Ive been with ILKB Bucktown for about 2 years now and Ive loved every second of it! The workouts are fun and engaging and you never get bored! The instructors are supportive and knowledgeable and you never feel judged or afraid to ask for help if you cant figure a move out. 10_10 would recommend!

Just finished my 6 week challenge here and it was an amazing workout!! I saw noticeable results in a short period of time and the staff is always very nice and encouraging! Its clear they know what theyre doing and want you to have the best experience possible in their studio. They also cater to all levels so worth coming here even if youve never kick-boxed before!

I’m on week 6 of my 6 week challenge. The entire team is so nice & patient with everyone. They really push you into going harder during classes & also give great tips on how to keep up outside of classes. The classes are expensive, but you can feel a difference in energy & stamina in your everyday life. I’ve always struggled with working out on my own, & all you have to do is show up to class & you’re already ahead. I recommend this location!

Great way to burn off the quarantine pounds. The atmosphere is amazing! The coaches are so nice and always make you feel welcomed! You always see them smiling and it just puts you in a good mood. The workouts are intense but all worth it in the end! Definitely recommend!!!!

I had such an awesome time taking classes at Ilkb-bucktown. And all of the staff there were wonderful, friendly, and had awesome energy. As for the dietary regimen and accountability support… it was a total game changer for me. I started to notice an immediate difference in my energy levels in just a few days. And had the fastest overall results in regards to weight loss.The classes were fun. I’m still maintaining some of the dietary habits I had to follow and now so is my family. And Burpees are my absolute fave!! ..SIKE!! But thanks to all the instructors who made my workouts hell😖 just kidding 😅Overall I lost 6.7 body fat and 6lbs. And don’t play patty cake with the workouts or diet changes either.. give it your best. 💯

I love kickboxing, after years of looking for a great workout. Joining challenges and paying lots of $$$ for products that won’t work, going to the gym and didn’t know what to do the next day. Couldn’t afford a personal trainer. In kickboxing you get a great workout and a trainer that’s always motivating you. I like to go in the am because I will come out with so much energy, stress free, feeling great. I love kickboxing ❤️ Thank you!

This place is great!! I really enjoy group classes because it encourages me to keep pushing myself. Its such an intense work out but you feel so great afterwards! This was my first time kickboxing, I completed the 6 week challenge and I loved every minute of it. Even when I was feeling worn out.

I just completed my 6 week challenge and it was great! The classes are fun and the instructors are all great. You are assigned an accountability coach but all of the instructors work together to answer any questions to help you reach your goal. I was able to lose 10 lbs and 6% body fat. So grateful to have found this place. It’s truly a gem.

ILKB was honestly so much more fun and rewarding than I had expected. Personally, I signed up for the exercise, and the workout NEVER got boring to me - I couldn’t name a day where I felt like class was dragging, or looked to the time thinking “I can’t wait to leave”; no, it was a great experience. With that diet (easily the most daunting part) and the consistency in the workout I could feel myself getting stronger and quicker every week. Because of the strictness of the diet I had a tough time financially, planning meals around my day, changing what I was eating, etc. But for those who really want to lose weight or shed body fat, it would likely be worth it because it works. The stretching kept me from injuries too which I was a little nervous about. Next thing I knew my pants weren’t fitting the same! As a former athlete, I recommend this to anyone who loves to hit and is up for a challenge. Cause I’ll tell you that, it was for sure a challenge!

I just finished the 6 week challenge ilkb offers and totally recommend it. I had a lot of success with the nutrition and accountability they offer, and the classes are really fun.All the coaches are really good at explaining things and I can feel huge improvements in my strength. I like the format of classes - they fly by. Ive been missing them since the challenge ended!Definitely recommend if you have the time to commit or are looking to build lean muscle.

At 42 my metabolism dropped and nothing was working so when I came across the I love kickboxing ad I figured I try it out, worse case I get to punch and kick something. I dropped @12 lbs and 6 weeks and am loving the classes, the instructors and the over all energy and positive vibes everyone brings! It is well worth the money because you will lose weight, you will feel your energy rise and like I said you get to kick and punch that bag! If you’re thinking about doing it just do it.

