The Fungal Foray was absolutely brilliant. Fungal Punk Dave really knew his stuff and was so passionate about nature, made for a really interesting couple of hours. Finished off with a delicious mushroom soup and mushroom risotto back at the school, was a wonderful morning!

Attended as part of a team building event through work. Thoroughly enjoyable very full day.

This was an excellent experience and what a fantastic and modest person Michelin star chef Brian Mellor was. A very clever teacher and I have learnt a huge amount about preparing 4 first class fish dishes. I will be returning to Harthill cookery school indefinitely!

I picked up a course at Harthill Cookery School after the purchase of a BBQ, and wanted to improve my skills. As a result I spend a thoroughly enjoyable Friday evening in the company of Brian and Mary, and 4 other grillers. We had a small group, which meant bags of 1-2-1 contact and opportunity to participate. The recipes opened my eyes to new preparation and cooking techniques, and gave me enough tips and inspiration to last a whole cooking season.The course was part of the Weber portfolio of courses, and showcased their kit (meaning that I ended up ordering more stuff so that I could repeat my experiences). The sweet pizza cooked on a BBQ was an absolute revelation to me - wow !All in all, this was a great evening, hosted by a very personable individual who took time to build a relationship with us all. The environment (an old school) was charming with fantastic views all around the Cheshire plain and Peckforton Hill.I will definitely return ... but perhaps book into a nearby B&B so that I can enjoy Brians more liquid hospitality too.
