This school is a hidden gem and such a magical place. The environment is so friendly and clean. The teachers are incredibly patient and compassionate. They follow Montessori values and really care about your childs well-being. I went there as a child and it makes me so happy to share this wonderful experience with my daughter. If I could keep her here till Highschool I would. Thank you MCR, we love you! ❤

We ended up at MCR a bit by happenstance, but have been blown away by the teachers, staff, and community support. Our daughters have thrived in the classic Montessori environment--they have very different personalities but weve seen their confidence and individuality brought to life under the sweet direction of the school.The before and after care (Enrichment) experience has been equally great! And the location is perfect for our Mt. Lookout to Downtown commute. :)

MCR has an amazingly caring and knowledgeable team of educators and staff. Their approach is gentle and kind while encouraging independence in children. The families at the school are wonderful- making for a really great community environment. I am so pleased to be sending my son here and have seen remarkable improvement in his development. Plus, being able to pop-in to an observation booth and watch him in the classroom at any time is a huge perk!

We absolutely love MCR! The teachers are so kind and know how to encourage your child in positive ways to achieve more than they thought they could. The school thrives on parent participation and everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Its a great way for both your child and yourself to make friends. I toured a couple of Montessori schools in the Cincinnati area and this school is the most authentic in its adherence to the Montessori method. MCR has been around for almost 60 years and theyve really gotten it down to a science at this point.

We sent our oldest child to this school. It is special. It is magical. The teachers, staff, and board are all amazing. This is a family-run school. Meaning, the families that send there kids to this school MUST be involved. And they are involved. Some of our best friends in Cincinnati came from our 3-years at MCR. We cant say enough about how great this school is, and would definitely recommend you stop by, take a tour, and consider this place for your childs earliest and most important years. When our baby is of age, she will be the first one to climb those stairs in the morning!

Sending our sons to MCR was the best decision we could possibly have made. This is such a time of change and development for little ones, and the teachers and staff at this school are professionals with heart. They are so experienced in child learning and development for this stage. It is amazing to see the independence grow from these little people, all thanks to the great people at MCR. They saw some challenges with our older son and guided him perfectly. Our younger son has thrived there. Those building blocks of learning and resilience will stay both of them always. We could not have found a better way to spend our money than to give this gift to our kids.

We sent our daughter to Montessori Center Room for preschool and Kindergarten. The teachers are so smart, kind and loving. She thrived. She also transitioned very well to a public school system after Kindergarten and was way ahead of the other public school children in both reading and math. We look back at our time at MCR as a very special gift.

Wow, what a gem. I have sent all 3 of my children here for preschool and Kindergarten. I am a working parent so they all also attended the afterschool enrichment program. MCR is such an amazing place, the teachers are amazing and help the children grow into independent, confident, curious, and kind people. The concrete learning of Montessori has helped my children become readers and developed a thorough understanding of number sense for their elementary years.

In my opinion I would stay away from this place for a few reasons: 1) They are hardcore on the Montessori philosophy. If your kid has an accident they wont help clean her up and leave them to fend for themselves with supervision. Cant tell you how many times our little one came home with a dirty bottom. 2) They refuse to believe there is any way but the Montessori way....not all kids learn the same though....I was told the philosophy should will for everyone after my kid was having issues 3) During one of my viewings I saw my child get scolded in a very disappointing manner. 4) Shady area......always some questionable individuals milling around at pick-up time

I was educated wonderfully at this school, and still have fond memories of my time there.
