My concern with McKay Elementary school is a lack of professionalism and the school environment is very negative and cold. Whenever a person feels uncomfortable or the children are being rude and disrespectful it is the responsibility of the principal and her administration to apologize for the students disrespectful behavior and ask the individual what are the behavior issues of the children? remove those children and find a positive solution. When you hear that a principal does none of the above for someone that comes to help at their school that sends a lot of red flags. I believe this principal is use to talking to people any type of way and she does not demonstrate professionalism. She comes off rude and sassy.

Special needs class needs to change... They have kids of all ages in there and my son comes home everyday with scratches saying he got into a fight at school.. hes 8... with downsyndrome... and when we brought it to a teachers attention we were told that he needed to learn to defend himself... what kinda school does that?! And based on the comment before mine, I assume it happens all the time...

All i can say is thinks to everbody... one day wen i wnt to school my teacher mz.smith told me a lot in its all starin to come to me in i beleive in ever thing she told me that y im so happy i met her love from jessica...

They need to replace the whole 4th through 7th grade staff. If theres a fight, the teachers just stand back and watch for a few minutes first so they can get a few punches or Im not dealing with that. The rules need to be more strict and enforced. Not too strict, but enough to help these kids better the future because they are our future. Some of the drug addicts and homeless people you see asking for money came from this school. The behavior of both students and staff is ridiculous. They all NEED etiquette classes. The school building itself needs remodeling as well.

This school provides good and healthy meals and allows children to bring their own meals as long as they are not filled with sugar and gluten and other things that can cause cavities in other things that are not good for ya health I attend this school myself
