Just wanted to share how impressed I am with Blue Bird Day! When Blue Bird along with all other Chicago schools announced they were temporarily closing due to COVID19, I found myself a bit stressed. I was happy about my son being able to stay home with me, but I worried about how long hed have to be without services. Well, I didnt have to worry long! Blue Bird Day sprung into action and had everything ready in ONE WEEK! We have been receiving virtual sessions for almost 2 months now. I cant tell you how happy I am with this new method of therapy. To be able to personally help and teach my son with the guidance of his team has been an incredible experience. Thank you Blue Bird for working so hard to make sure our children continue to receive the services they need. Id like to give a special thanks to Deans wonderful team, Ms.Taylor, Abby, Alexa, Megan and Andrea! They have given me the tools needed to be able to better help and understand my sons needs. This would not have been possible if I hadnt let these ladies into my home through virtual therapy. Not only has Dean made amazing progress these past weeks, but I feel like Ive also progressed as a parent. None of this would have been possible without them and I cant thank them enough!

I cant believe that its been almost a year since the Covic lock down, and my child has been doing e-learning for almost a year. It hasnt been an easy year for anyone, and its certainly not easy for a family has a kid with special needs. I feel very fortunate that my child attends Blue Bird Day, they reacted so-fast (was able to begin structured virtual learning within a week of the lock down!!) and they provided all the supports we need throughout the whole e-learning process. All the teachers (Ms. Amy M - OT; Ms Jillian G - BCBA; Ms Molly R. - DT; Ms. Molly S -PT; Ms. Kelly C-PT; Ms. Carolyn S - PT; Ms Grace K- SPT; Ms. Elle-G - SPT; Ms. Kiana; - yes I have to mention all of them =) they are wonderful! E-learning was new to the kids and also new to the teachers, but they tried so hard to make it work. My child has improved a lot in all areas even through the e-learning, and I have learnt so much this year from all his teachers/therapies, I cant thank them enough. I truly believe Bird Blue Day will prepare my child well for first grade in public school. Thank you!

The wonderful staff and therapists at Blue Bird have been amazing for our son! Everyone does an excellent job of communicating. Our TA Ainsley has been a godsend during this turbulent time, working closely with our son and keeping him on track during virtual therapy time.

Sending our son to Blue Bird has been the best thing we could have possibly done for his development and his future. He attended the preschool for 2.5 years and the Kindergarten program for 1 year. Now he is in a CPS full inclusion classroom for Kindergarten. He still sees Courtney, Cara, and Byron after school some days. Their care and patience with him is outstanding. All of the staff are amazing. We are sure he wouldnt be where he is today if it wasnt for his time at Blue Bird.

Blue Bird Day has been revolutionary for my child, and - perhaps just as much - for me and my wife. BBD radiates enthusiasm, positivity and possibility. On the technical/metrics side, our little lady has made so much progress in all developmental areas, youd hardly recognize her from the little girl she was 1.5 yrs ago. My daughters current crew include Sally T, Emily, Abbie G, Louisa R, Catie, Bridgette, and Elysia... all of whom are stellar people/teachers/therapists/friends. We feel so lucky to have her at BBD; we cherish every single day shes there.

I highly recommend Blue Bird Day/Eyas Landing!! My daughters 5year old goal was to compose two word sentences. Now she is a 6.5 years old reader, speaker and commentator! It is unbelievable all the progress she has made!!START INTERVENTION EARLY as well as reinforce what is worked on during the sessions with their caring, dedicated and highly professional certified therapists. It is the best investment into your childs (current&future) confidence!!My daughter loves it there!!

Bluebird day school has been an incredible experience on so many levels!!! My son Kenny literally jumps out of the car when we get there. We have been at bluebird since day one and are so grateful to be on this path with them as Kenny grows and flourishes with the guidance of his superstar team. The growth of this company and wisdom they have gathered as they grow has provided such phenomenal start options for so many kiddos. The success and confidence that is built into their program is outstanding. I am thrilled beyond to see where Kenny goes, so excited for him to start kindergarten this year. Kenny loves to learn and I never worry that hes being forced to learn in a way that doesnt work for him. I could not ask for a better place than Blue Bird Day to educate and truly explore the experiences of being a child at play. My daughter has transformed into a very happy and social little butterfly. The entire staff takes each child as if it were their own and shows their unconditional support and care for their indivudual needs. Its a very clean and child friendly space with lots of wonderful staff and teachers. From the moment you walk in and the results you see in your childs day, you will know that something magical is happening.

I am so thrilled with this school. My son was recently diagnosed with autism, and we were very uncertain what steps to take after the diagnosis. Blue Bird has the most understanding, helpful and caring staff. They set goals together with us and we see improvements every week. It is my son’s “happy place”. He just LOVES going to school and has the best time. We receive a daily progress report and often times we get some artwork too! My only regret is that I didn’t know this place existed sooner. It is a tremendous relief to have all this support.

I love Blue Bird! They have been a big blessing for my daughter and our family:) Their staff and therapists have been extremely polite, caring, understanding, and accommodating.Our daughter has made amazing progress at this school and we are excited to see all the new progress to come:)

My nephew is 3 1/2 years old and was recently diagnosed with autism. He started at Blue Bird Day just a few short months ago and has already grown and progressed significantly. We have seen a clear improvement in his communication abilities and in the way he relates to others. I am so happy we found this school and the wonderful people who work in it. Evie, Ms. Holly, Ms. Raquel, Mr. Nico, Mr. Dan, Aly, Courtney, and anyone else Ive forgotten to list (my apologies!), have made a big impact in our little boys life and for that we are extremely grateful. I highly recommend this school to anyone with a little one who needs a little extra help.

