This company is amazing!! Everyone is nice, they truly care about their students, and have an open door policy! Ive never seen a better school! I will forever recommend this school to ANYONE who wants to enter the medical field! They have food drives in the student lounge for one income families, and single parents! They had a party on the 5th of May this year just for fun, and EVERYONE was invited. And no matter the length of your course, you still get a graduation! They even work with you on tutoring too! And you get a hands on experience in the classrooms, and externships end up hiring you (most of the time) it feels great to know this school actually cares!

Hey everyone, UMA is really not that bad, theirs always going to be bad reviews everywhere, but I think that has to do with lack of communication.You see, when I enrolled at UMA, I was very surprised, I didn’t feel rushed, I actually felt as if the advisors were being helpful, and they were very considerate because I was serious about UMA.I see a lot of people complaining about the prices, and in all honesty, it is pricey, just like any college is pricey. My financial aid covered most of my tuition, I have about 5,000 in loans that I have to pay off 6 months after I graduate because it deferment, and it’s not like your gonna pay so much debt at first, you pay monthly for over a period of time, stop stressing over loans if it’s for your FUTURE.Pros of UMA:1.The tuition is expensive, BUT textbooks Are included in the tuition costs, you are not going to be able to find that at any college.2. If you are wanting to attend a degree program with UMA and you wish to further your education, they partner up with universities that are online like SNHU.Which is extremely helpful, and they transfer all credits form UMA. You’ll be going from academy to a university in no time.3. Maintaining a 4.0 and achieving a 4.0 is so easy at UMA, I’m not even kidding, it is very achievable with UMA.4. Advisors communicate with you weekly on your process as a new student, but if you have a 4.0 you won’t be getting a call, since your so successful you basically don’t need one( I haven’t gotten one in a month and I have been attending UMA for 6 months )5. They have career services that helps you get a job.Cons:1. UMA is soo easy that the price is almost not worth it because I feel like I’m in middle school2. I almost feel as if I’m left uncertain . With the loans I have to pay off after graduation and the feeling of uncertainty about. Jobs, it’s almost nerve wrecking.

I took this course online while working and homeschooling my children, as a single mom. I went from working in restaurants and being paid minimum wage to being hired in the healthcare field. If you dont think you have time - you can finish your work at 2 am if you have to. I did most of my work from a cellphone - I also used the laptop they provided to me.

This is a great college...I got my associates degree in 2 years for medical administration and coding...starting at a partner school for bachelors in Healthcare management with concentration of business so if Healthcare isnt right for me I can do business management..they have so many people on hand to help you anytime..my advisor was awesome Juan Campos called me weekly to check on me see if I needed help..I would recommend this school for anyone seeking a medical career they are awesome..thank you UMA!!!

This is the worst school I have ever seen in my whole life. My daughter attended an online class. She can not submit her assignments. When she submit assignments the Teacher are not able to open the assignment. She have taken five to six classes, and her financial aid has been paid. She has not received any of her money, and now they have received another payment and have not yet sent her any money. I am looking into getting and investigations started with this school. This type of practice is awful students are paying money to be educated and develop skills to go and be productive in the world and make a better living for.them and their families. Something needs to be done. Can someone say embezzlement.

This school is great when it comes to helping the students with there class work and learning, but financial aide part is horrible!!!!They called me 5-10 times a day hounding me telling me I couldn’t do school there unless I got it done now!Screw that. I will be looking for a new college! ASAP

I was a recent Graduate from Ultimate Medical Academy online. I am going to say. I am very please with the experience that I have had. The support, friendliness, and more was absolutely wonderful. I was called twice a week to make sure everything was going good, and to see if I needed anything. The staff stayed right beside me every step of the way. I WILL return back to Ultimate Medical Academy in the future.

I was so excited to start classes with UMA I started 3 weeks ago. Enrollment process was so nice and easy and professional. And help the whole rode with getting started then I started and financial aid called I corporated the whole time got my award letter and everything. Only was missing one document that was never given a deadline to get in which was a amended tax signature. Mind you i was active in class everyday with great grades staying in the A range and this morning I go to log in and I call because I could not access my account and was told they canceled me for incomplete financial aid. But yet i was never told these morning that I was canceled for classes. Now when I called im told I have to reenroll and start classes all over again from the beginning. This school is a complete joke at this point and it made me feel as if my success wasnt important only the dollar signs are. I had plans to refer this school to so many people but I will not be doing that at all. This going for the online school not in person.

