No mail for last two weeks, with at least a few items supposed to have arrived by now. Visited PO every other day - no clue, no delivery person available. Left phone number - no calls back. Camera monitoring the street - no records of carrier. Has USPS stopped home delivery altogether?

I love Roberto Clemente, both as a teacher and as a parent. As a Spanish Teacher, Ive worked in many schools in the district, and Clemente definitely has their curricula together. Theyre continuously improving, the staff is extremely competent, dedicated and accessible and the offerings are diverse and plentiful! My 14 year old daughter has been in Whitney Young since 7th grade...but Im so impressed with Clemente and all it has to offer, as well as all its yet to become, I couldnt wait to transfer her here!

This is from the class 2016. My name is Charly S and I first entered this HS as a freshman on 2012. Clemente is not the perfect school, hence the 4 stars, but its alright. I was always good at math and was placed in two honor math classes, took AP Stats, and was enrolled into a dual honor math class ( I received college credit for taking this class). I was also in AP English, AP US history, and what ever AP classes that they had. I graduated with a 3.4 GPA. I tell you this not to brag; but to drive a point, Clemente HS is a good school.I had a real good time at JROTC. The JROTC program encourage in two things. They encourage you to be a leader and they also encourage you to pursue higher education. I owe thanks to Srg Luis for the leadership skills that he taught us. And for being the best archery instructor. I give thanks to Cheif Silver for always carring. And Srg Cunningham is pretty cool too.If your a student applying to this school, just do your best and youll be fine. I am currently a Senior at College and ready to start my career. Thanks Clemente!

I went to this high school for my freshman year, 2014. There was a major misunderstanding Only I involved (non violent) which lead them to call the standby police. whilst being searched I was told to remove my sweater for a proper search At first i denied, I being an obese and uncomfortable teenager. seconds later two dudes sandwich me grabbing my sweater as a bully grabs a kids shirt. I said loudly and calmly multiple times while being sandwiched I do not want to fight one person who i remember named casino said oh he said he wants to fight leading the standby officer ( A caucasian man with silver hair more on the stocky side) push me to the ground and stomp on my head 3 times. my ear turned red and they took me to the nearby hospital st marys, results Turned out fine I was going to be okay, As I said the reason they even took to me was for a huge misunderstanding.

Wish we could choose less than a whole star..While this may be a long review, it is an 100% legit perspective from within the school. The school has no order, majority of the staff dont care, and the J.R.O.T.C. program is a joke(Mayor Rahm Emanuel has said its one of the best in the city. Hah!)The math teachers dont even try. Junior year math class the teacher always said Just look at it. but would NEVER help. Senior year id tell the teacher I did not understand exactly what we were doing. Her response, Yes you do and walks away. She did this all the time. She spoke always of who was her favorite student. If my hand was raised while she was chatting with him, she would look at me then away. If she wasnt chatting, shed look at me and simply walk away. The exercise day(P.T.) for R.O. was weak asf(sorry for using such a term but it was. My first Sgt.(Thought they were really nice) spoke only of personal matters the entire class period. My Chief was fake. Had all senior sit through hearing what the next R.O. kids will be doing. Had us sit in on their events for hours. Then deducted a letter grade when I didnt go to the picnic where therere only hotdogs/burgers(Im a vegetarian) and he knew I had no other friends in R.O. cause they were all competing to be on staff(kids(the favorites) basically in charge of R.O. events(movies, food/snacks, small things) with no say from outsiders(not the favorites). Had us buy a gym uniform were not even required to wear just for money (not to mention charging for uniforms never given out. If youre going here, check your bill). Spanish class was just sad. The teacherS(Yes. They kept switching teachers) had no authority. The students thought it alright to disrupt class due to the fact that if the Spanish teacher kicked too many kids out, the security guards will scold the teacher in front of students. Theres this and so much more. On the plus side, the school and R.O. program appear to have money(prolly from overcharging students). However, once you join R.O., leaving is not an easy task. They will lie to the one who adjusts schedules. Though, she lies too. Another example you ask? I asked her if I could transfer out of R.O. She chuckled and said if I am able to get the Chiefs permission. So I did. Then I told her and she said no because she doesnt have time for it. I went back to her office later to attempt getting through to her and asked once more. She said I didnt get Cheifs permission so I had to go to him. He showed me an email he sent stating he doesnt mind. The next day he shows me the email again, however, this time he scrolls down. He doesnt mind. But thinks I only wish to leave so I can slack off. Also said a heavier kid is unlikely to switch to gym so he can work out.(His words) .-. We did NOTHING in his class. NOTHING.One day the principal decided she no longer liked hoodies in the middle of the school year and we can only wear the schools hoodies. Sent almost half of the entire school home that week. Told nobody why. The security didnt even know why. They pushed us to go to college, and while thats usually an awesome thing, they knew damn well that we were not prepared. I know no one from our class who claims they are doing very well. Were all stressed and in debt.Therere probably a lot of mistakes in this review.. sorry on behalf of not only myself but this school for not preparing the next in charge generation. Sorry, Guys. Were screwed. :/Also, if they try using the Weve changed. Were an IB school now! excuse, thats b.s. They implemented I.B. structure in the school when I was there and it did nothing. However, Shout out to Ms. Flanagan, Mr. Van Loon, and Ms. Sotomayor! (If they havent fired the decent teachers yet)I post this on behalf of ~Class of 2016~
