important, NCSAB helped me to become a Massage Therapist which I wanted to become. Of course there is plenty of studying ahead, but I am looking forward to it.

I first heard about Kyles work when people I knew went to him for bodywork to get out of pain issues they had. They were so impressed and freed from pain, that I decided to take one of Kyles Continuing Education courses (Im a Massage Therapist).I was SO blown away from what I learned in that one course. I signed up for another and another, and then I decided I just had to know everything this man could teach. I signed up for his 6 month course on bodywork that coincides with the massage school. My business has never been the same since. Not only has my knowledge of muscles and their physiology sharpened, but when people come in to see me because theyre in pain, I know how to truly help them instead of just massage over the painful area. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than to be able to see the relief in a clients eyes when they get off the table and feel better. Since learning bodywork from Kyle, my percentage of return clients has increased dramatically and I get more referrals as well! Many times I see people who have been to numerous therapists and/or Dr.s with no improvement, and after one session of bodywork, they feel a sense of relief. If youre looking for a good massage school, you must check out North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, studying with Kyle at NCSAB helped me to hone my soft tissues skills and take them to another level. I now have something beyond my general soft tissue training in graduate school to help my patients that have soft tissues injuries, including strains, sprains, and inflammation. I know the pain referral patterns, as described by Janet Travell & David Simons, and the different ways that certain injuries and disruptions may present themselves in the clinic and in every day life. I also know ways to sink deeply into muscle and fascia without overstimulating a patient, or causing too much pain. If youre considering a career in massage therapy, but want to help your clients do more than just relax, look no further than NCSAB. This school will go beyond the basics and provide you with an edge that will help your career just as much as it will help your clients.
