I’m a student going into 6th grade and I think if you want to find a good school for your kid go to cal aero🥰🥰

This school is amazing! Ive been here since kinder garden and everything gets better each grade. The homework is challenging and the teachers are very helpful! Its easy to get friends as a lot of your classmates show you around the school and ask what you like to do and invite you to play sports and games. I highly recommend this school to any parents that are looking for a school for their child and all of the 1 star reviews that are on this page I can assure you and not true. Every teacher is helpful and rarely get mad at students. The teachers also have students turn in their homework. At recess it is easy to report a problem to the supervisors as there are a lot of them walking around the campus and the office is very kind. The principal is normally in their office but they are very kind and make sure that the school is well protected from bullying and lockdowns. Speaking of bullying it is rarely seen and you can assure that your child will be safe and if there is bullying well lets just say the bully walks away in one piece because the supervisors and the students (mostly the students) are going to help out the victim. I highly recommend this school for any child.

The school kinda bad💀. glad I left. i dont recommend sending your child here. its very unorganized, most teachers cant teach, they just make fun of the students to be honest.

Its a ok school, its in a good neighborhood and the school has some minor flows, but its a pretty good school over all.

The fact that it takes almost an hour to pick up your child from school is atrocious

Ive been to Cal Elementary over 6 yrs and i have absolutely no complaints. This is a wonderful school. I love all staff that makes Cal Aero, stay Cal Aero. Mrs. Webster is a fabulous teacher, you can count on her.

As a student of Cal Aero, I wouldn’t say it’s a bad place, but it does have its flaws, the food here is pretty good, some might disagree, but of course that depends on the persons taste. Some teachers here are pretty nice and care about how you feel, some just want their paycheck and go; The clubs are nice and really give some freedom at lunch, the phone and toy policy is very strict but the school does it so that they don’t have to go through many complaints from parents that have had their child lose a toy, but then again they could just enforce the rule that “anything lost or stolen in the campus is not our responsibility”. Overall, I say the school is a bit strict but great when it comes to everything else.

Hello everyone. I currently attend the school of Cal Aero, and I can assure you it is not as bad as all of the other reviews say. Most reviews are left by currently attending/attendees of the school who were just angry for something that is completely justified (meaning they were proved wrong or angry for something for no reason) or out of immaturity. Cal Aero Preserve Academy is a great school to go to. The teachers are honest and try their bests to raise each and every student and help them thrive in all subjects. They will constantly notify you (especially in Junior High) about any upcoming tests, review material with you, and hand out study guides and set due dates so youre able to study them. Theyre all outgoing and have amazing personalities and can help you with personal issues you are dealing with, and even provide advice! The staff is also extremely respectable and treats all people who visit the office equally. Theyre friendly to all that enter and ask what you need. People talk about how they can be rude, but everyone should keep in mind that they are enrolling new students, sending kids home and up to the office due to a variety of reasons, etc. Their jobs are very stressful, and I think everyone should be more kind to them, and they will most likely give it back in return. Overall, this is a great school. Sure, some rules can be changed and/or altered, but other than that, I would definitely send my child here.

This school has failed to prepare my son for middle school.He attended 1st through 4. Every year we made sure homework was complete and he knew the material at home. But at school none of his teachers held him accountable for turning it in. Now that he is in a reputable school and he is SHOCKED that homework and class work gets turned in.At cal aero, we spent 4 years trying to avoid certain students in his grade because they were systematically bullying my son. Neither the school or the teachers stayed involved. If it weren’t for the after-school/city employees it would never have gotten better.Third and fourth grade were ridiculous. Thursday’s are “catch up” days. To students who turn in stuff on time (or just don’t care to turn in work) Thursdays are just free days to do anything they want.The office really is worse than the teachers that we’ve had. One time they lost my son’s emergency card and were convinced they couldn’t release him to his dad for a dentist appointment. They are hardly welcoming to parents and very outwardly irritated by students.I really hope this school gets better but with it being so impacted and the revolving door on administration, good luck.

This school is horibble. the bathrooms have food on the floor and bugs. it also smells like pee. the water fountians dont have good water. its basically poo water. they dont clean it

I currently go to this school, and just TODAY, I got called up to the office to fill out something I ALREADY TURNED IN. I KNOW I TURNED IT IN. And the office said to just do it because they don’t have it. That’s their fault for losing it, not mine. They need to be much more efficient than they are now. I feel like this school has gone down because of the staff, yes I do believe that the students have brought it down as well. That’s all for now, I’m just very upset at the office staff

As a previous student, the teachers are super nice but the staff arent really.

