Amundsen is an outstanding public high school on the north side of Chicago. Its International Baccalaureate program, which was introduced in 1999, is well-established and very high performing. Overall, the school is safe, clean, and community-oriented.
There is no school spirit. Everyone is almost the same. Many are bad influences. (students). Some teachers are cool others, are okay but not the best.
Worst school ever!!! Mean staff, mean kids. Horrible teachers. The teachers dont care about the kids education but they just care about themselves. Would not recommend this school. Mather High School is wayyyyyyy better than amundsen. Dont send your kids here. Send your kids to Mather, you wont regret it!!!!1
Enough everyone this high school has changed. I had my best 4 years in this school I met a lot of friends and we had a great time.
I attended Amundsen High in 89-93, its a great school ! Best 4 years of learning and experiencing different cultures.
Since the new principle came to this school, this school actually got better.good job.

Its way better now compared to the administration 2 years ago
We go to swim class on the weekends with our toddler. They finally fix the pool heater. That was brutal. Thank you to whatever fat cat CPS budget meister that approved that line item.
Most of the teachers suck but there are some great ones
Ok
Old School, old and beautiful memories of that school, I loved to go out to eat that delicious hamburgers at lunch time, the parties in the auditorium with that music was great but what I liked most was to move from a saloon to another to take my claces .... what times ...
