Ive been a member and student at Chicago Aerial Arts for almost two years. Despite pandemic closures, the gains Ive made in strength and flexibility are enormous. Ashley is a wonderfully patient and knowledgeable instructor. Her humor and good nature make the classes a joy, while still being a whole body work out. So glad to be a part of the aerial community that is Chicago Aerial Arts

Ive been with CAA for several years and Ive watched the space grow into one of the best aerial studios in Chicago. The instructors are extremely talented and supportive - they are dedicated to help you grow as an aerialist and respect the level you are at. The space is huge which has been great for social distancing, they offer parking, the equipment is washed and professionally rigged and they supply mats (very important!). In addition to the basics, they focus on conditioning AND theory. They always run extra workshops to cater to a variety of different trainings/skills. Highly recommend this space to everyone from beginners to professionals!

I was a little nervous to try out aerial arts but immediately felt comfortable under Ashley’s guidance. The free trial class was very helpful for me to understand exactly what I was getting myself into. I’ve only done 3 classes so far and can definitely tell I am getting stronger and more confident on the hammock. Ashley makes me feel at ease and safe while learning a complicated new skill. Monday nights classes have become a highlight of my week!

I’m current enrolled in the level 1 hammock class. This is such a fun and challenging class! Ashley makes sure you walk out of class learning something new. She’s extremely talented and anyone would be lucky to learn from her. Using the aerial hammock has given me a new sense of confidence and motivation to keep healthy and fit. It brings me such joy. Ashley is also fun! You won’t be bored in class! She is always making us laugh while still being productive. She has a performance background so she’s the perfect kind of nitpicky when it comes to pointing your toes and keeping poses looking beautiful and professional.

Ashley is such a caring and talented teacher! She has amazing skills and genuinely wants her students to learn those skills and become the best we can be! It’s a small community which is amazing because it feels like a family! I’ve had a great time coming to classes here and I learned much more than I ever thought possible!

Very disappointed with this company. The instructor Philip is amazing so sweet and kind and knowledgeable but who ever is running the program has absolutely no empathy and no accommodation skills. It’s $100 a month for 12 months of once a week lessons. That’s 1,200 a year so one would think they’d be helpful but no. On top of that they charge $20 for open gym and don’t offer makeup classes. Darling I’m sick and you’re still going to make me pay for a class that I can’t participate in and not offer a makeup. They love to throw in my face I signed a contract and it says it all which it doesn’t. I don’t recommend this place purely due to the lack of customer care and service. So disgusting but I’ll continue the classes because I signed a contract with the aerial devil !

CAA is awesome! Classes are so much fun and the instructors are amazing. They give you one on one attention, instant feedback and critiques. Highly recommend dropping in for a class no matter if you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced. Class times are flexible and definitely worth checking out.

I can not speak highly enough about my experience with Chicago Aerial Arts. I didnt know the first thing about silks when I signed up, but the staff and other students have been so incredibly kind and supportive that it truly is the highlight of my week now! The owner displays a great knowledge for each specialty and genuinely aims to teach, not just show you a few cool tricks. I am overall very impressed and would recommend that everyone give this a try at least once in their lifetime!

CAA was hands down the most affordable and most accepting way to develop and practice my aerial skill at my own pace. I feel challenged without feeling out of my element, I feel capable without getting frustrated. The instructors (in this case, owner, Ashley) has taken the time to learn what works best for my body to learn and employ those tactics when I feel overwhelmed! Can’t recommend enough!

This gym is home to some of the most inspiring, talented, and welcoming aerialists! I was a little intimidated when I started but everyone is so encouraging of your journey. I look forward to every week learning something new and having such a fun and safe time doing it. Ashley is such a wonderful, experienced instructor. She really gets you outside of your comfort zone brings a unique energy to every class. Your classes will turn into a little community and you won’t want to leave after that hour flys right by. If you’re the slightest bit hesitant on checking out the gym, do it, you won’t regret trying something new 😊

Chicago Aerial Arts rocks! The environment is very supportive yet also safe, informative, and fun. Ashleys style of teaching focuses on individual growth and development, no matter how many students are in class. Shes also a really wonderful person, so that certainly helps make a new student feel welcome! The location itself can be a little confusing, but CAAs emails describe in great detail how to access the ramp and parking area. Seriously, if you are considering trying aerial lyra or hammock, check out CAAs schedule.

Love, LOVE, LoVe this experience! Not only is it a much more enjoyable workout than at the gym, it’s an opportunity to share a fun activity with amazing people. I’ve never done anything like this before, and Ashley is so patient and talented, she makes you that much more confident as you build your skill set.I would recommend this to all my family and friends, because how often can you say “my new passion is hanging upside in the air like the Cirque du Soleil people” (or the easiest way to explain it to someone that has never heard of/ seen it.)The free trial is a great starting block, but don’t just stop there. There are a variety of classes and levels that will keep you coming back for more. With their team managing appropriate covid restrictions at the location, you forget about the crazy reality outside and get lost in the bliss of what’s in front of you with each class.

I’ve been a client for over a year. The classes are small which gives the instructors plenty of time to work with you one on one. Even in a group setting they cater each lesson to each individual’s own level without making anyone feel left behind. While other places focus more on the fitness aspect of aerial arts, Chicago Aerial Arts focuses on flows, technique, and circus training. The instructors (Ashley, Alisa, and Michelle) are all amazing and trained, talented aerialists. Every class I’ve attended has been rewarding and challenging. I have been unable to attend recently due to the current climate but I definitely look forward to returning!
