I have been going here for a couple of years and all in all a good place. Understandably new docs have to learn so sometimes it is a struggle. Today I called to make a payment on my bill, as I do on the regular when I have a bill, and I was lucky enough to get a lecture on needing to pay my copay at the time of service. Which I understand, the insurance was a new company at the time of my service and when I asked if I had one the staff said no that I was good. So why the lecture??? Thanks UW for everyone knowing their job and NOT making me feel like a child.

My name is Jim M and I am a diabetic patient at UWFM and my diabetic issues started back in april 2020. The staff at Cheyenne regional hospital recommended UWFM. My first contact was Pamela Oiler social worker I told her my my situation and she very helpful to me, I was unemployed and no insurance. From there she put me with Dr. Eggert and Angie his nurse and as a team these 3 people quite possibly saved my life and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had to make a last minute appt because my primary care doctor was on vacation. It smells super bad in there first of all. Not very clean or up kept. I waited 15 minutes past my appointment time for them to finally call me back. My appt was scheduled for 2:20 pm and the doctor didn’t even get back to my room until after 3:20pm. I will never go back.

I definitely would not return. They were 30 minutes late getting me back, and then when I was waiting in the room for the doctor to come in, I could here employees talking about how slow it was. Very unprofessional, especially considering how long I had been waiting. Then, the resident came in and I talked to her about what was going on. One of the issues I discussed with her was my ear infection. She confirmed that I definitely had an ear infection. She went to discuss with the doctor, and he came in. He was with me for all of two minutes, didnt address my ear infection at all or one of the other concerns I was in for, and sent me to get blood work. Several of the tests he ran I had just had earlier that week, so I had to pay for them twice. Several weeks later, and no one has called with any results. So of the three issues I went in with, I got no feedback. Horrible service. Would not recommend!!Update to add: After almost 3 months I had still not received a bill from them, despite the fact that my insurance processed it over two months ago. I called to see if there was an issue, and the lady argued with me for several minutes saying that insurance had not processed yet and that I didnt understand what I was looking at (I was on my insurance account). Called insurance and sure enough, I was correct. Luckily my insurance was nice enough to send a second notification.

I love Dr. Grove at UW Family. He always addresses my concerns. I gave them 4 stars because the ladies up front could use some customer service skills. Smile, greet people nicely, etc.

I would avoid this place as much as you can not only do they have problems with refilling prescriptions that are direly needed for mental health issues thyroid issues!! If you call about a prescription or ask to talk to someone you never receivea phone call back!! I constantly have problems with my bill & they tell you that you could pay one amount one time and then the next visit they tell you you have to pay another amount!! Staff is rude and incredibly unempathetic about a persons situation and need better training!!! Find somewhere else to go if you want to save yourself a hassle!!!!

Dr. Wefel is great, and some of the other Dr.s are too. However, I have been dealing with chronic back pain for years, and so they referred me to a pain specialist. I called today to see if I could get something to help me get by until then, and I havent heard back from them. I have kids and need to be able to function for them. I dont really think they care.

I couldnt be more pleased with this group of highly skilled and genuinely empathetic professionals. I have been going there long enough that this is my third resident doctor, and he is as knowledgeable and practiced as either of the two before him. They train their people well and it shows. As a man of very limited means coming out of prison they were pretty much my only affordable pay your own way option. Neurologists are exorbitantly expensive and, honestly, not much more useful for someone with an incurable, progressive illness like M.S. They have all sorts of options they want to try out on you, at those incredibly unreasonable prices, and none of it is proven to be effective in my mind. Most, like Avonex, are mere percentage points more successful than the placebo control groups. If/when they find something with even a 30% success rate at preventing, shortening, or reducing the severity of the attacks on the nervous system by the immune system then I might consider paying hundreds of dollars a month for them.

Ran out of migraine meds yesterday. I placed three phone calls in the last two weeks to UW Healthcare and they still havent called or faxed in a refill of my prescription. The staff promptly returns my calls to tell me theyll get a doctor to sign the prescription and then do nothing.I used UW clinic because I have yet to get a GP but their lack of patient care / concern has angered me to the point that I will never return to their practice. Further, Im going to put a complaint in with my insurance carrier about their poor service.

I have had three other family doctors since I moved to Cheyenne 4 years ago. What I experienced from them was a physician who acted indifferently towards me, wait times up to and exceeding an hour, and/or a nursing staff that was rude and unresponsive. When I decided to change clinics this time, I could only imagine what I would encounter next. To my great surprise, this organization has enabled me to realize that a quality healthcare IS present in Cheyenne. I was seriously beginning to think there was just some attitude permeating through this entire citys healthcare services. The nursing staff at UW could not be more pleasant, and they follow-up like someone in sales at the verge of closing a deal. The physician I see, Dr. Behringer, is AMAZING. Someone may think that they may not get the best treatment at a residency program, but I sincerely think these people have a heck of a lot more going on than the other practices Ive been to in my 37 years of life, many of them having been with physicians who had practiced for decades. The staff at UW Family Medicine care about me. It shows. I highly recommend this institution.
