Making It Sew Fun lives up to its name!I have wanted to learn to sew for years but the thought of struggling to teach myself deterred me from moving forward with the idea.Im finishing the last level 1 lesson today and I am very impressed by Cherices class. The information is presented in an easy to understand manner and Cherice has a very patient and kind demeanor. I love the small class size as it allows everyone to get personalized attention as were working on our project.Ive already signed up for Level 2 and I highly recommend Making It Sew Fun to anyone looking to learn to sew (or improve upon their existing knowledge).

I am so excited to finally find a good sewing class. I had been searching for an entire year to find a sewing class that would teach me the skills that I need in order to become a more professional and confident seamstress. I previously attended a different sewing class last spring in the Chicago land area and I was so very disappointed because I spent a large sum of money and did not even complete or start on even a single project .I spent six whole weeks sewing on a piece of paper; cutting out strips of fabric and attempting to learn how to draft a skirt pattern with no clear instructions 😖. I have been at Making it sewfun for four weeks and I have already made a blue Jean maxi skirt and next week I will be starting sewing level two and will be learning how to assemble a skirt from a pattern and install a zipper. The teacher is very patient and passionate about the sewing class and teaches the students in a very detailed manner. This is a very positive and pleasant sewing environment for the students . I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience learning how to sew with my instructor. Mrs Taylor makes sure you understand how to complete your projects and makes it fun while doing it. Her thoroughness and patience makes it very easy to learn at any age. Being able to make your own clothing gives you a one of a kind experience that you made yourself. I recommend her classes if you are creative or just want to try something new.

This was the opportunity of a lifetime to learn how to sew! I had a few classes before, but nothing like learning at Making It Sew Fun. Cherice really helped me to hone my skills and appreciate the art and craftsmanship of sewing. Making It Sew Fun is not just about learning how to sew, it is an experience!

These sewing classes have been a blessing for my daughter. She absolutely loves them!!! It has been a joy to see her become more confident with each project. Mrs. Taylor is an excellent teacher for all ages and experience levels.

Make it sew fun studio is a great place to learn to sew. The instructor was beyond patient (she had to repeat the same thing to me like 20 times. I also like how she gives you the option to choose your own project according to whats your learning to sew that month. I just wish she had more experience with the pattern options she give because she actually had me sew the wrong pieces together. One thing I would change is I wish it was 5 classes per level instead of four, for people who really suck at sewing like me that may need extra time to complete the projects.

My husband and I are taking our second set of classes with Cherice. My husband and I both agreed after our very first class that we learned more in one class than all the other classes we’ve taken. 🤗 Cherice has a wealth of knowledge about sewing, but more importantly she knows how to share her expertise with her students. Her classes are designed to help any level sewer gain skills as they progress through her classes I’ve taken classes before and really didn’t learn much because the classes were too large and the classes did not have levels like Cherice has at Making it sewing fun. If you are thinking about taking a sewing class don’t hesitate to take her classes you will not regret it.

This is my first sewing class ever! I love the class. Cherie is so patient and personable. It’s easy to learn in her class. I will sign up for the next class.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of my sewing classes! Finishing the entire program was very rewarding. No matter your sewing level from beginner to intermediate Cherise was patient, informative, and helpful in so many ways. I definitely would recommend her classes for both children and adults.

I’m super excited still about my sewing classes at Making it sew fun! What I Iove most is the smaller class size which allows more one on one instruction. Our instructor who has been in this field for many years has great experience and shows in her teachings. I’m looking forward to every level of completion. Zippers here I come!,,,

I enrolled in an adult sewing class and on the first day I was amazed at how much I learned. Ms. Taylor is very detailed, patient and knowledgeable. I have taken other adult classes and this one truly teaches you how to sew. I’m excited and eager to continue through all the levels. Anyone who takes this class will learn how to sew!

The instructor and CEO Cherice is professional, invested and dedicated to making sure every students project is successful. She is very hands on. My daughter has taken classes here for two years and my son for a few months. Both of my kids love the classes, they are learning a useful and creative skill while also learning perseverance and experiencing the pride of creative and skillful production. In addition to her excellent sewing skills, the owner (Cherise) is an extraordinarily conscientious business owner. She is always reliable: classes start on time and stay on a regular schedule, billing is clear and easy, equipment and supplies are ready, etc. Cherise also communicates clearly and and is very caring and kind with my kids. My kids receive not only excellent instruction but also are in the presence of an excellent and supportive role model. If Cherise has an opening, grab it!
