This is great training for a beginning DBA. I only wish I wouldve found it sooner. Srini does a great job of explaining things well in his videos and if you need further explanation he is quick to respond. I highly recommend this if you are new to the DBA position and want to learn Linux and Oracle in depth.

I was looking for hands-on, practical MS SQL Server training but not a shotgun agenda over 3-5 days. DBA University offered such a class. Instructor was informative, gave lots of examples, and answered questions clearly. Excellent value; I would take another course.

Excellent, Excellent training. Mr Srini is one of the best instructors I have ever met. He takes his time to break down the material to his student. He is also very patient when answering questions from students. The curriculum is so detail and access to the lab serve is the best. I took my DBA training with him and with some practice I will be ready for the job market. The best part of it is that he is in the US unlike others who say they are when they arent. The importance of this is that, streaming is 100% effective. I took my first DBA training with another instructor that i finally realized was based in India and the streaming was horrible, everything was a fiasco. You will get your moneys worth at DBA University.

I attended Core DBA training online from DBA University. I really like Srini Ramineni teaching fashion which easily makes his student involve into the subject because his way of delivering topics are really impressing. This is a perfect training for a person with some IT experience and little or no Oracle exposure. It provides very useful and informative demos of activities performed by Oracle DBA. I have taken the Oracle DBA and MS SQL Server DBA classes. A wonderful learning experience! These classes are whiteboard so you get the lecture, can take notes, and then you get the lab portion via a remote desktop session.My instructor in my classes so far have been with Srini. The best part about this training, is that you dont just pay and get stranded. If you have a problem with any of it or any questions at all, Srini is always right on top of it, and responds in a timely manner. All you have to do is drop an e-mail to him. So much better than most on line classes, where there is no one available. Srini answered all my questions and always helped me when needed, which made this a wonderful experience.This training helps to instill the confidence needed and will help to prepare you for certification testing. My experience with DBA-U was a very positive one. The latest class I attended was the Big Data Offering. I am a hands-on learner, and I do not do well with just lectures. The working labs and AWS setup made this course worth every penny. Srini was/is an excellent guide through the Big Data Maze and introducing the class to the tools of the trade as well as solid fundamentals.

I recently took the Oracle DBA course taught by Srini Ramineni. I was impressed with the course and the way the material was presented. I have taken much more expensive training where the instructor simply puts the book material in a Powerpoint presentation and reads it line by line. This course is not like that. It is very interactive. All of the material is written on a white board and explained in a way that is easy to understand. This is a fantastic course and will provide you with a good, solid core set of DBA skills. I would definitely consider taking another course from DBA University.Dennis

I have taken the DBA I, Srini is an excellent teacher. What I like about him is that, he is passionate about this teaching thing. He makes sure that you understand the materials. The most notable part of this class was, Srini would bring a up a situation from real world and discuss it in the class then solve the problem. Last month I finished the Oracle DBA Training and it was a great course. Srini Ramineni has a lot of experience in the industry and he explains really well. For me this course was complementary because I have experience as an Oracle DBA and I took the official course Workshop I by Oracle University, but there are many topics where they used GUI (Enterprise Manager) however the method used in Oracle DBA Training by DBA University is different because they work with command line (sql plus) and most of the companies required these skills.

He knows what he is doing, explains it very well tooI would highly recommend him to anyone

I took the Oracle RAC ASM DG course and thoroughly enjoyed it. This was my second course with DBA University (the first being the Oracle DBA Training course), and both were well worth it.Srini is a pretty knowledgeable instructor. Not only did he explain things clearly but he related the course material to real-life situations as well.I wish such advanced topics as encryption, data masking, Virtual Private Databases, etc. had been covered. I took 2 courses (oracle DBA training and SQL training ) at DBA university. Both courses were well presented and had a good number of labs. SRINI is a great instructor and has a lot of experience. I underwent training in this DBA university and the faculty is amazing...I didnt expect this much of information to be acquired out of this training. The faculty uses white board and instant lab sessions, so you will feel like typical classroom training and since the lab sessions are completed then and there, you dont need to work hard after the session gets over. You just need to be focused and follow instruction of the faculty to become a expert DBA either in core concepts or in RAC,ASM and DG. The training is truly amazing and enhanced my knowledge multi fold.

