I went to this school since kindergarten Im now a junior in high school. They taught us a great amount of discipline although sometimes they did call you out for stupid things. Its a really good school to try to give your child a good opportunity in life just dont let the teachers try to dictate you or your child

I am so surprised to see this school still open oh my god I was telling my wife how I grew up in Chicago in the Englewood area and that there was this school that bused many of us too this school when it opened in the 70s it was the best experience I ever had growing up going to ran down schools it wasnt affordable for my family during the trial period but while there we did stuff that opened my mind arts movie making theatre I mean you dream it they did it my love for art and classical music can all be attributed to this school I made new friends that I would have never met in my own neighborhood Englewood is known for what its known for. How I wished I could have stayed there for ever if you can parents please dont let the opportunity pass you by Im 50 now and the memories are still fresh thank you for the experience the love you showed us few that could be there it will shape your child into the best they can be wow I can go on and on but Im emotional right now wish I was a kid again we were the first when it was spanking brand new to experience the gifts they bring out of you as a kid wow wow wow

Technically Im a Disney alumni now, so I just want to say that... I really enjoyed my time at Disney. Great teachers, great students (mostly), and great floor directors. I want to thank Disney for helping me so much and getting me into my high school of choice. So, goodbye Disney, goodbye teachers, goodbye students. Ive been to this school since kindergarten and now going to 8th grade. The school really is great, we get many privileges, but something are really strict. Like the dress code saying you cant where tank tops or not having dyed hair. Some of the teachers are rude and sarcastic, but the rest are really fun, like Mr. Radcliffe in 6th grade. But I guess the school kinda has to be strict because their are almost 1,600 students and another 100 or so including staff. But over all its a pretty good school

Being an alumni, I loved going to this school. Especially being in the advanced class since about first grade, I learned so much from this school and was definitely ready for the selective enrollment high school I went to

This is a very safe, and diverse school, that has a wonderful learning environment, and great academics and athletics!

I went to this school the first year it opened it was one of the best times in my life as a child .back then they picked so many kids from each school in Chicago to go it was a privilege to be picked . It was a great experience thank you

I literally dont like our new school website you cant find anything you might have thought it was more convenient but us students cant even find our classrooms through this new website.

Ive gone to this school since preschool in the gifted program. I am now in 5th grade. I know every way in and out and where every path and stairway goes, but over the years, they started taking our privileges away. Now were not allowed to bring treats for our birthdays and the only beverage we can have is water. We barely have field trips anymore and just for $300,000 dollars-that they didnt use for anything-they changed the school start day to 7:30 am. And yet we dont get to our classrooms until 8:00. I dont think its fair that we have to be quiet when other classrooms take their tests and yet they get to scream when we take ours. Some of the teachers here are extremely mean, too. I was in one of their bus lines, and I didnt get on my bus when we passed it the first time, so when we went back he said I had to do a book report and gave me a sheet to fill out. Most of the other kids hate the gifted students because theyre accelerated and say that were stupid. ??? However, we are very up to date on technology, with around 5 computer labs, and iPads for everyone in the school. I have made some great friends here that I never want to lose, and everyone knows who I am. Sadly, I am transferring ext year, but I will never forget my experience here. When I am an adult I am sending my kids here. Funny, I know some of the people who posted reviews here.

This school has the most amazing teachers like, Ms.Antoniavich, ms.Larose, Ms.Whitfield, Ms.stumbras, Ms.Vitkus, and Ms.Herceg. Im sorry if i spelled any of these names wrong.

This school does not have the best support system.I attended this school from third to 8th grade. Only a few teachers cared at this school, my 7th grade teacher, and my 8th grade reading teacher. Besides that, teachers here will just pass you to pass you. This was a okay school i guess,but it could have been better. I also feel this school should hire teachers who are passionate for there job and not just need the job. So dont let the name Walt Disney Magnet school fool you. Its not a great school. but an okay school. You can find better for your children. Im also just saying this from my experience. I graduated with the class of 2014. Thank You!

This is a great school, however I do feel the school itself from inside and out does look a bit depressing. Its dark and looks as if it were a prison before. Real sad, when the kids at disney have lots of creativity in them. I just feel that they should be able to express that more into the school. The education is great, although some teachers maybe one or two have no idea what theye doing but other teachers, mostly those of old age, really know how to teach. Also, some rules are a bit too....crazy, like the dress code. I get some of them but others I was flabbergasted to even think that is a rule, like how students are not allowed to dye their hair any color they want. Students should be able to express themselves, there shouldnt be a rule against that. But overall, the education is great, a majority of students that graduate do get into selective high schools & IB programs

This school has a great atmosphere. the students seem to be engaging in a lot of arts and crafts projects and the teachers seem like theyre very devoted. they dont have classes but pods ... really neat idea. i volunteered in the library through chicago cares ... it was a very fulfilling experience! check out chicago cares and volunteer with them ... they have tonnes of projects for all people!

Its a great school dont get me wrong, its a really advanced school with iPads and 3d printers but some of the 8th grade teachers arent good at their job and I dont know how they even got accepted to teach at this school.

The gifted kids get more priveleges than us. Just because they are gifted . i bet half of the kids not in gifted are way smarter than the kids in gifted but we in a low class. The teachers hear cant teach, they dont careabout our grades. They are making up stupid rules and the principal is picking new teachers that cant teach at all. Since I got to 7th grade my grades are failing cuz of the teachers. I feel bad for the parents who take their kids here

Teachers dont teach us half the time and the rule not to have colored hair sucks because this teacher is making a big deal over a little piece of hair that is hidden and it is colored red going in to blue and no one said anything about it but her and students should have the right to express them selfs
