I enjoyed my time. I will definitely be back and sign up for the long term. Great group of people to learn and train with with. In addition, great customer service, responded back to my email the same day at night.

Coach Chris is really great. The exercises are always appropriate, he always checks that you are doing the right movements and corrects your position, he motivates and encourages you at each session. The atmosphere of the group is always super nice. I have never been a great athlete. And this is the first time that I am so diligent and that I want to surpass myself!

Chicago Mixed Martial Arts is not another run-of-the-mill gym. I feel the instructors genuinely care about your personal improvement and growth. They are very generous about their time and knowledge providing solid feedback and structure in helping you reach and maintain your desired results and goals. This is also reflected in fellow members which really makes the whole experience truly unique and making the learning and self improvement journey easier.CHICAGOMMA IS AWESOME!!! Great people!!!! Keep ROCKING!!!!Update 2021-03-18Because Chicago Mixed Martial Arts is JUST AWSOME!!!! Great instructors, extremely knowledgeable without all the extra drama. Great community of people that attend. This is a post long due. 6 years ago I moved out of Chicago but for 2 years before that I used to go here. Not only does it offer challenging workout but technique and experience as well. Sparing was my most favorite part really and everyone were friendly and showed great sportsmanship. Misho is also great and he kept encouraging me. Miss you all.

Ive been coming to this gym for over 4 months and have all great things to say about the instructors, the students, and the facilities/equipment. They have a frequent and flexible class schedule where i can train 7 times a week morning and night. Since my start, ive become more confident and knowledgeable in both brazilian jiu jitsu and muay thai kickboxing. The coaches are all great in providing direction, giving feedback, and investing in your development. Stefan is the muay thai coach i train with the most (3+ a week) and has taught me the fundamentals of muay thai through well designed drills and exercises. He studies my style when sparring and gives direct feedback on what i can do better such as a right hook block and left kick counter move. We are now moving towards advance techniques and i even feel comfortable sparring with more veteran students now. I also attend brian and everistos classes where we learn new moves and techniques. Every class has conditioning involved which is great to prepare the body for such a great sport. (Ive lost 30+lbs so far since signing up!)Coming to this i also had no idea about jiu jitsu with no prior experience. The coaches brian, luis, alexsander, and Misho all have been incredible in helping me progress. They are extremely knowledgeable and patient in teaching the sport. Cherk and patrick are other coaches who attend classes and have helped me better my form. The classes are all well planned out to learn both fundamentals and advanced techniques. One of my other favorite parts of coming to this gym are the other students. Everyone is there to learn and help each other and ive met some great people there.I highly recommend checking out both jiu jitsu and muay thai!

I had an amazing experience at Chicago MMA. I was only in Chicago for about a month and wanted to continue training. I was specifically looking for a Women’s Muay Thai class and tried a free class. It was much better than the classes that I tried at other gyms in Chicago and everyone was so welcoming. Rosie is an amazing coach and teaches more than just punches and kicks. She focuses on knees, elbows, and clinching too! I am so glad that I found Chicago MMA and definitely recommend the Ladies Muay Thai program to women that are beginning and experienced in Muay Thai!

I tried a couple other studios before settling on this one, and I can confidently say that you’d be hard pressed to find a single studio with as high a quality of both Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes. I often take the morning class with Rosie on Wednesdays. She keeps the class fun and motivating, working on fitness and form equally. As a complete novice at Muay Thai, Rosie patiently gave me individual instruction to help me get up to speed. I definitely recommend her classes to anyone new or experienced, as she tailors her coaching to those in her class while maintaining a welcoming but challenging atmosphere.I also attend the evening Muay Thai classes with Brian and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes with Misho and Aleksandar. Both are also great workouts that will teach you fundamental fighting skills. I really value how each teacher is an expert with their own approach and specialty, which makes you a more well-rounded student. My only word of caution is that the evening Muay Thai classes can get packed, so it is best to either sign up ahead of time or attend a morning or weekend class. Other than that, I highly recommend the studio to anyone looking!

The Womens Program at CMMA is amazing!! It includes 4x/wk Muay Thai classes and once a week BJJ. I was a complete beginner when I started and everyone is incredibly welcoming and friendly! The classes have both beginners and intermediate/more experienced fighters so I always feel like Im being challenged but not lost. Rosie teaches most of the Muay Thai classes, and she is an incredible coach who will really get to know you and who cares a lot about helping everyone improve their technique and getting more women involved in MMA. If youve been wanting to try Muay Thai/kickboxing/jiu-jitsu but have been too intimidated by other gyms, this program is definitely for you.
