Whats up with the happy meals at this location. My kid said that they bun was crunchy on her plain cheeseburger. It wasnt tasty. Then, she wanted the toy thats pictured. Either the Disney princess or Star Wars toy wouldve been good. Instead, we first got a robot. Went back in, and got a Hello Kitty teacup. 😒 Kids need better quality.
Great location and now free parking but food was so so. The fries were hard to chew no idea why and hamburger patty was dry and a little warm like it was sitting around for awhile. I order frequently from this place and quality is okay-good all the times. Other McDonalds do better job.
Security guard is highly militarized and yells at you. It’s honestly the most entertaining place ever. Will come back tomorrow.

Looking for late night food next to my hotel. Ordered nuggets and sweet and sour sauce. Received cold nuggets and no sauce. Tried calling but number on website said phone was not setup to receive voicemails. Hence my review. Very disappointed…..
One of the biggest McDonalds Ive ever visited! It was clean and the plant wall was such a pretty touch! The service was quick and easy. I mean, dont know if there is more to say. Its just a great McDonald :)
They were fine inside the store it was more of the people outside of the store that was the issue. Not that they bothered anyone but still hanging outside of the store for what seemed like no reason was weird.

They are very consistent, so no surprise there.I just heard good things about this particular one, that maybe I had my hopes set up too high.Place was big, nice and clean.. McDonald’s has created a very unsafe atmosphere at this restaurant. I went to pick up a delivery a little after 2 AM on Sunday, September 19, 2021. There was a huge crowd outside the front doors just hanging around, people were standing inside like sardines, there was no social distancing whatsoever. I tried to pick up the order through the drive-through but McDonald’s said it’s mandatory that delivery drivers come in. I informed them that it was an unsafe atmosphere especially during Covid to come in the restaurant and I would like to get the order through the drive-through. The woman was very rude on the speaker and refused, I asked for the managers name on duty, and they refused to give that to me also.It’s truly a shame we can’t trust a major institution to run a safe business for the community. This location should be shut down until it’s deemed a safe operation.

There was a couple next to me that wanted to tip a service worker for bringing the food out so quick. The re design is amazing and the self service kiosks are the future of food service. I want to comment on how adult McDonalds is looking nowadays. These flagship locations and stores are cool to experience but I cant help but feel my childhood has grown with the store. The food demands nostalgia but the atmosphere is so modern that I wonder what kids think, I wonder what little me would think of these new stores. So sterile and modern. Not designed for kids. Makes you think.
Order was right. Wait time was ok. Thats great for McDonalds. But if you order from the machine it only takes cards if you order from the one cashier you have to pay cash. They said its like that every day. And for the kids meal you cant order a 6 PC chicken nuget kids meal from the machine. Only a 4 peice. So its messed up

One of the higher quality McDonalds in the city. Beautiful interior and the only McDonalds with a drive through in the downtown area.Do be warned though! Because this is the Fancy McDonalds the food is actually more expensive here. Its just as good as any other McDonalds though!
Always some crazy stuff going on late night here, lots of annoying drunks. Forgot my sauce and as I was leaving, the security thought it was cool to escalate a situation by aiming his gun at a homeless guy in front of a lot of people. Avoid this place late night unless its your absolute final option.
They over charged us and then had to fight with them to get it fixed which they did and I understand things happen its busy but the food was not good. You go to McDonalds for the constancy and they did not deliver. The steak bagel had no onions on it I did not order it this way, the hashbrowns here greasy and unflavored
Generally a good experience. Fast food, friendly staff, clean, and interesting architecture. A little bit of a feeling like living in the future sustainable environment. Lots of sunny seats to people watch or plug your charger in to work or play. Clean restrooms, lots of paid parking with purchase, drive thru window, easy access to on ramp expressway. Food good with a few healthy choices all priced higher than most McDonalds locations.
As usual, the drive through was open, and the burger was very Fresh. They also gave lots of ketchup with the order. Fries were also very fresh. We ordered at 2 AM and it was all good.