I know people are saying the dress code is too strict and that the staff is rude if you get to know them they are really not. There may be some really strict teachers, but there are also really nice ones too! I kind of have to agree a bit on the dress code. Its really confusing to me, but you can wear a short skirt without getting in trouble as long as its not a really short skirt. The school isnt perfect and yes most of 5th grade is crazy, but in my objective opinion its great!

My child did not like this school. He complained they ate with bugs, mostly flies everyday. But that was the easy part of my sons day. He only attended this school a short time. The 4th grade teacher Mr. Cordero, the greatest teacher ever I was told, made my son feel less of a human. My son says the teacher himself embarrassed my son multiple times in front of the entire class. Which lead to him being bullied by classmates in class and on the bus, one of which I had to go directly to the parents home to confront the situation. Mr. Cordeo acted dumbfounded and said he never knew of a thing. Its been months since he left that school and obviously this was so profound it bothers him every day.

I believe that this school does not really have the best teachers or the best staff. They also have a horrible choice of food. If I could rate it a 0 I would.

I currently attended this school and I have to say it’s bad like really! There are really mean kids here and they don’t get in trouble and I get bullied. Also the dress code is strict you can’t wear a shorts that are shorter than your arms well I have short arms and boys can’t where tank top what the I’m hot also they have really bad teachers like (not calling any names) hate to break it to ya they are so strict. Also they have no Track A B C or D for Jr. High. Also Tracks A get a early summer break and the rest get one week of summer break. The tracks dont even get spring break! I wish I can give a 0 star

Extremely irrelevant and unorganized. I do not recommend sending your kids to this prison. They will be tormented and constantly made fun of for being irrelevant and unknown by society.If you truly love your kids then do not allow them to go to this rejected school. Thank you!

This school is just awful. I would literally put 0 stars if i could. Most of the staff are really mean, you cant even take your phone out AFTER SCHOOL. The school lunches are nasty, not to mention the band needs alot of money for instruments, and instrument maintenance. If you want your kids to be bullied, or generally feel awful send them here. If not send them somewhere else.

I attended this place for most of my life. All the teachers (with the exception of a select few) do a terrible job controlling students during class, which results in total madness for no reason. But thats not the worst problem- the worst part is that the place is too sheltered. Not enough work is given, leaving students unprepared for high school. On the other gand, its clean, relatively well organized, and a bit pleasent to say the least. One thing to mention is that because the school is tiny and sheltered, you know everyone there, so its a bit more like a community.

Worst experience! I have a child with ADHD whom was isolated by teacher( he was forced to sit in a corner away from everyone else and all the way in the back ) when I complained no one seem to be aware of his class environment. That made sense why my child hated school so much. The day I witness that, it was the last day he attended that careless and horrible school. Please think twice before enrolling your child at this horrible school. -5 stars if I could.

The teachers were the only thing keeping me at cal aero not the students or the school. i don’t give the school 5 stars i give the teachers 5 stars. shoutout to mr. adams and mr. nieblas for being the BEST teachers in the school. i miss you guys.

Staff can give you the run around and they have no cafeteria so the kids sit outside around these huge green beetles flying around along with flies landing on their food while they eat......the kindergarten only go for 3 hours a day.....its a hassle when you have other kids that have to be at school at 8:30 and my kindergartener goes to pm kindergarten from 12:00 to 3:20.....(had a choice of am kindergarten from 8:30 to 12:00 pm) its a mess, I dont like it but have no choice at this point.....

The staff is way too strict, and the students are very very rude. The staff is too busy yelling at me then actually helping me, its very frustrating. And also its a libtard school run by libtards. This is my opinion dont get offended

We just moved in the neighborhood and after the winter break from school my husband and I went to CAPA (school) to transfer the our girls. CAPA is serving K-8 and our girls are in 4th & 6th grades. Honestly, as a mom, I know how well my kids - academically, and when i saw most BAD reviews about the school and the staffs, i felt a bit worried and already told my husband that I wont mind driving further if needed (missing our OMES & OMIS badly that time). Then the first week of doing all the necessary part of enrollment, i just let my husband to do it with our girls and everyday I will ask them of how it goes....... until........I personally went there 2 days, to do some get some paperwork for the next school year since I have an incoming kindergarten and so on... I met some of the staffs and the school nurse and I love them all! Very Welcoming.The lady who assisted us all through out, giving us call every now and then when its needed - I want to give a special thanks. Her name is Michelle Werling, and shes one of the best....Past reviews matters to me, but it doesnt stop me from trying it myself. I learned not to give my judgment just by what I read or heard.
