They had a mini show at the end of the week for parents to attend to see the skills the child had developed throughout the week; it was great. They have amazing horses as well as other farm animals. I am writing this review for the sole purpose of letting others know the few bad reviews on here are completely bogus. This was my first visit ever; found it on google actually. I drove 40 minutes. No one answered the phone when I tried contacting them, and considering I have a brain in my head, I understand why it is that way. This isn’t a coporate office y’all, it’s a ranch/mini farm per say, the owners/volunteers aren’t sitting on their bums, they are out n about with these horses and animals, TAKING AMAZING CARE OF THEM.It takes a team to help rescue animals, and yes, that includes all of us visitors considering word of mouth can ruin a place in the blink of an eye!!!Everyone was extremely kind and happily answered all of my questions.I never post reviews, but I felt the need to in this case to just say... I felt very welcomed, it’s for a good cause, the horses are sweet and seem so happy along with the other random animals.Stop by here, you won’t regret it!Thank you dream catcher ranch, my 3 year old had the best time and I still hear the joy in her voice.Planning on signing her up for learning lessons, and telling everyone about this hidden gem.I will be back, again, again and again!

I am extremely disappointed in how the owner and volunteers have treated my father! He has not only adopted a horse but also volunteered. And to be treated with such disrespect is unacceptable. You all should be a shamed of yourselves. I sincerely hope and pray that you learn from this experience and learn to treat people with kindness.Response to owner: My review still stands. It makes no difference wether or not he adopted... he provided help for these beautiful animals. And When someone sticks out their hand to greet you, as an owner you must show the same courtesy and him asking you “aren’t you going to shake my hand” is not aggressive but asking for mutual respect... and yelling at a volunteer to not use a piece of equipment that he was instructed to use by your management Is not okay... Your job as an owner includes many things as well as introducing oneself to another... my father had know idea who you were and he most likely mistook you for another volunteer. You were not only rude but you did not have the common decency to introduce yourself, That is your error in judgement. I’m sorry you felt the need to say these things about my dad which are just not accurate, and yes, he told me that he had meetings with the staff to Better understand how it works around your rescue but that has been reconciled... And bringing my mother into this review is a line you should have never crossed. It’s not only morally repugnant but manipulative at best.

We absolutely LOVE this rescue. We have been out several times now. Every single person we have met there has been the kindest people you could hope to meet. These are the kind of people that walk the walk... they genuinely care about these horses and it shows. You can take any of their horses, walk them through pastures full of other horses, no reaction at all... from any of them... the animals are calm, respectful, relaxed, HAPPY. I have volunteered a little and also have two horses from them here at my farm. I have nothing but love and respect for this rescue and the hard work they do to step up when people have let these beautiful horses down. You guys are doing a GREAT thing. I wish we could volunteer more! Its a goal for sure. With 7 of my own, time gets scarce, but your mission is supported with us! I went to dream catchers a long time ago. I volunteered for a short period of time or more so a longer period time I should say. I was so happy theyre volunteering I had a great time and it was amazing for a while. But the other volunteers who were younger than me didnt seem to take a liking towards me. As the owner and I seem to be getting along fine. The other volunteers who at the time owned horses on the ranch. Started saying false accusations about me to the owner. Who from there on despite my good reputation of hard work and decent riding. Asked me to leave the ranch. I was devastated and still am devastated with this complete negligence to my feelings. It deeply scarred me and hurt you know a place where I was enjoying myself so much and having such a great experience would just turn it back on me like that. Although this is a personal experience I will say the lessons are decent to say the most and the people some of them are beyond the most friendly will ever meet. Thats all I have to say

I looked at over 30 facilities in Orlando and the surrounding areas before realizing that DreamCatcher was the place I wanted my rescued horse to live, be cared for and loved. I have been with DreamCatcher now for almost two years and every day I am grateful I found the ranch. Not only is my girl well taken care of but DreamCatcher rescues, rehabilitates and heals many, many neglected, abused and lonely horses. DreamCatcher also trains the rescues that are able to be valuable members of the ranch while bringing much joy to both children and adults. Through DreamCatcher’s riding lessons, trail rides, camps, Horse Clubs and other riding programs the rehabilitated horses are given a purpose and a job which besides the love, kisses and treats they absolutely love! Please help DreamCatcher rescue more of our equine friends in need and give them a second chance.Come out and see some of the before and after pictures of the rehabilitated horses….you will be amazed! Then meet some of them and you will see they are well cared for and very happy! Then, take a ride! Thank you DreamCatcher for all you do!