I would give zero if it was a option. When i arrived i let a manager know i had problems with my online order. He said i got it wait couple minutes. Proceeds to make minimum 10-15 other orders that were taken after mine. I had a chocolate shake and a pie. Still standing here 30 minutes later after they tried to hand me a runny shake that’s ticket was soaked and they just started the pie. I thought mcdonalds on linwood was bad. Never again
Always a good crew Bc its 95 outside we figured coffee sales were slow today. We requested fresh coffee and that is EXACTLY what we received...with a smile on their face! Mc Donalds has the best coffee in the city!
I go just to enjoy the scenery and where its located. Yes, they serve food... but its more of a tourist attraction.
I doubt any one here remembers-- but this used to be the Rock and Roll McDonalds back in the 1980s. This was a museum-like tribute to 50s, 60s culture and rock and roll music. There were original 50s glittery booths, original jukebox machines at each table, jukeboxes, walls covered with 50s and 60s decor, blaring 50s/60s music, and even a 58 Corvette in the corner! Some time in the 90s, they decided to tear down this awesome place and instead rebuilt this incredibly lame Mega McDonalds that now stands in its place. I went to this new one once and was extremely disappointed-- theres a few glass displays inside with some memories of the original, but it was still a huge disappointment. The original was probably my favorite restaurant in Chicago and a great way to bond with my dad, who grew up in the 50s. Why couldnt they just recreate the old one in a new building? Who knows. McDonalds also recently tore down the original, historic McDonalds in Des Plaines. Probably the same idiot made that decision as well. How these corporate guys get paid gargantuan amounts of money to make these terrible decisions, Ill never know!
Free parking is limited to like 30 mins and we waited 15 for them to take our order so we left. It was much better when it was the Rock N Roll McDonalds. I will not be back; poor customer service!!!!
Staff Is surely, clean, quiet, safe place to eat. Food is pretty good too.
One of the most beautiful McDonalds but also the most expensive. May as well be air port prices. Do yourself a favor and walk down 3 blocks to the next McDonalds. The prices alone are worth it.
It’s important to know that this McDonald’s is NOT OPEN TO PEDESTRIANS 24 HOURS.my friends and I walked from our hotel to this location at 11:57 PM. We walked up and had the door closed and locked in our face. We went to the drive thru, granted on foot, and we were told no walkins. After accepting this we started to walk away only to see another group get accepted. We turned around to have the employee immediately glare at us and then finalize locking the door.Like literally what?
Was told I had to come inside to pickup UberEats, but inside was a madhouse, there was no way to get inside to park, not worth risking parking tickets to pickup this location. I ended up rejecting all orders from here, as each time I accepted any order, was too busy here to pickup. Location seems neat inside, but not worth Covid to enter

I call this place the greatest after set party in Chicago. Its open all night and every drunk, and starving person gets a hot, and timely meal. They actually keep up with what appears to be thousands converging upon the place at once. Very professional and very clean. Its also a beautiful building. The staff is premium.
Different from the ones I have been to in Michigan. I didnt enjoy eating my meal outside with pigeons walking and flying all over. The dining room was closed due to Covid 19. Really no seating available. People were just trying to find spots. Also, I thought it was weird to have paid parking at McDonalds. Maybe thats how it is in Chicago
Fancy place, great views of the surrounding, no more second floor with all the memorabilia, pity, regular mc food, close to my work, will eat here again, but paid parking? Cant get a grip on that concept

Quick service with a freshly cooked Big Mac. They had the lobby closed down with security to prevent people from eating inside. Had to eat outside, at least the weather was nice.
McDonalds Corporation really needs to come in and make changes at this Location. The service is at best a D their is always an issue with drive thru service. Check your orders before you drive away. Its always hit or miss on rather cash only cause the the credit/debit system is down. The Homeless hanging around the restaurant tapping on your window or standing in front of your car is always just a treat.

