Ms. Biljana (aka B) is highly adept as an instructor. She breaks down learning to draw and paint into steps that are accomplishable and build technical and artistic skill. She assess and offers advice and homework based on the individuals skill level (technical and artistic) as well as by project. B will help artists learn to see, feel, intuit, think in concept as well as line, light/dark, mass, tone, values, chroma and hue. She can help anyone find what kind of artist they want to be as well as develop the technical skills and artistic/creative thinking and sense that makes for strong artists and exceptional art. She is also funny and fun. Students that have studied with her for even half a year progress as if they had studied for a few years.

I highly recommend the Aartwerk studio and Ms. Biljana, the art teacher.I am finishing my 3rd class at the studio and intend to keep taking them! Ive taken drawing I, drawing II, and painting I.We just had a party and student exhibition and the talent that Biljana (She goes by B) brings out of people is amazing.The classes are both serious and relaxed. She actually teaches you the fundamentals of drawing and painting fairly quickly (I would take drawing first!), then watches you work and teaches you what you need to know as you need to know it, as it naturally comes up in the process of what youre working on. The atmosphere during classes is festive. People often break open a bottle of wine and everyone is funny and supportive.Its really just a great place.

If you are looking for a creative night out, this is a place to visit. It is conveniently located, just off the L and it has available street parking. The class if fun, very informative, casual, with great music and snacks and well of course wine! Wine up my friends, everybody turns out to be a great artist with Bs skillful and knowledgeable instructions.This is definitely my new number one mamas night out spot with the girls...and maybe even a romantic night out with the hubby. Great place to take art classes! Ive improved my skills so much since I started taking classes here.

This place rocks! B owns the studio and really makes sure you feel comfortable and at home. She is professional, incredibly funny, and talented. We got painting with a canvas that she set up ahead of time for us, complete with smocks, paints, and brushes. The hours honestly flew by and the group I was with had a great time painting and hanging out with B. This studio is phenomenal for birthdays, gifts, or even a rainy Saturday night with some buds. B also teaches classes here, (drawing, still life, the necessary mechanics), and Im heavily considering signing up. Go here, you will not regret it!

My daughter attended summer camp at Aartwerk studio and she had wonderful experience. Teacher B was great, very patient with her and made sure she enjoyed every day of her summer camp. The result was more than we expected, artwork our daughter created was well beyond any expectation we had. We came back for Paint with your kid class and had so much fun. Teacher B was guiding us trough the process making sure we both get involved and have fun. Studio itself is beautiful. I highly recommend Aartwerk studio and definitely will go back.

Where to begin? So far Ive been to only one class and Im thrilled with both instructor Biljana and the whole concept of AARTWERK Studio. Environment is nice and cosy and it is BYOB place so definitely highly recomending it weather for large gatherings, fun and different date nights or just for yourself if youre in search of different way to relax-youll be amazed with your experience and fun you could have through the power of art! Love it!

Wine, fine chocolates, more wine, and a great painting instructor (Biljana) resulted in a truly romantic and amazing experience on Valentines Day. Honestly, I was shocked how well our painting turned out. If you go to the Aartwerk facebook page were the couple with the yellow crane painting. Biljana was very fun, helpful, and rescued our paintings on a couple of occasions. After the third bottle was opened, I felt like a reincarnation of Dali-working meticulously on my masterpiece, even coaching my gf as if I had been painting all my life. If you are looking for a great night out please come to the AartWerk Studio. The paintings are unique, completely doable and more importantly the atmosphere is super fun and chill. No need to dress up, but just in case you get an apron. Thanks for the great night Biljana!