My name is Rebecca, I graduated in 2018 with my degree in MAA. I gave this school 5 stars due to me wanting to go to school. I had 2 kids, a bad marriage and at first looked at it like a hobby. I was just looking for something new to do with my time; I held a high gpa and received a laptop due to my grades. I loved that I was able to take a couple hours while my kids napped and do my “hobby” when I wanted. I did get a couple calls throughout the week to check up on me, I had one student advisor that I connected with and she helped me stay on track and realize that it’s NOT just a hobby but a life changer and it hit me that she was right. I had amazing support throughout the 18 months of schooling, I also went through a divorce and I had to move around a lot and went through a bad custody battle and I was still getting amazing support through it all! I was able to get extensions on my work when needed and they worked with me as well as my teachers. They helped me get a job and even offered to pay for a taxi or Uber driver when I didn’t have a car due to my ex taking the only vehicle and not allowed to work while with him. They are amazing and helped me get on my feet with the large amount of motivation and helping me be determined to finish school and get to the job. I at first didn’t think of the seriousness of school but it was an eye opener when I was able to hold a 4.0 gpa and have my own schedule to complete the tasks needed. I recommend this school to all! They are amazing and I have my degree and 2 years after graduating I am on my feet and I am working and utilizing my degree at a great hospital and I am so glad to have had the support offered like I did or else I would have quit my “hobby” and wouldn’t be where I am!

Don’t attend when I was on the phone I heard them clapping and saying yeah I was like what’s that noise she say every time somebody enroll they celebrate RED FLAG. It’s a call center. Profit school they talk you into enrolling which I did it sounded good at first but when it’s to good to be true believe it. Very persuasive and when you ask questions they beat around the bush or change your question telling you to start school now i told that lady 1 week from now was to early for me to start she told me now or never... While pricey, my academic advisor was amazing, I only had one instructor that I had any complaints about, and I was able to get my Associates Degree in 16 short months. I landed a job in my field before I even graduated! I also still receive follow-up from UMA even though I graduated 4 years ago checking to see if I need assistance in finding work. 100% would recommend for anybody comfortable enough with online schooling!

I love going to Ultimate Medical Academy they have taught me so much about myself and the teachers are great. My advisor Mrs. Rogers is the best she was there for anything that I needed to help me get my diploma and I hope she will be my advisor during the time I will be getting my Associates Degree because with out her I would not be where I am today. My experience at Ultimate Medical Academy was amazing. They were very nice and caring to me and other students. The staff and administration helped me and answered all my question the best they could. They helped broaden my path in the medical field, though this is a first for me, they really helped me understand what Ill be doing.

This school please stay away. I went through the financial aid process. They call you a lot and say we need to sign this or that paper. I had to pay some cash towards my education. They wanted to me to pay 1600 a month. I told them I couldnt afford and they cancelled my classes. They dont have any scholarships or any programs to help you. I found another school that is much better and gave me some scholars to help towards classes. Please be aware they are all about financial aid . When your a part cash or cash out student they dont give you a chance. I will never recommend anyone there.

I am a student on line, and I have to say, this Academy is by far the best that there is.They offer so many tools for students to use while attending. It has definitely made it easy to be on the Deans List because there are so many coaches and instructors, to help you along the way. Pushed for me to get started without giving any actual information about the school, programs, or cost. Just kept saying what would be keeping me from starting in 2 weeks, and why cant I commit. I got pushed around to multiple different people after which I was told I was getting general college resources and eventually I just got transferred to the Ultimate Medical Academy. Shady practices into a forced situation, and then the audacity to be so incredibly rude during every step of the process. Yes, I could of just hung up at anytime, but they just kept pushing that the next person would give more information, and I genuinely wanted to hear them out. But my patience wore then when I got 8 phone calls throughout the rest of the day all from different numbers all calling from the Ultimate Medical Academy basically starting the process over again. This is a very clear bait and switch operation praying on those who dont know any better. Never actually got the information, nor do I want it now, they just want money but dont want to give their time.

Worst college ever. Maintained 4.0 through entire course. Was told by student advisor when I had a family emergency to deal with at the end of the course that I had enough credit to graduate. Lie. And nobody even checked with her, or she lied so I never received my certificate of completion. Completed the whole course except the last week. And then they had the nerve to keep calling me to see when I was coming back! After several phone calls and e mails that were enough to describe as harassment for over a year they have FINALLY got the message to not EVER contact me again.

I loved it until I graduated and connected with an career advisor, long story short I found a career on my own but it was like the advisor was destined to take my part in what I did, as almost as if she didnt find something for me herself and didnt accomplish it then she wont get paid or something, it was like a very pushy situation. so the job I found she asked me what there number was which I really didnt wanna give it to her but I did, and they were wondering why she kept calling them and at the end of the day I didnt have it anymore. I was really sad and depressed after and it lasted for awhile Cuz I was actually feeling good that I did it on my own but I guess not, i even saw an ad that they were hiring and asked her about that and talked me out of that, so now Im stuck doing the same thing I was doing before but I wont give up just wont be going there again.

