My best friend killed her self when she was very young, I have really bad depression,kids there constantly make jokes about wanting to kill themselves and the school doesnt do much about it they talk to the kid about it and thats it Ill report something that happened and they will say oh well I will talk to them, but there not much else I can do. There is something more you can do like detention or something like that, I go to that school Ive witnessed, seen, and gone through things you wouldnt even believe that school is awful and nothing is happening to fix it.

I just called to learn about driving school, Im not a student there so its a professional call, they were rude and hanged up pretty fast.

Deer Park Community City Schools have witnessed 17 true suicides ( which doesnt include the attempted ones) including a little girl that rode her big wheel up and down our street when she was 2 years old but passed suddenly due to a bullying issue and felt her life wasnt worth it anymore. I have witnessed great families try their best to work with our community to make it better for our kids but they get shot down every chance they try so they give up and move on to other communities that will accept their willingness to help with all of the children. I am highly disappointed that our Board of Education doesnt see the hidden agenda here from our Superintendent and his assistant along with all of the recent hirings that he hand picked and didnt use the correct protocol for hiring. I also dont appreciate Steve Gentry using our school as his home base for a 501C3 Charitable organization and asking for money from the community for a charity that didnt even exist at the time he distributed the letters to the local businesses. Our superintendent is being investigated for ethic violations through the Ohio BOE and we, as tax payers are having to reimburse his mileage to a tune of $3300 along with his salary of $118,000...and we must not forget Jay Phillips now makes $108,000 a year for his salary. I have copies of the credit card receipts that are public record and have found some very interesting information about how they are spending our districts money but they want us to continue giving them our tax dollars so they can mismanage funds. Tonights meeting unraveled an interesting subject as to why DPCCSD paid $13,000 more for their landscaping contracts compared to the last company that didnt even get a chance to re bid the job...they outsourced it to a company in Harrison, Ohio to none other than our assistant superintendents fathers business....there is so much more but I would highly suggest if anyone is concerned about what is really going on then educate yourself and dont let the Good Old Boy system keep you down. We pay taxes and we have rights to be heard....even if everyone can agree to disagree...something needs to happens ASAP!!
