The Cadence team is like second family for us. Having a place you can trust, rely on and know your kiddos are cared for like at home is truly a blessing. The staff is always professional and they take pride in my kids education every step of the way. We love Cadence! Highly recommend!!

With a three year old who has an October birthday, we had to be extra diligent about finding just the right “school” - since he will have an extra year of Pre-K. (Goodie!) We toured, interviewed, and researched over a dozen options before falling in love with Cadence | Heartland.Transferring from a Phoenix Montessori, we were looking for structured, exploration and care for self environment that not only fostered independence but demanded respect and empathy toward others. During initial meetings, leadership (Crystal and Darci) confirmed our expectations would be met and boy were they right!We are continually impressed by the attention to detail in the PreK classroom. Mrs. Monica, a veteran teacher, has high expectations and, while encouraging play and fun, runs a tight ship. So has taught our son to become a leader, polite and communicative, and get in-check with his behaviors….all while teaching the foundations of general academic curriculum. It’s also important to mention that before moving to the PreK classroom, Ms. T (preschool teacher) prepared him by honing in on his strengths, giving him responsibilities, and most importantly making learning fun!Outside of being our sons advocate - school choice to us is about finding a place that our children feel loved, safe, and excited to attend. Cadence is all of this and more.One final note: Cadence also has great attendance options. Most of the “pre” schools in the area offer part time at 2-3 days a week for 3-or-so hours. Forgive me, but that’s enough time for him to poop on the school potty and come home. Here, our son can go daily for 5hrs - receiving uninterrupted time at school, inclusive of various activities (centers, whole group, recess, etc) and then nap at home.

Our son has gone here since he was 4 months old, and we absolutely love it. The teachers are great with the kids, keeping them entertained with lessons and activities. They keep the parents updated on the daily activities as well. Darci and Crystal are amazing, very friendly and always helpful. We are sadly moving away and praying we find a daycare as great as this place.

Excellent daycare in the entire IOWA for sure. Everyone is great at this facility. Ms Crystal, Darci and Karla were our favorite. They all took great care of our 2 boys. I highly recommend this Heartland location at 14300 Hickman Rd!

Our son started Cadence (Then Apple Tree) at age 2 and quickly fell in love. He even reaches for his teachers (he doesnt like most people). I love the updates throughout his time there and the fun pictures of his activities. They are always sending home art and projects and there is constantly a fun activity on the calendar. They really do care about the children there.

There is nothing more difficult then sending your newborn baby to daycare, but Cadence Academy makes it easier. My eyes fill with tears as I write this thinking of all the memories my daughter has at the Cadence Academy on Hickman in Clive. Every single teacher my daughter has had in the newborn and infant room has treated her with kindness, patience, and a smile. My daughter beams with joy everyday when we pick her up. Darci and Crystal are directors who truly care about every single child who attends. They also care about their teachers and treat them with respect. At this Cadence Academy, they have planned out lessons and activities. There are sensory lessons and themed days throughout the week. They also align story time with activities that help students learn more about the book. My 14 month old already knows some of her colors and several letter sounds. They treat small children as individuals who are ready to learn and grow. This is the most critical time for children to learn and the teachers at Cadence recognize that and use everyday as an opportunity for children to learn with play. Teachers update you on your childs schedule throughout the day using an app and they also communicate well with you when you pick up your child. They truly care about my child and communicate with me about everything that happened during the day. I cant express how grateful I am and how much the Cadence on Hickman has meant to our family in the last year. I am a teacher myself and I can truly say this is the best childcare for your child. We were new to the city and needed daycare for our 3 yr old. Without having a network of friends we researched on our own and decided on Cadence Academy. We are very pleased with our decision and would recommend it to others. Our daughters growth has been wonderful and the staff is fantastic.

Teachers and the directors are very caring, loving, and really want the best for your child. They allow parents to help out in the classroom if you have time, and the expertise of the teachers there really shines! 5 stars for sure!

We have only been at Cadence academy for a few months, but it already feels like home. The entire staff is warm and welcoming, and you can tell the teachers really care about your childs personal experience and progression through the curriculum. Our 3 year old had a few rough weeks at drop-off when transitioning from her old daycare, and the staff and teachers really made an extra effort to make her feel at home and to give us assurance around how she was doing throughout the day. So far so good!

We moved our 2 year old to Apple Tree 2 months ago. We were looking for better opportunities for her to develop. Our transition was smooth and our daughter loves it here.She interacts with several teachers On a daily basis. The ratio of student/teacher was very important to us. Ive never witnessed a time it wasnt met. The teachers are always interacting with the kids and they want to be there. Every morning when I drop off, no matter what time or who the teacher is they are engaged and doing activities with the kids.Our daughters speech has improved so much in 2 months. Shes come home with more artwork in 2 months than our old daycare provided in a year. The Fathers Day picture they made for me will be a fixture on my desk as long as I live.Its clean and the staff are great. I could go on and on...we love it here.

Our experience at Cadence has been great! The teachers have been super friendly and professional and truly care about the kids. Both of my children have excelled, both academically and socially, while at Cadence. The teachers and staff at Cadence are number one and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for daycare and preschool services.