I have been really good at finding jobs, and getting interviews. Thats as far as it gets.I want to work, well I FEEL that since I have been doing my best, and you dont provide internship or externships, you should terminate my collage payment.I this is going on for two + years. Did online courses to get an degree as a pharmacy technician. Come to find out after receiving my associates from here, these credits are useless. I wasted my time with this on something that can’t be used outside of their “prefer” colleges that they have contracts with. I am wanting to continue my educational career and get into pharmacy school. Now I have to start once again from square one because they are NOT accredited with ANY community colleges or universities in this country. $27k down the drain and nothing to show for once again (was currently a pharmacy technician when I started this program. My previous work did on the job training). It is super frustrating that they won’t give you the full details on this. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t bad IF you want to settle just for this. But if you are like me, wanting to continue your education endeavor, this school is not for you. Go to your local community college. It will be way cheaper for you! I’m still waiting to see if this school will reimburse me on part of my tuition since for most part they did decieved me on credit transferring and was given unreasonable career job opportunities to apply for (a pharmacy technician applying for a job at a blood bank. We have no training in that!).

After requesting more info and speaking to an agent I told her I would call back when Ive made a decision. The following day I recieved phone calls from the school at all hours of the day until 9:00 pm and on the weekend. I am not happy. That is incredibly invasive and disrespectful. Do not attend this school if they cannot resoect me over the damn phone. 😠

This school is amazing and I have read the negative reviews do not believe them because this school is great. Once you graduate you dont have to pay on your student loans for 6 months then you can start making payments but you can start before then. People claim they are in debt if that is the case that is because they decided not to pay on their loans. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The reason people are complaining is because they obviously not doing something right. If you want a fun and great experience then choose UMA. I will never regret choosing this school. Get your degree in no time!!!!!!

Its been an exciting learning experience. Classes and labs go by quick and the teachers make it easy to learn and fun. All teachers have experience in the field you choose and thats a huge plus. I would recommend anyone to UMA.

I’m interested in going into the medical field for a career and I reached out to them for info on their programs and I talked to a lady for about 20 minutes and I told her at the end that I would be in contact if I was interested. The next day I get call and from “Unknown” and he literally asked me the same things from the day before, I told him I would be in contact if I was interested. Everyday since then I get calls from them and if I don’t answer then it’s two calls a day. They need to update notes in their database and stop trying to push people into going to school there, it’s irritating getting calls from “Unknown” everyday. Picking somewhere to go to school is hard enough, let alone feeling like you have to pick this one because they keep calling you. I picked a different school since then and I told the lady today when they called again, I told her to take me off the calling list and she said it would take a few hours. I hope a principal or dean or whoever is in charge sees this and does something about the constant calls.

Excellent sales team. Computer benefit seems awesome! Not too bad tuition for in state residents. But if you want to save money and time through transferring credits, this college may not be for you. I got vague answers to my questions in regards to transferring credit. They also had my classes scheduled before I knew if any of my credits transferred. Takes seven days to know if. Even concerning CLEP. Their contracts are tricky. If you are a new student, PERFECT! You should finish! If you have credits you worked hard on and dont want to waste them? Use caution! DO NOT ENROLL till you get your answers!!! I might have chickened out before I knew, but once admitted if you have credits, they seem to do everything they can to not give you direct answers in order to get the most money out of you as they can. This is speculation. All I know? 52 credits took a lot of money to obtain, and I do not want to waste them if I do not have to!

Honestly its crazy, like things obviously pop up in peoples lives and they are just the pushiest group of people ever it literally made me so uncomfortable feeling like Billy and them were trying to use me and put me into something I never wanted to do. Read reviews after the fact and wish I had never agreed to this program. They call like 20 times a day and are just sooooo demeaning if you mention going a different route. Had to fight to get my major changed to something I actually wanted to do all because it costed less, and was STILL made to wait two days to think about it to change it. I felt so rushed into it because God forbid you question them about worries you have. You definitely wont get any straight answers. What a joke! Definitely go to a real school, calling ivy tech now.

I made the mistake of going to an online site asking for information on several schools. I started to put in my info for information on uma but backed out before entering all of my info and they called me anyway. They called 5 times within an hour. I didn’t answer because I was getting ready to go somewhere. They used a fake number to look like the call was local.I finally answered that evening and was asked a lot of personal and insignificant questions. They had me get online into their site and walked thru a bunch more questions and at the end of several pages they tried to slip in getting me enrolled. (All the while I was in the phone there was LOTS of background noises and yelling every once in awhile-they must’ve had takers) I told the guy I wasn’t going to enroll because I was looking at other schools. He said “you’ll have to go through this all over again if you sign up.” I said I wasn’t interested in signing up. Since then, yesterday, I’ve gotten another call wanting me to do the same thing and I’ve gotten a text also. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS SCHOOL. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND JUST OUT TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF UNSUSPECTING KIDS

Im currently enrolled in the MAA degree. I love it . They keep in touch to make sure everything is going good throughout the course. They explain everything in full details especially with the financial aid and loan situations. Im going to continue my education with them after I finish this degree.

