These guys are fantastic with kids! My 7 year old is completely into it and looks forward to her practices. I really love how many girls are involved, my daughter doesnt feel uncomfortable at all.

I have waited for over 2 months before making up my mind about this place. My daughters smile every time we leave a class has made my decision for me. My daughter has done a complete 180 in her self esteem and confidence. The Moreno Familia has genuinely brought out the Best in her in a very short time. She started out and continues to be a very shy and meek young lady, but in class she is learning to find her voice. She not only looks forward to going to class, she comes home and puts what is taught in class into her everyday life. Yes Sir, Yes Maam, No Sir and No Maam WOW!!! I love training here, the instructors are great at what they do. Very informative. They make you feel like family.

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT with these people!!! My daughter tried two classes, it was not for her, it also did not fit in with our work schedule, my husband didnt want her to continue and they were absolutely unbending about wanting their money. Roughly 2000.00. They do not care about the client . We met with them and explained our situation. They do not care and now, after going through a divorce, struggling financially for over a year and finally getting to a good place, they are sending this to collections. I would never recommend this place to anyone and would take my business elsewhere.

Great training facility and a great family that owns/operates it. After I watched my 4 year old in Karate and Jiu Jitsu, I decided to start Jiu Jitsu myself at TXBBA Cleburne. Yes, there is a contract here, but you can try a free class first if you want. Regardless of the martial arts form you choose, you have to show up, have discipline and persevere to be successful, and I believe having a contract just reinforces that - so dont take it as a negative. If you are on the fence about training here, personally, or having your child train here - try the next class.

We have loved classes for our 4 year old so far! Everyone is very professional and respect is such a huge factor. Our son is already learned so much not just in his lessons about karate and BJJ but listening and respect. We are excited for this new adventure! Yes, you have to sign a contract tract and make a commitment. We read the fine print and understood we were committing to 16 months. We have used this as a way to teach our son responsibility and commitment.

I want to counter some of the negative reviews. Yes, its expensive, until you end up going to all of the classes you can in a week, when its about $5 per class.Yes, theres a contract. While there are some specific outs to the contract, there is a trial period. What Ive noticed though is that most kids who dont like it at the start grow into it as they learn to persevere.No, its not karate, its martial arts. Its a great synthesis of TKD, Karate, Kendo, and others. For the under 13 classes, the goal is to teach life lessons integrated with martial arts thinking. Perseverance and punches. Thought processes and technique. Respect, confidence, attitude, all while gaining muscle control and muscle memory.Then, as teens and adults (or once they have their kids black belt) they learn the real martial arts. As a beginner, or intermediate belt, they push the student forward, encouraging them to progress through belt tests. As they hit the higher ranks though, that changes and they really get pushed. Its not pay to play, its pay to see growth, because an 8 year old will give up if theyre stuck at gold belt because their stance isnt good enough.My son has been here for 2 years now, my daughter for one, myself for 9 months in adult karate and cardio kickboxing.

Don’t waste your money not real Karate or Jujitsu. They charge you $60 for belt test and they tell you they are ready to test just buy how many times they show up not if they are really ready or not. They force you to by different uniforms for different classes and the patches that they require to belt test they also charge you for but don’t tell you about up front. Our son wanted to stop so he could concentrate on baseball. They try to rope you in to contracts that you can get out of and when you try they threaten to send you to collections. Would definitely make sure you read the fine print before you sign up. It’s just a money making joke. But good job getting one over on us.

Awesome environment, great energy, great people, and most importantly our son LOVES the TXBBA family. He is 9 yrs old and we have seen a big change in him in such little time.

We love taking our son to Texas Black Belt Academy. Peter is very patient and kind. And our son LOVES it there also. When our youngest gets a little bit older, she will be going also. Thank you guys for what you do for our child. I have never seen him focus like he does with you.

My experience at TXBBA Cleburne has been awesome! The instructors are great. Good family friendly environment. A lot of good people in the classes. Would recommend for any females looking to get a good workout in or learn self defense :)

Becareful signing up and signing contracts that they dont really go into detail about. Because if you decide to pull out of it, and dont pull out in time you will still owe them money even though you are not attending or dont want to attend and THEY DONT CARE!.They are out to get your money. If you dont pay they will sell your account and send it into collections.

I could never possibly find the words to truly express what an amazing impact TxBBA Cleburne has had on my son and family. Though young he struggled with self esteem issues and depression. We were lost and had read dozens of books and spoken to several drs. In a last attempt I signed him up for karate. Best decision. Ever! The instructors are truly God sent! They were exactly what he needed. They are supportive and patient beyond comprehension. He is smiling and laughing and Confident everyday. I highly recommend TXBBA Cleburne to ANYONE co soldering martial arts. You couldnt possibly find better!
