My daughters love their piano lessons. Ms. Hanna and Mr. Giorgi are excellent with my kids and their personalities perfectly suit each of my kids learning styles. One daughter has had a couple of substitute teachers but both of them (Ms. Summer and Ms. Janna) have been wonderful as well.

The quality of the education is amazing. My children have improved tremendously with their ability to read music and perform not only at home but also in front of an audience. The staff is always quick to respond to questions. Their successful pivot to online learning during the pandemic ensured that we could continue on the progress that had been made. I am very happy we chose Northside Music Academy for my childrens musical education. I highly recommend it!

I highly recommend Northside Music Academy. Two of my kids have been taking lessons there for the past year (piano and drums). It was really convenient to schedule their lessons at the same time, and whenever Ive needed to adjust our lesson time the office staff has made it easy to find a solution. It is a very warm and supportive atmosphere, and it is clear that everyone who works there is passionate about both music and kids. My daughter had previously studied piano with a different teacher, and her teacher at Northside Music Academy was very perceptive in identifying the strengths and weaknesses in my daughters piano skills right from the start. She listened to what my daughter was interested in learning and balanced it with what she could tell my daughter needed to work on, and the result has been a unique curriculum that has challenged and motivated my daughter.

Both of my kids started piano lessons @ NMA during the summer of 2019. They absolutely love their instructors and look forward to going to their lessons every week (which is huge as they do not feel that way about all of their activities). I strongly recommend Northside Music Academy. The school is very well organized. The administration is very friendly and helpful.The teachers are excellent-great players and are well trained to teach children. My children learn in a balanced way both note reading and technique, and enjoy it very much! The virtual lessons are well manged and very engaging.

After Almost a year and a half of piano lessons at Northside Music Academy will will sadly have to say goodbye because we are moving abroad .This was not my sons first try with an instrument so we were really nervous as to weather he will like it or not. We were paired with one of the great teachers from the academy and never looked back. My son is very sweet but gets easily distracted and frustrated . We had wonderful guidance and it became his favorite thing to do at weekends . It was very endearing to see him look forward to something after a hard week at school . He has learned so much in the past year , he even searches random pop songs online and tries to recreate them on his keyboard . The teachers have been so honest with us , because he has not always prepped properly for the task at hand and I appreciate that. The participation trophy’s our society is obsessed with creates kids that don’t want to put in the work , cause hey why not? I really liked their honesty and thoroughness. My son never liked the idea of the recitals but it was always so much fun to be amongst such young talent . Thank you Northside Academy for your care and guidance . My daughter has been going for piano lessons for almost a year now. She started at 5 years old and she loved it from the beginning. Her teacher Ms Alexandra is so patient, encouraging, and sweet with her. My daughter adores her and is always eager to learn more. Learning music has helped my daughter in so many ways. She loves it so much she practices on her own all the time.

My children have been to other music schools on the Northwest side of Chicago (Old Town, Flatts and Sharpe), and this school is the best we’ve found. Both of their teachers, Natalia (piano) and Nick (guitar), have a true passion for music and are great at inspiring that passion in our children. Their progress over the past few years is nothing short of amazing. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is serious about music. It really is a wonderful little music school led by wonderful people who take their job very seriously. Love them.

Northside Music Academy is a great school for kids and not only. My daughter takes piano lessons since 2018 and her progress is amazing. The school is very well organized with many separate rooms for private lessons. The dedication and professionalism of the the teachers makes this a perfect environment for anyone who is determined to learn an instrument. Why this school is special in my opinion is that each student gets personalized lessons based on his /her level and you get to develop yourselves and become a better musician. I love the recitals where you get to see all the students perform live in front of all parents and guests. In my book this is 5 star Music School!!

My daughter has been attending Northside Music Academy since they opened for flute lessons. The teachers and staff do an amazing job and are extremely professional. Although my daughter plays in her high school orchestra, her lessons give her the opportunity to work individually and the school ensures that all the students have plenty of opportunities to perform regardless of age or experience level. This helps build confidence and allows them the chance to show off their hard work for friends and family. We are so lucky to have a school of this caliber nearby.