I absolutely love this institution!!! The Career Services Department is totally awesome! They go above and beyond what their job requires. As a student and a graduate of UMA I had everything I needed. They offer tutoring for their students to make sure their learning experience is interesting and make them eager to learn. The incessant calling is extremely uncalled for. I asked for information on the Medical billing and coding program and you all have called me 15 times for the last 3 days with 7 calls being just in one day. and I have said I will call ya’ll back if I needed information. I can only imagine how it is once you are fully enrolled. I have decided I’d rather just shell out $2000 for the AAPC CPC course than to have to deal with this.I have forwarded your information to the FCC and the licensing board that certifies this school. I will be counting the calls after today and if you call again. I will forward to my Lawyer and have her settle it in court for (Calls can be between $500-$1500) if you all keep violating this rule.

The most unprofessional staff Ive ever encountered! From the hiring process to the false promises of success to their prospects (students). They need to get better leadership in the way of management and adjust their accreditation credentials. DONT DO IT FOLKS YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

Im sorry this school is a big rip off. I dont understand why they havent been shut them down like Heald, Everest, and Corinthians. You dont see none of your financial Aid nor your Student Loan monies. I completed my first five weeks, got a computer from the the school that only cost $450 and they then tell me I want be able to get no of the financial assistance I applied for and at the end of the day I will end up having to paying a debt back that I didnt have any access too. They have control of all the money that you get from FASA and your Student Loan. Be very careful before you enroll in this school. I dont understand how you go to a college and you dont have access to the money the government is giving you to go to school. Everything that glitter aint gold. So be very cautious when applying for this school. Thats a bunch of bull. Even when you go to school at a Community College you have access to your monies. Your check comes in your name and you can buy your own books and take care what ever expenses you have. I got 5 books, 1 notebook, 1 computer, two pens, and a backpack from youll. I wish I would of did my research way more better before I sign up to this rip off school.

Hello my name is Chelsea. I attended UMA last year and graduated in Admin Medical Asst. I did enjoy the school and everyone was very, very helpful. I was able to find a job 6 months after graduation. Career Services did a wonderful job and helped me through my move and all. I am looking to go back to school. UMA is a wonderful school. If you have kids and a job this would be a great school to attend to further your education. Everyone has good and bad experiences but for my first college AND it being online, they did a wonderful job.

The school experience is pretty okay, and the teachers are very understanding, but I hate how much debt they put you in. I made a mistake and thought financial aid would pay for most of it, but it doesnt even put a dent in it. And, you end up a little more than $6,000 in debt! Im in so much debt that Im not sure that Im even gonna be able to dig myself out of it. Had I known that financial aid wouldnt pay for most of my school tuition I wouldnt even enrolled in this school. They dont explain the financial part of it too well. When they explain it to you its so confusing that you dont really understand it, and now Im in debt that I didnt want or need. Im struggling so bad right now, and really didnt need this. If they had explained the courses needed to take I doubt I would have taken it. They switch classes every 5 weeks, I hate the discussions and how you need to do one or two every week (depending on the course), and how you need to take a test every week. I have been in this school since April for Medical Administrative Assistant, and dont feel like I really learned anything, nothing is fully explained to you and none of the material seems to help, they try to push you into the work force 4 months before school is over, and I thought I was earning my degree, and would be certified but I found out I am only getting my diploma. Also, someone calls you 4 months before school is even over to get you to do a 45 minute mock interview. Why are they calling 4 months before school is even over? And, they call so early, its ridiculous. Now, Im scared that my debt is going to get even worse, and Im never gonna do any better. I had high hopes for this year, and now Im even more afraid than ever. I hate this school and wish I never did it.

This is mind blowing I really would like to know whoa in charge the head of everything. I am currently in school here and Ive been trying to address certain issues about these reviews as well. No one has gave me a answer so it must be truth behind what over 300 plus reviews are saying. I need answers and so do everyone else. UMA STOP WAITING UNTIL WE AS STUDENTS GET DONE WITH SCHOOL, OR HAVE WAY IN THE MIDDLE TO NOTICE WE ARE SCREWED. THEY NEED TO FIND ANOTHER APPROACH OF TEACHING AS WELL, THE OVER LOAD IS INSANE, THE GRADUATION RATE WOULD BE BETTER IF THEY REALLY LOOK AT THESE REVIEWS. OVERALL I LIKE WHAT I AM LEARNING I JUST HOPE THEY GIVE ME THE RIGHT DEGREE, BECAUSE I SEEN A REVIEW ABOUT THAT AS WELL.

UMA is a great school I take online classes but some of the instructors are bad Ive had teachers who work with you but then their are instructors who dont wanna see you make it I currently have an instructor who is giving me such a hard time its to the point Im waiting for my student advisor to contact me so I can drop out. Nobody has helped me with this problem and its like I dont wanna be in this ladys class any longer its like if something is not done Im leaving I shouldnt have to feel like Im being put down when I beg and plead for help everyday but constantly being ignored .