Absolutely phenomenal day at DreamCatcher Horse Ranch. I am by no stretch a trained rider, but Ive ridden on multiple occasions. The folks at DreamCatcher were hands down the nicest, most welcoming ranch staff Ive ever met. I truly enjoyed my ride on Tommy, which was a Mothers Day gift from my daughter. She rode Mystic. Both horses were fantastic and Alison, the owner, who rode behind me shared a lot of great info about the horses and the ranch itself. After our ride, which was truly lovely ... took us through a wooded area, down to a lake and then the horses walked us through the lake as well ... we were able to feed the horses carrots and apples that we brought with us, as well as feed supplied by the ranch. It was a wonderful experience, and we even got my 3-year old granddaughter to take her first pony ride. All-in-all a fantastic day and I would highly recommend visiting and supporting this ranch and rescue.

Taking my granddaughter to this facility in a couple of days and have just finished reading the reviews. I have worked in non-profits for a number of years so understand the problems. However, I am curious about knowing what has changed with this facility in the last couple of years. The reviews certainly have changed. Ill make sure to write one after I return next week.Dont be too harsh regarding teenagers doing a lot of the work. If you have ever owned a horse, you know how much work is involved. Just multiple your situation by the number of horses at the rescue and the fact that many individuals are volunteers. It seems to be a win-win situation. The rescue receives help and the teenagers can put their volunteer hours on college application forms. Many colleges now require applicants to have volunteered prior to being accepted. If you question what is happening to the money, there is a website that allows you to view the IRS papers of every non-profit in the US. BTW Have you ever figured out how much money is costs to feed, shelter, maintain and provide medical services for a horse? It is not cheap.PS I cannot give it a star rating so will be neutral, at this time.I went to the ranch and rescue center today. I was very pleased with the volunteers and Ally. My granddaughter had a fantastic time and talked about it the entire trip back home - over an hour. We toured the facility meeting the horses, chickens and very friendly goats.I will be returning in the future and I highly recommend the ranch to anyone.

Unfortunately it seems our society has become too quick to judge others negatively because things did not go the way they expected. We do not live in a perfect world; if we did we wouldn’t need rescues such as Dreamcatcher ranch. My daughter and I volunteer on a regular basis at the ranch. We have been there for about 2 years. I have been involved with horses most of my life. The horses at the ranch are well cared for. We love it there and so do the horses. Everyone at the ranch has the same goal and that is to give back the health and dignity these majestic animals have lost to either unforeseen circumstances or just pure neglect. We are lucky to have such a facility that graciously takes these animals in and rehabilitates them back to health. No one should compare this ranch to other “barns”, as this is not your usual horse barn. Other barns have all boarders who pay monthly board fees to keep their horses there and to cover the costs of feed, hay, bedding, cleaning stalls. This non-profit facility runs on limited funds and donations and they are doing a great job. The children who come for lessons, pony rides and/or birthday parties have a blast. So make sure you compare apples to apples. The volunteers are there because they want to help the horses and the ranch. I believe it is good for these kids to volunteer their time without expecting anything in return. They love the horses and the horses love them. The owners work around the clock mending fences, fixing broken water pipes, cleaning out water tubs in the paddocks, putting out large round bales of hay in the paddocks, scheduling lessons, pony rides, birthday parties, etc. They put their hearts and souls into the ranch. It is a lot of hard work to run a ranch, so don’t be too quick to judge. In fact, just contact the owner and schedule a day to come out and see what goes on “behind the scenes” at the ranch. I’m always there on the weekends in the afternoons, so I would be more than happy to show you what we do and what it takes to care for these wonderful horses.