We are closed to completing 2 years at Northside Music Academy. The teachers are very talented musicians. They had a great program where all teachers performed. My girls love Daniel Baers even though they are extremely shy in front of him. He is patient and made learning so much fun. Both of my girls enjoy practicing and playing on the piano. We have been working with the founder of the school for almost three years. My son is or has been taking violin, music theory and drum classes. All positive experience. Nothing to complain about. All the instructors are passionate about their jobs. The school offers lessons for a variety of musical instruments, which can fit most families’ need. Alin, the founder, is really dedicated to the school and trying his best to bring the joy of music to different families and kids.

We have been absolutely thrilled with Northside Music Academy. The caliber of their teachers far exceeded my expectations, and Alin and his staff are so kind and pleasant to work with. They worked very hard to find an evening when all three of my kids could receive their instruction at the same time so I wouldn’t have to come more than once per week. My kids can’t wait to come to their lessons and we have been impressed with the progress they have made since they started. The recitals are well organized and fun and they even had a recital for the instructors to perform for their students last year (in celebration of their two year anniversary). Once again I was blown away by the instructors and level of talent at this school. I would recommend to anyone!

Best music school on the NW side imo for both quality and affordability. I have two children taking piano and violin lessons here since 2017 and have been extremely happy with the amazing teachers and the school. Not only are the teachers all highly accomplished musicians, but they are also good and patient instructors. I feel very fortunate that the kiddos are learning from the very best. Both love their teachers and have made huge progress since starting here. School is run very efficiently and 2 recitals per year allows the students to perform for an audience and showcase their pieces. This year, they had a teachers recital that was worth everything! Instruction is offered for a wide range of instruments- absolutely not limited to just piano and violin. My 6 yr old wants to learn guitar and drums here at some point. Love this school and highly recommend if you are looking for music instructions- for yourself or your child.

Our family is on our second year of enjoying all that Northside Music Academy has to offer. Our 2.5-year-old daughter still attends Miss Heathers Saturday toddler music class and its the highlight of our familys week. Weve also attended their superb teacher showcase (my husband even took his mom and she delighted in the program).Not only are the owners always accessible at the Academy, but they are around the neighborhood, too, performing at community gatherings.Even if I didnt live a few minutes away, I would make the drive here (and its centrally located from the suburbs and city center).

About a year ago, my daughter expressed her interest in learning to play the violin. We looked at several places around our area. She did not feel the connection and the atmosphere did not seem conducive to learning until we came across Northside Music Academy. The variety of instruments and lessons offered is wonderful, and the only real question becomes which instrument do I want to learn to play? My 9 year old began piano lessons here two years ago and her progress combined with growing love for music has exceeded our expectations. Both my children, 8 and 5, are taking music classes at Northside Music Academy. My oldest is taking piano classes, and has been learning with the lovely Mrs Natalia Cernaianu for over one year. My youngest one is taking guitar classes, and he is learning quite a bit! I must brag about our experience here. My kids not only learn music, but self esteem, and also how to present themselves in front of an audience. They have periodical recitals in the same venue, the church offering a lovely, well lit and welcoming atmosphere. My oldest one used to be very shy and had a bad experience with a previous piano teacher that didnt allow him to perform in public because he was too nervous and would ruin the recital. He lost interest and self esteem for a while until we came to this great place. I highly recommend this music academy, it is modern, updated rooms, clean, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and they offer a variety of instruments, and I think even voice. I believe life is much better accompanied by music.

They have learned to be worldly pianists playing Jazz, pop and classical music. She created programs geared towards each child so they could learn their own style and pace. Noethside Academy has an top talent leader and extremely well leadship who listened to our needs and teamed us up with a great match who figured out exactly how to work with our daughter with very effective teaching methods. Based on Our experience thus far, she was able to adjust our lessons to the level of instruction that was necessary to meet our goals.
