Excellent school. With each grade broken out into 3 levels so that kids could learn at their pace. The highest level “ The Kaleidoscope Program” was two grade levels above which means that 8th graders in Kaleidoscope were working on 10th grade work.Kids wear uniforms. Catholic school and education incorporated into daily life for students. Covers pk4 - 8th grade. Very satisfied with the level of parental involvement allowed. Teachers and parents work as a team to ensure best results for student.

The teachers and staff at St. Philip are amazing! I am sure that this past school year was not easy to pull off but they managed to keep everyone safe without compromising the high quality of education. My daughter completed Kindergarten and my son completed 6th grade. It is very rare that a school genuinely cares for their students and communicates with parents. I am so grateful for everything they did!

This school is not what it all seems to be. The principal is rude nasty and disrespectful. All they care about is payment, during COVID-19 they still wanted full payment and the kids were not even in school. The gym teacher is old and time to retire to teach kindergarten to eighth graders of full activity upbeat experience of gym class. The school has no sports team no football no baseball no cheerleading not directly from the school. Save your money and go to a good public school system that will bring your students/kids further. Also they don’t have Substitute teachers they will bring in a class helper to work a classroom if the teachers are absent. There is nothing over the top with the teachers or the school personally I found to see that the school has an illusion of a blue ribbon school but once you’re in there it’s downhill.

This school is not as good as it used to be. There are way too many problems not being addressed properly. Between the students being extremely disrespectful and then the teachers! This school has gone downhill these last few years. It does not even deserve the blue ribbon. I would recommend taking further thought into sending your children here. Moving my daughter to another school was the best choice I’ve made.

My kid goes to this school. You cant get in without being buzzed in. Catholic schools in the area are closing one after the other, but this one remains very strong. It is well supported by the church and the parishioners of St. Philip. The parents, and most of the time the grandparents, are active participants in the school. The teachers and the staff do a great job of guiding and educating the children. The school had an overnight fire early in the year that caused plenty of damage that completely shut the facilities down. Old outdated miles and miles of wiring needs to be replaced to be up to code, and phone lines were temporarily rerouted. The kids were home schooled for 2 weeks and the parents and the teachers did a great job of educating the kids. After that the kids were back to school in 2 locations while the buildings were getting repaired up to code. Theyre back to their original classrooms in 2 months!Say what you will, but my child is very happy to go to this school. Loves the school, the teachers and classmates...** one more thing - This school normally has a small registration window, even for returning students. 2018 - new student registration window was even smaller due to the fire and all that came with it. At least 2 catholic schools closed down in the area and there was a mad dash to register new students for very few available spots in the first place. A few years ago a parent (an alumni) missed the early registration window for their returning kid, and the spot was snagged by a new student as soon as they opened regular registration. Max 25 kids per section, 2 sections per grade. Thats it. If someone is told to wait to register til next year, that means that particular grade is fully booked

I went to this school for middle school. As years went by I realized how the school had gone down hill. I was bullied there a couple of times and the principal would care for one day and not really enforce their policies if broken. The 8th grade teaches were two of the best home room teachers Ive met. They are very kind and helpful. They enforce the lessons until you learn them well enough. Most of the teachers are great there. And I believe at this school the rules should be enforced more. This school did though prep me for highschool because I was able to get into the high schools I wanted to go to. That is all I have to say. Also Latin class is mandatory in the middle school. They say it is good for grammer but we all know that is a lie. The classroom is like a war zone. Things are being thrown around. Kids are yelling. The teacher is very old and I doesnt pay attention and allows for the class to get out of hand. She would go as far as to only teach a small percentage of the class so they can pass and the others to fail. I am not sure why she has not been fire but it beats me. I would not suggest allowing your child to attend this school because I experienced the chaos first hand.

The school used to be really good..now it is no better than a mediocre public school. Bullying is swept under the rug, rules are not enforced and the quality of teachers is in no way the standard you would or should expect from a private school.

Hello, I recently came across your school, while arriving it was obvious there was no security at this facility, I could just waltz in the door! Once in, no one asked for my identification and there was no one at the front desk. I had to walk around the school to find an employee, keep in mind this was during school hours. When I do find an employee they were very very rude and harsh towards me... I asked them if there was a secretary that I could speak too, he then pointed towards the office and told me to go that way. So I did and there was still no one there. I also was observing that there were students roaming the halls when clearly they weren’t supposed to be. I also saw students being very obnoxious and disrespectful... when someone finally came to the desk they greeted me with a “what?” And then when I asked them about student resistration she told me to wait until next year... when I asked for more information she said visit the website. I then left and hope to never return. I highly do NOT reccomend that you do not bring your children to this school, it is possibly the worst school I have ever reviewed! Sorry that this was a heated comment but honestly it was deserved.

Our daughter attended this school for 6 years – the school has major problems with bullying and the school refuses to address the issues. Ask around before sending your child there. Many parents have left the school recently due to the issues with teachers, students, bullying and academics.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand st.philip prep. The school is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical persons head. There’s also the principals nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation. her personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The students understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these quotes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike st. philip prep truly ARE silly geese. - of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in the schools existential catchphrase “good better best which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as the schools genius wit unfolds itself on their eyes. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂And yes, by the way, i DO have a st. philip prep tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎and remember kids, im the globglogabgalab and I LOVE B O O K S