I completed several courses with DBA University with Srini Raminini. Srini is a very knowledgeable professional instructor who delivered the classes in an easy going and interactive manner. The classes are very well documented and are up to date. The training environment is fabulous. Its like being there, but from wherever you want. I had to go on a trip to Dominican Republic during the course and could take classes online without any problems. The best setup for your station will be 2 monitors ( laptop and monitor ) and a wired connection. It will make the training very effective as you can look on the blackboard on one screen and have your lab machine on the other screen. The price is very reasonable as well. Its impossible to find Oracle classes anywhere for this price while the teaching quality is so high. I am looking forward taking a few more courses with DBAUniversity and would recommend this place to everybody who wants to upgrade their knowledge in DBA field.

I really enjoyed my Oracle SQL PL/SQL course at the DBA University. The SQL course was very detailed and the instructor was very knowledgeable and he provided a lot of additional information about Oracle some of which are not covered in the course content but very useful in my everyday work as a SQL developer. I would definitely recommend this course for anyone who wish to learn SQL, however, I feel that the PL/SQL section of the course was rushed and I wish we had more time for that.

I recently took Oracle RAC and data guard class with Michelle Malcher, It was simply a great class. Michelle is highly knowledgeable, her course material and classes were very informative. We had sufficient time to complete the lab and learnt a lot and the course was pretty hands-on. I have tried creating RAC myself in the past but was never successful, but after taking the course it helped me and makes me feel very confident. We created the RAC and data guard environments on our personal laptop which is much better, even for future reference. I would highly recommend anybody looking for a career as DBA.

I took SQL & PL/SQL developer training at DBA University. Without having any technical background & work experience I thought this course might be very difficult to pursue. But our instructor made the entire experience a cake walk. He was very patient in answering questions, clarifying doubts & let everyone take their own time to understand difficult concepts.The lab was available during weekdays & weekends for 10 hours a day. The course material provided is adequate & self explanatory. I have taken the Oracle Rac and Dataguard course with Michael Melchar. It was a great class. The lab was well designed that I can really get hand on experience for setting up the RAC environment. Without the help from Michael, I dont think I can do it myself. I have been an DBA for 20 years but I tried to learn RAC. It was very difficult until I took this class. The price is extremely pleasant compare to Oracle. I also like the schedule that we meet 2 hours a day for 4 days a week. At such, you have a chance to digest the class material.

I took the Oracle DBA course and was very impressed with the teaching method and course material. Srini is a top notch instructor. He is very detailed in explaining different scenarios, and answers questions very well. I have learnt a lot from Srinis vast knowledge and real life working experience. I just had a job interview with a senior dba, and most of the questions asked were scenarios explained in class by Srini. I completed short training course on Oracle PL/SQL from DBA university. I found DBA university to be very interesting. The lecture and training materials are well organized , the lab practice helped me very much. Overall It is the most effective way of learning Oracle PL/SQL.

I took ORACLE DBA 11GR2 class with DBA University during Jun-JUL 2014. Srini ia a awesome tutor. He is methodical and brings in lot of practical example to the board.I will not think twice to take any further course with DBAUniversity

I attended the Oracle DBA course presented by Mr. Srini Ramineni; it was well planned and presented course. Mr. Ramineni’s DBA background, experience and way of presenting with practical examples really helped to understand most of Oracle DBA concepts clearly. Initially I was hesitant about the effectiveness of the online course, access to lab servers and availability. I would like to emphasize few important aspects that I liked in this training course, Mr. Ramineni’s Oracle DBA knowledge, his patience and ability to manage audience with different level of knowledge and background, interactive white board teaching experience over traditional PowerPoint presentation, course material, lab server and instructors availability to learn and apply the concepts. I really appreciate Mr. Ramineni’s dedication for extending the course duration to cover the topics that he planned in the course.I strongly recommend this course for anyone who is interested start their career as Oracle DBA.