Blue Bird Day school is an amazing, caring, and dedicated school. Sending my daughter there was the best decision. The progress she made was beyond our expectations. Highly recommended. I wish they could expand to older grades.

For many years this place was like a second home. I could not have dreamed of a better place for my son, without their support he would not be the amazing person he is today. I will be forever grateful for all theyve done for us!

Bluebird is an amazing environment in which your child can develop new skills, while in a social and nurturing environment. The Bluebird team is experienced, very communicative and dedicated to the success of its students.

I cannot say enough good about Blue Bird Day, and their sister company Eyas Landing. When my daughter got her autism diagnosis, I was anxious for her to receive the best treatment I could find. I was fortunate to get her enrolled in Blue Bird Day within a couple weeks of her diagnosis. It was the best decision I could have made. I have been extremely pleased with all of her teachers, therapists, aides, and the administrative staff. Starting at the top with the owner, Laura Mraz, down through everyone who works there, you can feel that this isnt just a job they clock into everyday. They know each of these kids - their strengths and the quirks, and they love them and want them to succeed. They spent extra time talking with me about my daughters progress and daily behavior, they even came with me to my IEP meeting to help my daughter get an amazing IEP for the coming school year as she transfers to a mainstream setting. Theyre the best!

The teachers and therapists at BBD are thorough, patient and well trained. In particular, we have had an excellent team, who we continue to see at the adjacent Eyas Landing clinic, help our child transition well to public school.

I am the mom of a dual diagnosed daughter with Deafness and Autism, she does have cochlear implants so she can hear, When my daughter first started to attend Blue Bird in 2014, she could not sit down for more than a few seconds and would lay on the gym equipment and stare up at the lights, following a routine, especially without language was very difficult but over time I began to see her understand her day, I began to see things at home become easier. Her motor skills and overall physical abilities are delayed, but with Occupational and physical therapy on a daily basis she has really soared.I have the up most respect for the owner of the facility for accepting us and helping us understand our daughters needs. From the staff at the front desk, you always feel you can see a friendly face and even a ear to listen when times are trying. I absolutely love everyone on daughters team but I must send a shout out to my daughters team lead and after school OT Melody Maney, she is a angel sent to earth, when she came to work at Eyas Landing / Blue Bird a special bond was formed, My daughter has gone from laying flat on the trampoline to soaring on the trapeze holding her body straight upright by just holding the rings, she has become much better at brushing her teeth, cutting paper, and daily living skills and many more that I will not write. I love my team at Blue Bird and Eyas Landing , they are caring , understanding, they listen to the families and will do everything they can to help your child. Blue Bird Day School is simply an amazing place (same with Eyas Landing Therapeutic Clinic). When my son was close to turn 2 years old he was evaluated and needed to start EI (Early Intervention) Program and right before he turned 3 he was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. During the time in EI Program I remember being extremely scared, anxious, confused and having very bad experience with his first school and when he was about to step out of EI (kids are supposed to stop doing it at 3 years old) I started my research, trying to find a place where my son could have therapy, learn things, be happy and feel safe (and myself at ease). Well, I did. I found Blue Bird Day (and Eyas Landing) in 2015. My son started going there in the summer and ever since is being absolutely AMAZING. This place and the whole team are just THE BEST thing it could have happened to my family. They make me feel like Disney World (a place where magic can happen). They are ALWAYS wheeling to work with me to accommodate my child needs and my requests without any problem or complaints (and trust me I know I can be a big, huge giant pain in the a... but when is about my child Ill do or become anything without remorse, lucky for them 😝). They always have treated my son and myself as a priority working extremely hard to achieve my childs goals and to always get him to the next step (always moving forward). Every single person that has come to our lives from this place (and I mean everyone from the ladies at the front desk, teachers, therapist, t a, etc. would like to mention them all but they are too many 😊) has touched our lives in a beautiful way and for that I am and I always would be profoundly grateful. This is a place where theres no judgement, always with a smile, happy, safe, a big family with a huge heart where your child is loved and care for. I just simply absolutely love them (and my son does too). ❤️

An amazing place for our little girl! We have seen a huge growth in 7 short weeks! Blue Bird Day goes above any expectations, taking great care of every detail. It has been eye opening to see that there is so much heart involved in this program! I do not worry about who or how a tantrum will be addressed, we know everyone involved is ready to handle any anxiety in our little ones day. Thank you for giving us the tools we need for our everyday life. Our family as a whole benefits because we are learning everyday. All therapists and teachers are so personally involved, we have figured out how to make the morning good bye a breeze! Our little girl loves going to school she gives hugs, and high fives, says HI!Her speech is growing everyday, we know this a team effort. Thank you Blue Bird!!!!Update 08/2019 how fast 1 year has passed! I have my youngest at BBD as well now. Hes made leaps and bounds since starting in June! He is nowcommunucating ! We are at the beginning, and I am so excited to see all that is to come! He was nonverbal so all speech is welcomed. He loves going to school everyone is amazing, caring, and understanding. A wonderful place with loving, kind, caring, experienced staff. My son has ASD and I cant imagine a better place to have sent him to pre-school.