I currently just enrolled in UMA for the Medical Billing and Coding. Im very excited and this school seems to be so helpful and are there to answer any questions you have. I love my Advisor Cierra Pope. Shes amazing and makes me feel so welcomed here. I also love how the program is affordable unlike half the other schools that are over 30,000 dollars.Cant wait to start with you guys and see where my life will end up after!

The only reason i gave two stars is because when i attended uma, i had a cool student advisor, and i learned a few new things. HOWEVER, I am disgusted because 1. I feel my resumes THEY typed up are based on lies. What is put on resumes is what the employer expects of YOU! 2. The career service staff has 0% empathy and will hound THEE HELL out of you! Afterall, you are the one who is job searching. They act as though its an urgent deadline for you to apply for the jobs they find for you. Every job i have had, i found ON MY OWN! 3. I DO NOT like the idea of career services needing to know your every move and detail pertaining to applying for the jobs they find for you.I told a staff member i am going through some personal issues plus i am currently in school and busy. I felt as if i was talking to the wall! They put demands on you to apply and call they jobs they find for you.I understand if they are working on commission and have to meet certain quotas, but YOU CANT MAKE NOBODY HIRE YOU! PERIOD! PLUS, GETTING A JOB IS A CHOICE! I told a staff member that i am going to wait until i return home to GA, then look for another job, and wait until i am done with obtaining my Bachelors at the school i currently attend, then i will seek employment in the MEDICAL field. She totally ignored my request. She made demands for me to call and set up a phone interview with one of the jobs she found for me.So, if she ignored my wishes, guess what?? Two can play catch! The interview prep only makes you more nervous because they want you to lie and be perfect. Newsflash: they will find out the truth, and NOBODYS PERFECT!I was really irate when i went to an interview and the manager told me to return the following week for training, then the career service staff member called the manager basically to compare notes and told me that the manager said no such thing! I am not a kid, nor am i a dam criminal. Their being pushy and being the middle man, i can definitely do without! Keep your career service bs. Im good. Give me all the feed back you want to give me, i meant what i said. PERIOD.

I graduated from the Medical Office and Billing Specialist, Diploma Program, Spring 2016 and now I am in the Associates Program. You could not ask for a better team, they are always in your corner helping you in every way and cheering when you have cheered out. They give you all the tools so you can see your dreams come true because your dream is their dream. Go UMA!

They are quick to get you enrolled....because they are all about the $$$. Their courses may be comparably priced with other online schools, but their courses are severely lacking (though I can only speak for medical billing and coding). The classes are outdated, the instructions dont match assignments, and some of the information is just plain WRONG. They really dont care if you can even type a complete sentence for the discussions - as long as you do your posts you get credit (you have to do your initial post and respond to at least two other students).They wont give you transfer credits for the general education courses unless the course description matches theirs by 80%....even if you took a more complicated class. I am about to get my diploma but have no knowledge of the upcoming (next month) ICD-10 because all they taught was when it is to be implemented.

Excellent programs, teachers, staff who work as one to ensure students are successful.

This school takes advantage of people that just want information on programs! Once i speak to the director tomorrow, i will definitely let he/she know i will not ever attend this school online or on campus!

The reason I choose UMA to further my education was, When I was a little girl my grandmother passed away and I didnt know why, So for many years I the thought was stuck in my heart to understand the medical field, So once I received my diploma there was no stopping me from conquering my heart desire to provide the best care that I could possibly give to people with questions like I had. And Ill tell you all it feels great to be filled with knowledge. UMA is my first and only college that Ill attend, the team here is very supportive I love all of them. I would like to thank you all for being here for me helping me to achieve my heart desire.

Great classes and teachers but I wished that the diploma program that I graduated from with honors would have included some clinical side to the MAA program and my diploma program was more pricey than I originally thought it was going to be. Anyway just hoping to get employment soon its been 6 months and not one interview, got to pay down my loan!!..

My financial aide did not cover the $12,000 they wanted so I unenrolled with one of the hundreds off people I spoke to so I thought, then lovia the lady who was helping me. Called and asked what happened and I told her she was like well what bout a loan,I told her that from the beginning I had mentioned to her I didnt not want a loan so then a few hours later I get a call from another guy saying the same thing.. and I told him the same thing .. he then proceeds to tell me to log in on Monday I told him no because I was not going to get a loan.. I think.they get a commission if you get a loan, I have never been so harrassed in my life before.. stay away people .. they are a bunch of bullies and rude if you want to.unenroll...

