The best and only place I would consider training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The Instruction is thorough and detailed in a way that all students have a great understanding on the material being taught. Classes have a range of different people from beginner to experienced competitors. Everyone is super friendly and cool. Kids class is amazing too, producing a plethora of young champions. The kids program is great and I would recommend to anyone with a son or daughter! Every class you or your child will learn something new and have fun doing it.

I have trained at Bones BJJ with Devhonte for the last 3 years. From the first day I walked into the academy, Devhonte and the rest of the students were extremely welcoming. It felt like home right away, which meant a lot to me because I had been at my last academy for almost over 6 years before I moved to New Jersey. Ive been trained in various martial art disciplines for 30 years. For the last few years I have trained exclusively in BJJ. Given the time Ive spent in the arts, I have come across many schools and instructors. Hands down Devhante Bones Johnson (owner/head instructor) sits at the top with the best. He is very knowledgeable, easy to understand and very very technical. The facility is very clean and more importantly very friendly. Everyone is treated with respect and made comfortable regardless of skill level. Higher ranks help and train with new students and lower belts. This is not common in the industry. If you are looking for a place in NJ to learn high level BJJ in a quality environment under the direction of a world champion, Bones BJJ is the place to go. Devhonte is a world champion coming out of paterson and is currently making more world champions in his school. He has the best kids team in the whole east coast, facility is always kept clean and all students are very friendly. Great place to be if you are new to the sport or if you have a desire of becoming a world champion.

I love the atmosphere and everyone is very welcoming. Great place as a beginner in jiujitsu or if you have experience. The instructors are great teachers. You wouldn’t be part of just a community but a jiujitsu family.