OK, so I have been reading all the negative comments and truly most of them are just nick -picking.Dream-catcher Horse Ranch and Rescue..most seem to forget the Rescue Part. DCHRR does not pretend to be anything other than what it is. A sanctuary for animals and people. Not a high falutin dressage or H/J or eventing barn. There are no pretenses and no arrogant know it alls. The main concern is the horse and the welfare of the horse. The kids who come here are happy and safe. As a rider we never stop learning, no matter what discipline, no matter what level. Even the riders of Grand Prix events are still taking lessons. I am so tired of horse people cutting down other horse people. It makes you look small. Put yourself in the shoes of the person you criticize. Go rescue a horse or 2 from the auctions and get an understanding of how much is involved to retrain and make these horses, most of which have been abused or mishandled, trust again. All of the horses at Dream-catcher Ranch & Rescue are safe to be around and even if they do not all show in upper levels of dressage or jumping, they are worth their weight in gold. And who do you think made them that way?? It takes effort and dedication to be a rescue. So kindly, do your research before you accuse.

I love DreamCatcher Horse Ranch and Rescue! I have been going there faithfully for almost 6 yrs. now. When I discovered DreamCatcher, my dream came true, as well. I just swell with pride to be a part of this fine rescue. The hard work, and compassion the Wheatleys provide for these horses, is immeasurable. Ive witnessed some amazing accomplishments. If you could just see the shape some of these neglected horses are in when they arrive, and step off that horse trailer, it would make you gasp. Within months, DreamCatcher and staff, nurse them back to health with lots of vet care, quality food and hay, and of course, lots and lots of love. You can see the relief in the horses eyes. Please take the time to visit the ranch, read the stories about the horses, meet them, attend some of the many functions and services DreamCatcher has to offer. ALL proceeds go back into the care of the animals. Put this on your list of things to do. Youll be glad you did, and I bet there will be at least one certain horse, who will steal your heart. You will fall in love, like I did. I have that certain, special horse there, that stole my heart, more than 5 yrs. ago. I am thankful. I wouldnt change a thing about DreamCatcher. They make dreams come true for horses and humans, alike. Thank you, DreamCatcher for helping these horses regain their trust, confidence, and giving them another chance and a purpose. We love you!

I would like to respond to the negative comments below - First to Van - i always answer my phone unless i am on another call or am busy with a client or horse and always return messages left, every day from 8am until 10pm 7 days a week. i also am available by text and email through the website contact sheet. I can only assume you didnt think to leave a message which is a shame as i would have been happy to honor your coupon if it hadnt expired.secondly, Leoraul - im sorry you felt you didnt have a good experience even though you say your daughter enjoyed it. i would like to offer you a free barn tour if you contact me and then if you feel different perhaps you could kindly write a new review?John - im really shocked you believe we give minimal care - our horses are fed twice daily with top quality feed, stalls are cleaned daily when we turn the horses out - they all have fans in their stalls and are groomed daily. and as for pocketing cash - thats ridiculous! all the income we get is spent on feed, hay and vet bills and farrier care. as a 501(c) 3 non profit our financial information is available to the public. its very expensive to feed and care for these horses properly and most people dont realize the expense involved and yes- we do have volunteers that help out - and they are all well trained handlers and riders..we also have staff we pay to train and feed. Finally Sven - i think you must have been at the wrong barn as our stalls are definitely not cramped or filthy! our stalls are either 12 x 12 or 12 x14 ft. the horses are only in them half a day and then turned out. the stalls are cleaned out daily when we turn the horses out.i would also like to say i run this horse rescue as i am very passionate about horses in need. they are my family members. i do the best i can with the limited funds and resources available. we have no help from the state and very little in grants. i keep the rescue financially stable by providing a safe and fun and educational facility for families and people of all ages to enjoy. in a perfect world i would like to ensure everyone has a wonderful experience when they visit but of course thats not always possible. i do know however that the horses we have helped over the years are very happy they had a chance to get out of bad situations and recover from near death in some cases and i would like to be able to continue doing this for the horses until the day i die.so anyone reading the reviews- please come check us out for yourself!

A very unprofessional and poorly run stable. The stalls are cramped and filthy. The welfare of the horses and animals seems to be secondary. Disappointing!!!!!!

We have one of their ex clients who in my opinion was really taken advantage of for the purchase of their new horse from this facility. The horse is completely lame with no hope of recovery. The injury is old and everybody knew