I wish I would’ve attended a college campus that’s well known I’ve been going to uma since March of 2018 I had to go off on a couple of employees that work for ultimate medical academy constant attitudes and rudeness and all supervisors can tell you is o we will talk to that employee or pull the call it has been a major problem and lies pertaining to your student loans you take out I don’t know why they feel the need to hold on to your money but they will try it got so bad at one point I had to contact the department of educations with ultimate medical academy on the phone and when they knew the real deal was on the phone they tried to switch up I was told they were waiting for department of education to disburse funds but come to find out they were already at the school that same day the school cut the check when they were found out about department of education informed me they get calls all the time from unhappy students complaining about the school I quit going to ultimate medical academy at one point and it should’ve stayed that way especially after reading all of the reviews from previous students that have already graduated and had to start over or never was successful at finding a job because the school isn’t right or employers take the school as a joke so you can’t get a job I am very afraid of that happening to me after graduation I’ve also experienced requesting funds and didn’t get my full refund and was told the bank takes out fees well I contacted cadence bank and was told the fees the bank charges is about 5 dollars verses 100 dollars that was missing from my check now I’m having problems with my funds again I requested funds like towards the end of December I’ve received letters from my lender as well as department of educations stating the funds were at uma and that was 2weeks ago and I keep hearing we are waiting for your lender or our bank to process the funds and that’s just a bunch of lies when the department of education informed me they cut the checks straight to the school and the bank that I’ve spoken with who the school stated they go through said the banks processing time is 1 to 2 business days it’s been a week since I’ve spoken to the bank and the school continue to tell me o the computers are talking 🤣🤣😂😂 I feel someone like irs needs to be involved for students who have such bad experiences as well as BBB and so on so this won’t happen to anyone else

I transferred from Capella and I absolutely love UMA. Most of the bad reviews on here doesnt make any sense seriously like the stuff you are complaining bout is sad. great school so far.

The worst online experience I have ever gone through. They call NONSTOP. If you happen to miss the call and are unable to return their call right away they kick you out. The staff are completely horrible and have no communication with each other so they are constantly asking the same questions over and over. When asked to speak to someone that could possibly have more access they act as if you are bothering them, such as How dare you get transferred to me. The only positive part is when you get your first initial call, after that they are EXTREMELY rude and pushy. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

This school does not care about your needs that extends past what they get paid for and they can be very rude at times. They dont allow you to transfer, if you do you would still have to pay. I requested some funds and was told that it would be disbursed on the 10th of December here it is 12/16 still have not gotten it. I called the school to see why it has not arrived to me yet on the 14th and the lady I spoke with told me its that I have to take the holidays in to consideration. I requested these funds in October, they mailed me a portion of what I asked for and it was close to the holidays then when I received that check, it was Halloween to be exact. There was six business days before December to accept the funds and fifteen business days in the month of December before the actual holidays. I dont know what the problem is but I have better since than to just accept that as their answer to why they are holding my money from me. To me there is more than enough time to have sent my funds out to me there is no holiday in the beginning nore after Thanksgiving to stall the payment. As far as the online program I am enrolled into is a bit stressful more than I expected it to be and I wish I knew all I know now I would have just waited a while longer to enroll into school, I like being in front of a instructor than sitting in front of a computer all week. The school is accredited by Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. I dont know if that applies to the online programs considering I cant get accurate information on that.

Received my Medical Billing/Coding certificate online in March 2012. I did not receive any help from them in assisting me with jobs. The career counselor I had at the time was not helpful at all. I was told in the beginning that I would not have to pay out of pocket, but somehow I owe them money. Ive been sitting on a certificate thats never been used, no intern/externship and the majority of medical facilities want seasoned workers. I honestly feel like all the work I put into this school was a total waste of my time, energy, dedication and discipline.

This medical academy will NOT STOP CALLING MY EFFIN PHONE!!!!!! I do NOT want to enroll after learning there credits are not accrediated whenever I am wanting to get my masters! But even though I’ve said STOP CALLING ME 20+ times a day from DIFFERENT numbers after I block them: THEY CONTINUE. Do NOT give them your information unless you want a never ending cycle of phone calls. Also if you want to get more than your associates I do not recommend coming here online wise, you won’t havw any transfer credits. PLEASE do you review before giving your information to them.They will persuade the hell out of you and make you feel good when it all just a scam to get you into student debt.

My wife graduated and was able to do an externship locally where we live, but she has failed to find a job using the degree she earned. No one here wants a degree in Health Information Technology, but were stuck paying the student loan, while my wife is working in retail sales for minimum wage. Thanks UMA counselor for advising my wife to volunteer her time at a local medial facility to get the experience she needs to get hired, so can we get the money back so she can volunteer to get the 1 year of experience that the medical field requires? Were paying for a degree that cant be used where we live.

This place is a nightmare. I was enrolled with them and needed some paper work to come in so i could finish my fasa to start on the 21. I told them the paper work would be in at 5 to 10 day and I would call them when it was in, being that its coming from the irs they take there sweet time getting things out. Instead of them waiting to hear from me I got 5 to 6 calls a day from them asking me the same thing over and over and they were all from the same department so needless to say I unrolled from them. I dont appreciate being hounded every day.

