Westfield Friends is such a special place for me as a parent of alumni and a teacher. I love coming to school and work where there is a strong sense of community with a caring staff, and involved parents. Students are eager to learn and realize their potential in a discovery and inquiry based approach.It is fun for me to work with them as they explore challenges and achieve their goals. I love watching them as they recognize that they are capable and have an active role in their education!

When I started working at Westfield Friends six years ago, I found a place to call my second home. The long standing traditions, warm atmosphere, and nurturing staff make Westfield a very special school. The teachers have the opportunity to teach the whole student and it is wonderful seeing them grow throughout their years at Westfield.

As an alumni and educator at Westfield Friends School I feel so grateful to be a part of a community that encourages students to live lives of integrity, be reflective, promote peace and exercise stewardship. Westfield sees the importance of honoring each student as an individual which then fosters opportunities for students to seek truth through active, joyful, and collaborative inquiry.

Westfield Friends School is a small private school that starts with preschool at age 2 and goes through 8th grade. The small classroom environment and dedicated teachers allow the students to learn in a rigorous academic setting while feeling supported. Westfield is rooted in wonderful traditions that create a love for learning that stays with their students.Our two children have very different learning styles, but they are both growing into strong independent learners. We are happy to be a part of this wonderful school.

I am a teacher at WFS and I love our school! We have a challenging and creative curriculum. We embrace all styles of learning. My fellow educators and I collaborate on various projects with the students and we all try to make learning fun every day! WFS is a caring, loving community. I am so happy to be teaching here!

An amazing school situated in the heart of South Jersey. This PK - 8 school has been our second home for eight years. It truly educates the entire child - from their amazing arts program (visual & music) to rigorous academics. The teachers are wonderful. I also love that my children are taught the Quaker values in school - Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community and Equality. These are values that will ultimately build a strong foundation in helping to shape my childrens future. I cant recommend this school highly enough. It has been a gift to our family.

As a new member of the WFS community, I am glad to say it is as welcoming and friendly as I thought it would be. As teachers, we strive to create a learning environment that is focused on the whole student. I am very impressed that the school’s environment, lessons, and activities are all grounded in developing the social, emotional, and academic success of each student.

My children are new to WFS this year however, it has been a great experience thus far. Pretty confident I have made the best decision sending them here. It really is an inclusive community setting!!

Westfield has been my home for 35 years, and teaching here has been a true joy. The education children receive at Westfield is one that allows for the development of the whole child; academics are, of course, of utmost importance, and our curriculum allows for students to learn at their own pace in a program that encourages students to challenge themselves. As an eighth grade teacher of history and English, I want to give my students a scholastic base that gives them the skills to move on to high school with confidence; when they come back to visit from their various private and public high schools they often tell me that they feel very well prepared, and many report, its so easy! Although preparing them academically has been very gratifying, it is watching them develop socially and emotionally that has been a true delight. Our students graduate with a solid sense of themselves; they are socially conscientious and understand what is important to them, and they have gained the confidence to resist peer pressure and to follow the directions of the moral compass they have developed as students.at Westfield. Watching our students grow from tiny children in pre-school to confident young men and women who are ready to find their places as leaders in the world is an amazing experience; as a seasoned teacher and the parent of three alumni, being part of the Westfield family remains a magical experience.

Westfield is a community that fosters growth in and out of the classroom. It is an intentional place where everyone is welcomed and appreciated. Great school environment and dedicated faculty and staff.

It’s such a blessing to have this school in our lives! It’s impossible to put a dollar value on the sense of community that you get here and the education is exceptional.

Our two daughters go to this school and have had a wonderful experience there so far...the curriculum is broad and deep, the values and sense of community instilled in the kids is exceptional, and the staff constantly go above and beyond to enhance their childrens learning experiences. Would thoroughly recommend this school for anyone looking for a great education, welcoming community, and values based family atmosphere.