Im so happy I finally found a workout that fits me! From the motivating and knowledgeable coaches, to supportive fellow challengers or members, to the plethora of class time offerings, to the amazing full body workout, this gym has it all. Im on week four of the challenge, with two more weeks to go and I already feel a huge difference in my body. ILKB continues to push me and has definitely taught me so much discipline and strength I never knew I had in me.

I started at the gym back in December as a “challenger” but shortly after decided to just join the gym because I feel so in love with this place. In the mist of the pandemic it was hard to maintain being physically active for me so when I joined it was simply to be in better shape but I got so much more. The staff there are excellent and even helped me develop a meal plan to gain weight vs loose (like most challengers join to lose weight) which was awesome! Each class was just as intense as the first one and they do a good job of making sure you are using the proper technique so you don’t make mistakes and injury yourself trying new things. I just feel like they care about you, like if you don’t come to class they notice and make an effort and I appreciate it so much. I definitely recommend this place 100% for anyone considering it and even joining the challenge to see what I’m talking about to test the gym dynamic and see how great they are

Just finished my 6 week challenge at this gym! I met my goal and all I had to do was attend 3 classes / week and follow the meal plan! The staff is super kind and helpful. Also, kickboxing is just a fun form of exercise. You end up getting actually pretty good and they work with you to make sure you have proper form. Glad I did it!

No one is responding to my calls to make an appointment. They falsely advertised that their classes were 5 for $30 failing to mention that you only get 30 days to complete the classes. If you look at Yelp reviews this place is terrible. Google somehow has all positive reviews.

Just finished my 1st class and it was so much more intense than I could have expected. It’s high energy, focused on technique, and quick pace. Goes from continuous warmups, to rounds, to partner exercises. You’ll have so much fun no matter your experience. I’ve never kickboxed before and I can’t wait to come back for more classes/challenges.

This workout is intense! You will work your entire body, even your toes! The trainers are very motivating and you can workout at your own pace. 15 min warm up, 7-10 rounds of kickboxing, and a 4 min ‘burnout’ is the standard structure of a class but the workout within that structure is different every time. I feel super empowered through kickboxing, my body is getting stronger and it’s only been a couple of weeks- I think everyone should give it a try.

I personally hated group workouts and never thought I would grow to love it but this place made that happen! I have been a member for almost 4 months now and I can tell you that they are the nicest people I met in Chicago area. they are always there to teach you more and help.They encourage you to do better and challenge yourself but not to push you to an extreme were you hurt yourself which most trainers tend to do with beginners! I haven’t done the challenge with them yet but I’m thinking of doing that soon after seeing all the great results most of the challengers are achieving with them.

I completed the 6 week boot camp challenge. I started the challenge in need of shedding that Covid weight and kickstarting me back into a healthier lifestyle. I have been struggling to lose weight for the last 2 years and someone who eats relatively healthy, it was hard to find what I was doing ‘wrong’.Sticking to the program and with some minor course correcting tips from the coaches, I not only dropped 12lbs but also 7% body fat…crushing my initial 2-4% guess!If you want a serious body burn…take Leah’s morning class two days in a row! My abs and legs have never been so sore but I can finally see them again and fit in those summer shorts!

The classes were really intense but a lot of fun. Every class is different so you don’t get bored and there are different exercises and moves for beginners and advanced! I❤️kB is amazing. I’ve been trying to stick with something for years and I’ve always given up. But they teach you one on one and keep you motivated and coming back for more. There are all sizes and ethnicities in the classes but everyone is treated the same. It feels safe and friendly. I have just completed the ilkb 6 week challenge. If you’re struggling to lose the last of your weight and tone up I highly recommend the 6 week challenge at ILKB on North Avenue. I needed the incentive and accountability to reach my final goal weight and body fat loss, while having fun. The coaches are vibrant, eager to help you reach your goal, and energetic! I participated in the 6 week challenge and really liked that they had early morning classes. I also loved my coach Jose Rios. He helped me hit my goal of losing 25 pounds in 6 weeks!The manager Taylor is also AMAZING! When she teaches a class she gives 100% and is very helpful when answering questions.You do need a $500 deposit to participate in the challenge. However you are able to break that up into smaller payments. If you hit your goal, take 18 classes, do all of your social media check-ins and post your groceries once a week your, deposit is completely refundable. You also have the option of rolling your deposit into a membership.For me all of the above is worth it as I am happy with my weight loss results of losing 25 pounds! I am just waiting to have my deposit refunded.