I went through the class, graduated with a GPS of 3.6.. And I have waited for months to get my diploma. Still dont have it, and they are giving me the run around...

I started receiving phone calls from your school. I told them multiple times that I did not request this information and to please stop calling me. The calls have increased. 15 times yesterday!!! Your telemarketers are extremely RUDE!! They all say they will remove me from the list but call an hour later. Ive asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there was not one! Really? Thats pretty hard to believe. I hope you teach better business practices, than you are currently engaging in.

I love this school, there hands on learning makes it very easy to learn. the teachers are great and willing to help you with anything you may need.

I would have to say that my experience at UMA has been AWESOME! I was pleasantly surprised! But just like an other online school, you get out of it what you put into it! I graduate in less than 2 weeks with a GPA of almost 4.0! I just started last week working in Medical Billing. Thank you UMA!

Dont do it. Once you get past the first wheel youre screwed because you can either drop out and still have $10,000 in student loans or graduate with a diploma that is basically a joke to employers. Then the student loans are even more expensive and youll only be making 20,000 dollars a year. If the programs cost is more then the salary youll be receiving dont do it. They will rush you to a decision in the beginning and push you to sign up for the most expensive program. The first three classes are very hands on and so rushed that you wont have time to even think about dropping out before its too late. After that the classes are bullshit and a waste of time. Half the students cant even take blood pressure, read, write or speak English and they are passing. The staff was smuggling papers and material out when they were being audited, thats when I dropped out. None of the students information or staffs information was correctly organized. Behind the show they put on its a wreck. Everyone is better off going to PTECH or an actual college. Goodluck.

An overall amazing school. My advisor was and is amazing. I graduate in 5 weeks and I absolutely love this program. As a MAA I feel very confident on what I have learned and know I can go far in my career field!

When I first attended this school in 2014 I was excited because at the end I was getting a diploma as a Medical Administrative Assistant and I was going to be able to get a job in the medical field. Nope wasn’t the case!! I did my coursework and maintained a 4.0 throughout ( I was on the dean’s list even). So when it was nearing graduation I had a lady contact me to do the mock interview it went good, I then had someone contact me so we can work on my “professional looking resume”! So we did that the resume was sent to me and now I’m submitting it to different employers. Now a career advisor contacts me which is setting me up on interviews needless to say they had nothing to do with medical assisting in fact she sent me to interview at a eye doctors office which I had learned nothing about and it was the worst interview EVER!!!! I go to the interview and the person doing the interview stated “ I informed Mrs. so and so that we wasn’t hiring, but she was so adamant that I interview you so I just agreed because she kept calling us” At which point he didn’t know what to ask me or how to do a interview so I just got up and walked out. I called the school to inform them that I was being sent on deadend interviews and I never got anymore help from them. I sent my resume to a professional company to get feedback on it and was told it was not professionally done in fact it was poorly done and had many many errors and irrelevant things on it. Personally I’m not one who knows how to do a professional resume so I’m stuck with the junk they gave to me.I apologize for this “book” I wrote but I needed to be heard/read.

My experience at UMA was great until after graduation. Now almost a year later still no job and now i owe too much that i cant even afford... Wow now Im back to where i started but the only differences is that i now owe a much larger debt and still unemployed smh!!At times i do regret doing the online program because in reality it is a waste of time sorry just being honest!

Ive been going here for about a month now and did have a slight problem with being put in the wrong program but it was fixed the same day. They are very supportive. I would like to say to those people giving bad reviews simply because UMA isnt looking for a job for you 24/7 and people that are getting mad at no internships or externship offers, that is crazy. Uma is a college not a staffing agency and you should be finding your internships and externships yourself if they do not provide it. Do noy blame a college because they cant do all the work for you..

Ok with everyone on here talking about the school should help you find a jobs that not true. The school helps put your resume out there but to never to find a job and get hired. I landed my job for what I’m going to school for now and I’m still in school only took 4 classes already so I feel like this is a waste you DO NOT always need a DEGREE but hey teach it’s own.And about the financial aid part is true they said my financial aid picked up everything and out of no where I owe the school now hmmmm mind blowing.

This school did me so wrong I was on a leave of absence because I had a heart procedure i was having done. I had it one class to complete when I came back. They told me i had 7 days from the date I come back to log in an get attendance caught up. I was in the hospital until the 24th of December which was the 7th day they told me since they were going on an attendance freeze because of the holiday I needed to log in on the 23rd which would have made the 6th not the 7th day so they dropped me mind you I only had one class to finish and I was having a heart procedure done. I was told I couldnt re enter because my with draw counted as a fail when I took my leave of absence I begged and begged for them to let me re enter to finish my last class and they wouldnt do not believe the hype about this school they are terrible and they just proved all they want is money because the next day they called me telling me how much I owe themWhats the point of not letting me finish my last class when your going to charge me regardless. Horrible fake people. I would never recommend these lames.

