I currently attend the avenue academy. It’s a school for those who work hard...nothing is handed to you at the avenue! It’s a lot of tough love and breaking down only to build up the best!! it’s teaching me to be a great cosmetologist but more importantly how to brand myself and make an uncapped income!! ♥️🔥

I had a horrible experience at this salon. The staff and students are unorganized. There is no supervising instructor at any of the locations. The Wicker Park location was shut down due to the water not working. The other location on Chicago Ave does not have working heat. On top of all this, they did not even have the necessary supplies to style my hair. My stylist could not find shampoo, conditioner or a plastic cap for my hair. Please BEWARE!!!! Not only should this school be removed from groupon but it should be shut down by the board of health department.!!!

Terrible service and unprofessional......I have given 3 tries and yet nothing has changed.....students that are about to graduate are to professional to do end trimming and wash....the owner is never available and her assistant has nothing to really say other than can you come back later or another day.....yet these people were at the black womens expo begging for clients and students.....dont go if you will not be serviced
