My daughter attends the ballet program at Ruth Page. I am impressed by the staffs experience, some teachers danced with major ballet companies and many have 20+ years experience teaching. This is exactly what we were looking for in our search for a classical ballet school. The instructors provide excellent teaching, and corrections are given in a kind and constructive way. Students are treated like family, with love and care. My daughter enjoys her classes and teachers. We love that there is a live pianist in every class--so does she! She attended the summer intensive last year and it was a great experience for her--she met students and teachers from around the world (Spain, Mexico, Israel and Italy) It was interesting to get experience learning from different instructors. By the way, its named International Dance Experience and for good reason! It was an all-around great experience. Thank you Ruth Page!

I have been dancing at this studio for the past 4 years, and I just have to say that it is amazing. Over the years that I have studied here, the teachers at this school have flooded me with valuable corrections and tips to make my dancing better. It is a warm, and welcoming environment and I would reccommend it to anyone looking for quality training and kind people.

An excellent performance of Duke Ellingtons Sophisticated Ladies. They Tap danced, sang so divinely, and played several instruments so well, it really took us back to the good ole days of the Late, #Great and Legendary Duke.

Ruth Page’s expert ballet instructors provided my daughter with exceptional technique, strong discipline and a deep love of this art form. They also provided opportunities to train and perform around the world, delivering on their promise of an international experience. She now dances professionally with The National Ballet of Cuba. A number of prominent ballets companies count male and female Ruth Page students among their ranks, and some have risen to principal roles. Students who start here can go anywhere. Parents looking for a serious ballet school should strongly consider this outstanding institution.

The teachers are amazingly talented and SUPER dedicated to teaching, the lady who gave it one star said that Ms. Patti was horrible and that she was mean to her daughter. I had Ms. Patti as a teacher for 6 years and she taught me how to dance. She also taught me how to take criticism, do things with confidence, try to suceeed, and more. I love Ruth Page and I will dance there for as long as I can. 😍😍😍😍😍

A dance studio which has theatre performance and training studios. The building supports outside meetings.A quaint place to spend an evening of entertainment or to take a class. It is great to support small venues like Ruth Page in your neighborhood.

This is a nice little theatre in the heart of the city. Parking is rough, but Valet is good and worth price.

My daughter started taking dance classes here when she was three years old, and it was always a great experience as a parent to bring her here. She had wonderful teachers, and her classes featured live piano music, as opposed to the digital versions that are often used.Although my daughter did not continue in dance (she evolved into more of a soccer-type in her tweens), she has fond memories of her time at Ruth Page. I credit much of her discipline, confidence, and good posture to the classes she took here.We still go back for shows on occasion just because we love the school so much!

The best studio for Ballet, hands down, for children and adults. The teachers are MASTERS at what they do. One class and you will know the difference. It does not get any better, than Mrs. Patty and Ruth Page.

Not a good start to wanting to register my daughter. I called to ask about classes and pricing and the woman says, you can find that all on the internet. Im sure their website is informative, but I find it rude that she assumed I have internet access and good at navigating on the internet. She dismissed my questions, and for that, I give them one star. Customer service is important.

Horrible place. Miss Patty who teaches the little kids is too old and too miserable to teach small children. She is like a character out of some Victorian era child labor novel. My daughter, who is 7 and is wonderful and enthusiastic had been in her class until the old beast Miss Patty asked me, in front of my child and the other parents and children if there was something wrong with her. What a rediculous horrible thing to say about a child. My daughter who is smarter than the old battle ax, said well, she wont get anything for Christmas this year!. I think the people over there are nuts. Ballet may be a discipline art, but it should be tought by thoughtful people with a conscious. Not psychotic old ladies.

I took an open adult beginner ballet class. Registering and paying for class was simple and quick. The gentleman at the front desk was polite and friendly. The studio space has radiator heat and newer windows compared to the age of the building, but was a bit drafty. The sprung floors are covered with marley. This class featured a live pianist. The barres are wooden in wooden mounts; they felt a bit creaky. In class, the teacher made a point of meeting each new student before class began and adjusting placement to have each newbie surrounded by regular students. The teacher also made a point of arranging the newcomers during center work and assigning partners for cross-floor traveling steps. The class was challenging, but not difficult beyond a beginner level. It is important to have previous dance experience--positions and moves will not be explained, but they will be practiced. The center work built up gradually, with easy and harder options (ex. easy - sous-sous vs. harder - full turn in sous-sous). The cross-floor movements also advanced from basic to more involved, adding a little bit of something new each time. The teacher provided attention and correction for all students. Her manner was serious, but not severe or unkind, and she did have a few jokes to share throughout the class. The womans dressing room was rather untidy. I felt a bit like younger students were treating it like an extension of their own messy bedrooms: clothing and coats all over the floor. There are limited lockers to use, so you will want to bring your wallet/keys/valuables into the studio with you.
