This school is fine. All the negative reviews are teens that feel they are entitled to have their every need met by every teacher. The same students that feel like the staff was unhelpful are probably the same students who crowd the hallways themselves, wont shut up when told to quiet down, and talk back to staff when theyre asked to put their headphones away. The AC is fine as of writing, and both campuses are even said to be chilly by some, and this is easily handled because of the relaxed dress code that allows long sleeves and even personal sweaters. I transferred here just this year and my grades are as good as theyve ever been. The teachers, or at least all the teachers I have, are helpful, supportive, nice, and are generally good at holding the attention of the class.

I was enrolled at Thomas Dale for five years (2009 - 2014), and during my time at the school, Ive had nothing but fond memories. The work was difficult but the vast majority of my teachers always helped me or at least tried to even if I didnt take the advice. Ive made a lot of friends throughout the years and even though some have moved on, we dont have any regrets or resentment towards each other. If it wasnt for my freshman years core class placement of the school, I would never have met my best friend, Chris. Ive never been in trouble with the administration since the rules are easy to follow. And to those who disagree, youre just rebellious. I mean, its not difficult to avoid wearing tank-tops or short shorts. There are, however, a few unnecessary rules such as electronic devices not being allowed in the hallways but on the most part, theyre pretty simple stuff. On another note, the theatre department is amazing. The students and teachers are professional and laid-back. When something needs to get done, it gets done correctly... but have some fun doing it. If youre considering enrolling your child into Thomas Dale, do it. And if your child is shy, have them take theatre for freshman year. It opened me up to a lot of interests I other would never have had. I love this school and I am very glad I went here.

Graduated in 2013. Most staff were helpful and eager to teach but failed to control behavior of student body. Technology is outdated and some teachers had very low work ethic.

Great teachers, location is convenient.... But, lets be honest, the entire school needs thinned out. The school has a humongous issue with overcrowding. New high school in desperate need in this district.

I hate this school, makes very depressed I hate going in the mornings. I dread school because of this horrible horrible school. I wish it was never found or existed. Everyone at school is the worst and makes my day so much worse not to mention half the teachers just make me want to run into the street. Worse school ever.

This is literally the worst high school in chesterfield county. Theres no A/C, I mean prison cells have A/C. Also this school is a complete joke. Dont go to Thomas Dale. Youll regret it.