Michelles Oracle 12c RAC class of DBAUniversity in Chicago was truly an awesome experience for me. Im an Oracle OCA, and still found lots of new tools and techniques to try in this class. We were provided with a working VirtualBox VM (containing Oracle Linux) that eventually contained an entire functioning Oracle 12c RAC database. We covered many subjects including networking, containers, pluggable databases, high availability, ASM, rman, services, listeners, registries, failovers, healthcheck, EM, wallets and nodes. We went through the steps to create our own RAC and Data Guard systems.The class is done with Ciscos WebEx classroom software which ran well on both my Mac and PC. WebEx is great because the teacher can work on their machine, a remote lab machine, or your machine – and the whole class can view at the same time. It has a whiteboard, chat area and live video. Michelle wrote the class ebook which is easy to follow, and has lots of great exercises. It contains probably 4000 pages worth of information condensed down into a few hundred pages.Michelle as a teacher is a wonderful experience. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in things Oracle, and manages to keep the atmosphere lighthearted and fun. The idea that you could have a group of people remotely spread around the country, all with separate networks on their machines at home – with cutting-edge RAC 12c databases running on them – and keep all of this going for a month is quite a feat. Communication-wise, Michelle spent a lot of time outside of class answering my emails and helping me with my technical issues quickly and completely.Each students machines were different, and there was an array of problems that cropped up. Each time I would think to myself – okay, this is it. Michelle is going to finally crack and have a nervous breakdown. But it never happened. She always had the next thing to try, and a graceful way around anything we threw at her.I havent quite finished the Data Guard exercises yet, but since I own the VM and its on my machine -- I can do the exercises and practice anytime I like. This is my third class with DBA University and theyve all been fantastic. This is especially true when you compare the cost to other schools around the US. For the price, theres nothing comparable.The following is for Srinis PL/SQL and regular Oracle DBA training:The classes are well thought-out and well documented. The training environment is fabulous - just like being there, but from whereever you want. (However, you really need to connect via wire - not wireless, for the sound to work well). They provide machines to work on remotely - Im guessing theyre hosted via Amazon. The computer environment was perfectly prepared both times and I wasted no time on that.Srini is an excellent trainer - very patient with his students. Hes always very enthusiastic about his subjects and about getting his students to understand. Its impossible to find Oracle classes anywhere for this price. They also let you go to the first day of class and if you really dont like it, you can still back out. Its a small company, so theyre very reasonable and work hard to protect their reputation.

Ive taken two classes at DBAUniversity - both with Srini. The PL/SQL class and the Oracle DBA training. DBA Training was very hard for me but Mr. Srini was extremely helpfully. Any time I had trouble with the work, he will schedule extra time outside class time to help me get it done. Not only that but he has also helped me to prepare my resume. I am planning and prepare to take Oracle certification.The classes are well thought-out and well documented. The training environment is fabulous. The class is online but it is alive class. This was my first time to take a class online. I will definitely do it again if it is conducted by Mr. Srini. The lab work are very helpful. They provide machines to work on remotely. Mr. Srini keep on calling each student to make sure you understand want he is talking about. He can even ask questions random on anyone in class.

I can challenge that DBA University is the best when it comes to online DBA training. I completed my Oracle DBA 11g course last month and the experience was great. The virtual board, dedicated remote server, excellent Webex session provides a classroom like atmosphere. Two things that distinguish DBA University are its low price and excellent staff knowledge. I was astonished by the amount of patience and knowledge my trainer had and there is none in the class who was left behind. I gained good knowledge not only with the DB concepts but also had a chance to learn Linux and shell scripting. You can be Industry ready when the course is complete.
