Our pilot Jake was fantastic. Made our first helicopter ride a great experience!

Call few times asking about some information about a commercial license. Always get the same answer someone will call you back soon and never get any call back. I have been flying for a while and non of the flight school had a customer service this bad.

We had such an amazing flight with the best pilot! Jake from rotor zen was the perfect combination of professional and funny. He made us feel so comfortable on our first helicopter ride. I would highly recommend flying with Jake from Rotor Zen!

We couldnt fly out. It was a month ago and still I havent been able to get a refund. Ive sent a total of 6 emails and called about 9 times. I always get the same answer: someone will be in contact. And apparently the only customer service they offer is help with reservations, after that, the people on the phone can do absolutely nothing to help you.

Amazing experience! Very easy to schedule and great customer service. They were flexible when I wanted to reschedule to a later time to surprise my husband. My husband and I had an awesome time in the helicopters and in seeing the facility.

This was so amazing. I decided to do this as a birthday bucket list event with one of my long times friends for my 55th Birthday. Bryan the helicopter driver was the bomb. Great experience.

Purchased through Groupon 12/24/19 for a Christmas gift to my partner before relocating to the west coast. Repeated cancellations spanning several months due to weather were understandable though frustrating. Three months of emails and phone calls have resulted in no refund and no response from Roto Zen. Very disappointed to not have experienced the helicopter tour of Chicago with my partner and even more upset with the non-refund.

You pay all this money for a certain time even though the times short it was still shorter than the time expected. We were up in the air for 7 -8 minutes .. it was a great experience but I just would like what I paid for. I know it sounds petty complaining over a few minutes but that’s technically over 20% of the trip missed out

My girlfriend worked with the staff at Rotor Zen to arrange a surprise flight for our anniversary. Jake and the rest of the staff were amazing at not only being flexible and keeping it a secret, but also adjusting the date when weather was a challenge. The actual flight was amazing! Jake is both an interactive and engaging guide as well as a smooth and confident pilot. I am a former military pilot and getting back into the air was an amazing experience especially over my home town. I have taken several different helicopter tours and attended three different flight schools and Rotor Zen is truly exceptional. I would highly recommend Rotor Zen for a person looking for their first aviation experience or a seasoned pilot looking for practice and knowledge. It will be both challenging and enjoyable and well worth your time and money.

Amazing experience! I scheduled a 30 minute tour for myself, my son, and his friend. Ryan and John were great and very professional. We were lucky that it was such a beautiful day for flying. John took us by all the great landmarks and did some circling to give my son some amazing views of the city! This flight is all my son and his friend can talk about since, and were already planning on when well do it again. Thanks for a great time!!

This company is absolutely garbage. I spent 4 hours of my time (2 hours there and 2 hours back) to take a helicopter ride with my Girlfriend for her birthday. We arrived accordingly and on time, yet no one was there. I’ve called several times for a refund, yet no one has returned my calls or requests. I have to charge back with my bank and get a new card because of this unprofessional company. Please save your money. Book it with someone else.

I was highly disappointed that I paid $179 for: a flight that started 45 minutes past schedule, the headset did not work to talk with pilot. 2 other passengers who new the ground crew guy received a discount or possibly paid zero and got the better seat/view. I had to look across 2 people to see anything which wasnt very much. Trying to take pictures was impossible unless I wanted a picture of the guys hand taking a picture. After landing and explaining my disappointment the response was: Really? They usually make left hand turns. Yeah... right...unless you know somebody who works there. I recommend a helicopter ride, just not with Zen or maybe on a day when all are treated equally and get what they pay for.9-21-15 A few hours after my original post I was contacted by Rotor Zen and generously offered a make-up flight. What a difference a week makes! The experience was all and more that I had hoped for. The tour and views of the city were absolutely spectacular! My sincere appreciation to all at Rotor Zen for a great flight and for turning my initial disappointment to pure Zen! Thank you for going above and beyond!!

Jake from Rotor Zen was our helicopter pilot. Everything he did was absolutely perfect from tour guide info to making everyone feel safe, etc. I proposed to my fiance right before boarding the helicopter and Jake was very accommodating to help make sure it went perfect.

Flight originally was canceled on short notice. Re-scheduled after a number of attempts to get in contact with the company. Actual flight was great, except that the 30-minute flight was only 22 minutes.

It was so much fun! We went at night and the view was amazing!! The ride was very smooth and my parents, who initially were hesitant to go up, also ended up really enjoying the experience.

It was Amazing. This was my gf and mine first time in a helicopter. The headset creates and aweosme dynamic in the air as well. The pictures and video we captured are truly priceless!

Was the coolest thing ive done! My gf got me a flight lesson for my bday. The simulator wasnt on site and so we were able to go up for a little bit longer. I was able to fly, hover and land the aircraft! I will never forget that experience. I hope to one day get my license.

While the company did contact me to schedule minutes after I booked, the night we were scheduled they didnt tell us they were running 2 hours behind. Ruined the surprise for my husband. At first they said they were just 30 mins behind, although that was clearly a terrible estimate based on the number of people waiting. I asked the guy working at the desk why they didnt just call us to tell us there was a delay and he just played dumb saying it was a different company?! Would have been fine if they just communicated the delay. Surprise lets wait for 2 hours! Maybe if you book directly with Veliport instead of Rotozen they contact you.

My wife & I (Terri& Jeff) added another check to our bucketlist. Thankyou Rotor Zen Helicopters.

Have lunch for a 10min flight enjoyed. Jack - great pilot, who also explained a lot - flew us south of downtown via Chicago to Lake Michigan, where we were able to view the Navy Pier etc in the best weather. Back directly past the Sears or Willis Tower, then another dangling north past the western skyline. Conclusion: only to be recommended and worth every dollar.