Its so ridiculous a school call from more than 12 phone numbers and they do not leave a mesage. Every single time they call from a different number. Very unprofessional

This school is unprofessional I had to argue with them, so they can withdraw me from the school. I left so many messages on my advisor line because they kept sending me on a wild goose chase about my grant. All they do is lie and say I’m withdrawn but the whole time I’m still enrolled in. Don’t go to this school all they do is lie and want your information. FRAUD

Never in my life have I experienced so many emails from one institution! I am getting emails on a daily basis that I am failing a class when I am only 3 weeks in to the class. Emails about how can they help me. Whenever I call to the school, several of the employees that answer the phone didnt even act like they were happy that they are there.I recently contacted Financial Aid and the hold time was long. That wasnt the issue. The issue is when I was purposely hung up on! I called back and got on the line with a gentleman (I will not display his name) As he was pulling up my information, I can hear in the background another gentleman was trying to leave with another coworker for a break and I guess the supervisor was explaining that he couldnt go because there noone to take the calls. He was actually getting an attitude with them. The guy couldnt place me on hold, couldnt let them know they were being loud, nothing! As we were talking the phone hung up again. I cannot confirm if it was my phone or his, but there was not a phone call back to finish my call.This will be the last time I will seek education from them. I will not refer them to any friends and family. If I had bad experiences with them, what makes you think I am going to subject them to it too???

Im very impressed so far. The staff is very helpful, and professional. I feel i will succeed very well after i graduate. Im glad i found this school!

I attended this school 2015-2016. I was under the impression that I would be doing billing and coding. When it came time to graduate I was told I would only receive a certificate for Medical Administrative Assistant. Two totally different things. I have contacted the school several times about this problem only to be laughed at or made fun of. Jokingly saying well we cant just give you a certificate for that. Ive been hung up on numerous times. Here we are 2018 and still nothing has been done. I still get hung up on or laughed at when I tell them my issue. I recently found out about a lawsuit against the school for fraud with student loans.UPDATE: I’ve contacted the school twice and talked to UMA Cares. You’ll never believe it! NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! UMA DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT GETTING YOUR MONEY!

The first conversation I had with an admission rep was ok. I completed my financial aid but because I didnt talk with them about it was an issue and they blocked my account. I feel like if you have been a student before and know how to do a fafsa you do not need to have an admission rep walk you through the process like you are not capable of completing an application yourself. The second rep that I spoke with started to ask me all these questions all over again. Im like, if you are in my file you see my answers from last week. I did everything I was suppose to do but talk to them so they can talk to me like Im 2 to walk me through some pages. If they feel like people cant fill out a simple form and finance aid form they should not be in college. I do not recommend this academy to anyone that has a degree and have sense. This is for someone that does not understand life. This was the simplest process but they make the admission and initial interview process more than what it should be. The process takes two hours. Unnecessary. So please whoever is reading this find a different academy, college, university to go and get your degree from. Maybe once they get a process going for literate individuals and not illiterate individuals, it would be ok. I havent started the school, but Im glad that it happen before I got started.

When I started this program, I had no job and already had two degrees. I thought this was going to be like all the other colleges that say they will help you, but yet they don’t, and at the end of your program you still have no job. That is not how it worked here at UMA. I started working with the staff on finding a job, I went to interviews and then Career Services called saying I was hired at a good company, making good money. To the staff of UMA, thank you!”

I cant believe that Im doing this but I am giving UMA a second chance . It completely destroyed me and made me feel like I waisted alot of time after I was told that I could not complete my externship and that I would be failing the entire course. I was enrolled in the expanded functions dental assistant program I completed every class up untill externship came along .I thought externship was somthing that I could show up to on my own time .I was told that I had missed my extern leader comming to review me at the site to two times and because of this I would have to start the course completely over. I was upset because no one ever gave me a schedule or warned me ahead of time about which day she would be comming .But I am here today because I chose a different path . The campus in my area shut down a few months later and now I must travel to the Clearwater location so I decided to do online billing and coding . My sister is a graduate of UMA she finished pharmacy technician program in 2015 and she started off making 12$ an hour but is now currently working for a call center at 16$ hourly .I have faith in this school because I have seen real results but you have to do everything they tell you or you will get screwed.

Uma is horrible. Repetitive phone calls... I graduated and they said they would help find a Job but all the jobs they find are bogus.... One job they found didnt want to pay the uma students... They lie to u and come up with bogus ass stories... They laugh at u over the phone... Im so damn disgusted I wish I never attended this school!

Most unprofessional advisors I have ever dealt with in my whole college experience. I never had to argue and come out of my character for any school officials or advisors until attending this school.

I chose this school because they promised life time career services. What a joke. I graduated in April of 2013. Since graduation I have been passed between about a half a dozen career services advisors. I obtained one job that lasted a week with their assistance. I have gone months on end without any contact from my advisor. Once they have your money they dont give a rats ass about you.
