Its such a nice place! People in there are so kind and the place is big enough for 6 or 7 comfortable strips. Now with Covid theyre taking much care with biosecurity, which is nice.

Great club. Coaches and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Feels more like family than a sports club. Veteran fencers are always willing to help.Its also a great place casual athletes. Fencing is a great work out

Amazing place for anyone from the beginner to advanced level to fence! I have fenced here since I was 11 and continue to train alongside RedStar in my collegiate career fencing at Northwestern. RedStar has been such an amazing part of my life especially due to all of the caring and friendly people and coaches.

Redstar Fencing Club has been the fencing home of our three fencers in the family - 2 saberists and 1 foilist. We have been with Redstar for now 6 years, and the club has become really a second family. Our kids have worked with all the coaches Peter, Charlie and Dexter, who are very well-accomplished fencers and are phenomenal teachers. They know how to approach the skill development at different age and skill levels, and they do it from a holistic perspective, taking both body and mind into consideration. The club is managed so professionally by JG Habala, who herself is also an accomplished fencer. She seems to always find answers to practically anything that the fencers or fencing parents need to pursue success in the fencing world, including support within the club and at tournaments. During the pandemic, this club’s strength really showed through – there was barely any skipped beat as the club quickly adapted to the unforeseen circumstance by shifting to virtual lessons followed by outdoor lessons, before eventually resuming indoor lessons, all done in safe ways. I cannot say enough about how Redstar has nurtured our three fencers to become better fencers and better persons - the fencers are treated as family. We love Redstar!

I booked a private fencing lesson with my husband for my birthday, and it was amazing! The club has very strict covid sanitation protocols, so I felt very safe the entire time! Our instructor created an amazing itinerary that included an overview of the sport, a warmup, fencing footwork, and finally a fencing dual with my husband. Our instructor also took many photos of the experience on a professional grade camera, and uploaded them to a google drive for us, so I didn’t have to worry about capturing the moment on my cell phone, and I could simply enjoy the experience. For anyone who is interested in trialing fencing and looking for a fun, private, special experience to remember, I highly recommend booking a private lesson with RedStar Fencing Club!

This fencing club is absolutely outstanding. The instruction is on point and the communication has been a breeze. Zoom lessons are always on time and SO well organized. We came from a different type of instruction, where my daughter didn’t acquire any strong foundational skills after a decent amount of time learning.My daughter is now 8 and she adores her instructor Seden. She also loves the fitness zoom class on Wednesdays! When it was time for her to finally order her own equipment (something she had to earn by meeting certain requirements) the club made sure everything was properly ordered/fitted and the process was seamless. It was affordable!We feel very nurtured and cared for at Red Star. This club is a fantastic place to learn properly and efficiently...and it is SO fun! It is a shlep from the North Shore but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.Amazing!!!