McDonalds of America!This is the most gaudy McDonalds Ive ever seen in my life. With arches the size of my dorm room and windows 20 ft tall, this is literally a cathedral to the McDonalds legacy.I came here back when I was very little and it was a rock and roll McDonalds. The place was pretty bright and showy then, but this!Anyway, I digress. I do like the hollow loft feel of the place. I gotta say. You know, people dont come to McDonalds for intimacy. Its nice that the space is so abundant, organized and efficiently architecturally designed. This way you enjoy a quick, practical meal; in this case 2 sausage scuits and a spresso, in a setting thats very eye catching but also not too cozy.This creates a more professional and reserved feel. I walked in and felt like I was in a library or finishing school. Immediately I put my inside voice on. This may have been because it was in the early morning and every echo was magnified by the space.The service was, efficient. Not bad, not necessarily good. It seems, if you want to pay with cash this may NOT the place for you as the wait for assistance with cash was untimely. Still, who uses cash nowadays. Im simply doing a study to understand the best places for my friends and fam to go, and they use cash a lot.This McDonalds is good for anyone though. Besides the customer service. This place is just outstanding for anyone interested in seeing the forefront of fast food in action. High ceilings, hidden secret windows that only allow you a peak at whats inside, dead plants (wood) and animals (leather) everywhere; classy, and to top it all off, a clear visual of Chicagos version of the Vegas Strip.Overall, this place is like that movie Ex Machina. I went in a bit drunk and overexcited and by the time I came out I was enlightened but a bit confused. Like the film Ill have to revisit this spot and look at in with more detail. Ill be sure to return here again.Maybe youll stop in too. And if you do land that date with your robot girlfriend who has recently developed a consciousness, let me hear how ya like it in this museum of a McDonalds.
Ordered through a delivery service, they made the food fast and fresh, arrived perfect. This McDonalds has no hot mustard for your nuggets, why? Literally the best sauce. I recommend the hot & spicy mcchicken.
Expect to pay more for the slowest McDonalds drive-thru experience at this flagship location. Youre better off stopping at another location and going inside, youll save time and money. +1 star for at least maintaining taste consistency.

Beautiful new store, the sustainability of the restaurant is amazing. The design of the building is exquisite and the staff was very nice, the food was great also. Take a look around when you were there and try to spot all the different environmentally friendly designs that were incorporated into the store.

Update: This is no longer a Rock n Roll museum, just a plain big McD without the coolness ;-(For tourists with kids and people grew up in the 60s, this is a fun place to visit, this a rock and roll museum that happens to serve hamburgers. Its near the center of the city with great views and photo ops. The food is a little more expensive comparing to the average McDonalds.Start here and than head across the street and try Portillio hot dog and your tummy will thank you.

Hard time to order with someone asking for money next to the speaker. Then four different people on the speaker asking for your order several times. Again at the window. Then still started handing me the wrong order at the last window. Everything wrong with this place including the prices relative to ANY other McDonalds

New building is very modern, minimalistically clean design. Sadly the 2nd floor is gone. Very cozy open environment with a tall ceiling and I love the hanging plant wall. I think the new building is very appealing to Millennials like myself. Theres a separated McCafe with deserts behind a glass display.

No inside dining, followed by 0 signs that say that. they did not get our order correct and we had to go back and get them to fix it. the manager told us not to sit inside but yet left other people to sit in. blindly telling people off. more people sat inside and nobody told them to leave. the frozen cherry slushie tasted worse here than any other mcdonalds i have ever visited before. the building is huge, there is no reason to close the dining for a week. bad review for a bad place. i do not recommend.
This Mc Donald’s is one awesome place! Tons of seating, open glass wall concept, there has got to b 100 phone chargers built right into the tables! Self order was simple and convenient, staff brought out food in record time! What a place!!! Will be back here again in the near future! Great job MD!
I ordered 2 McChickens and 2 mcdoubles.One mcdouble I ordered with lettuce tomato and mayo, I go to open that one up and its a McChicken IN an mcdouble wrapper WITH a mcdouble grill slip!Then on the McChickens there is literally almost NO lettuce.I also ordered my chocolate chip frappe with no caramel and it came with what seems like extra! Terrible service. Will NOT visit this location again. And I wouldnt order Uber eats from this location either since you can go right back in and get it fixed!

Its nice, its pretty, its new... Really, its just a shiny new flagship McDonalds. They will serve you at your seat which is nice. It very much resembles an Apple store. I like the old McDonalds that they demolished to build this one. This one is nice for now but after the shiny and new is over, its just going to be another McDonalds. The old one had the history of McDonalds on display which was pretty cool. This one is... a glass box with solar panels.