Wonderful, caring teachers, a responsive director, and fun, educational daily curriculum! Leaving your infant is difficult - Apple Tree made it so much easier. The director, Crystal, runs a great center. She takes pride in her work and her staff, and demonstrates how much she cares for the kids daily. Darci, the assistant director, started out as the lead infant teacher. She is amazing - responsible, knowledgeable, and so loving. Maggie, my daughters main teacher, is fantastic. She notices little changes in my daughter and cares about her development. I know my little girl receives the best possible care when she is away from me. I love reading about her day on the daily communication sheets, and I love how her little face lights up when she sees her teachers. She truly loves them. Thank you, Apple Tree, for being such an important part of our daughters first year of life!

My son goes to this school and I’ve notice a great amount of skills that he’s gained. He’s grown with being independent! He’s turning 1 and leaving my son in the care of the teachers make it easier to go to work! I recommend this school to anyone!

We love Apple Tree and all of the teachers and staff. Both of our kids attend. I travel for work and I dont worry while Im away because I know the teachers are amazing and the kids are having a great time. We are super impressed with how much our toddler knows. The Teachers and Staff at Apple Tree in Clive Iowa, are the BEST! They treat every child as if they were part of their own family. My granddaughter has thrived since she started attending Apple Tree! Her daily response to How was your day? is It was great!. Learning and development is their top priority not only in education, but social skills as well. The facility is always immaculate. My son was enrolled there 20 years ago. I was happy with his experience then as I am happy with my granddaughters experience now. She could not be in better hands!

The quality of care and education that my child is receiving continually goes above and beyond my expectations. I could not ask for a better group of teachers and caregivers. The curriculum is very carefully considered and varies week to week. My son is learning by leaps and bounds, which is creating a strong foundation and enthusiasm for his education. We are so grateful for the care our daughter received at Apple Tree. Crystal and Darci run an extremely high quality program. Crystal clearly takes pride in her work, and is so knowledgeable about each kid and teacher. Darci is everything you would want in someone in child care - loving, cool under pressure, and smart. Maggie, our daughters main teacher, did a fantastic job taking care of our daughter, teaching her, and noticing every little change. When our daughter would see Maggie or Darci, she would dive into their arms! Every teacher we met was fantastic. We never felt like we were just dropping our daughter off - she was going somewhere she was loved, cared for, and taught. The curriculum was fantastic. Apple Tree does so many fun and educational activities with the kids. We really believe it is the best child care available. We had to move out of state - and have been unable to find care that reaches the level provided by Apple Tree.

Could not be happier with the care both of our kiddos get at Apple Tree. So much more than daycare, we definitely like to call it school even for the littlest of kids. The staff is so passionate and caring towards the care of each individual child and it shows in the classrooms! Apple Tree is great with our kids. I love to read their daily sheets each day to know how they slept, ate and also what they did each day. The activities they do each day sound so fun! The teachers there are awesome. I cannot say enough good things about Maggie who is my daughters newborn teacher - she made my first week back to work manageable :) Also my sons current teachers, Karla and Erin - again cant explain how much easier they make drop off. I truly feel like they love all the kids as much as the parents do. And then Darci the assistant director - she too is the sweetest person and makes drop off easier on me :) I know I just named a few but honestly every single person that works there, they have been nothing but sweet and they all know my kids names even if they dont have them everyday. That says a lot to me as a mom. Dropping my kids off for daycare anywhere was going to be hard but I can honestly say Apple Tree staff has made it as easy as it can be for me and our family. I would highly recommend this center.

We have had kids at Apple Tree for over 9 years. We looked at several places and found that Apple Tree had everything that we were looking for - professional, caring teachers in a safe, fun, learning environment. My kids have always happily run in in the morning and it is usually hard to tear them away from whatever they are doing at the end of day. We have always received great communication from the teachers. All the teachers know all the parents names, even if your child has not been in their class yet. I am very confident of the great care my children receive at Apple Tree.

Our family LOVES Apple Tree. I knew it was the place for us as soon as I stepped in the door. Its so clean and cheery. The infant room is large and organized with plenty of toys. I especially loved the curriculum for the infants. Not only do they play, but they learn music, sign language, textures, painting, stacking, etc.! I have two girls in Apple Tree right now. One is in the toddler room and the other is in the pre-school room. Its amazing what they come home knowing. I remember my 3 year old coming home one day showing me her art and saying Look Mom, this is a pentagon! The school really is great and the teachers are fantastic. The Director and Assistant Director also go out of their way to involve the parents in fun activities like lunches and dinners or treats after school. They also have a parent appreciation week. We love it here!

We love Apple Tree! We were on the wait list for several months, and when we transitioned our two year old son, we quickly saw a positive change in his speech and demeanor. He loves going to school everyday now! The teachers and staff are caring and friendly. It was definitely worth the wait!

We have LOVED our experience with Apple Tree! We transitioned to Apple Tree after some in-home care options didnt fit our family any longer. Everyone greets us with a smile and enthusiasm when we walk through the door (from the Director and Assistant Director to the support team and of course their teachers too). When our children have transitioned from one room to the next the teachers have done a great job making the change easy on all of us. You can tell the staff is invested in the children they care for and they enjoy what they do. They have taken the time to get to know our kids and are committed to helping them learn and grow. As a mom, I have such peace in my heart when I drop off the kids and they are smiling, and I pick them up and they are still wearing that same smile!! We are so thankful we found Apple Tree!

I’m so fortunate to have the best teachers to help my children as well as others grow and learn here at Apple Tree Children’s Center. Monica and Karla helped prepare all of my children for their future and given that my kids are now 20, 16 and 9 years of age I can say they were successful. It is a wonderful honor to be a part of such a successful program.

I have enjoyed my experience working for Apple tree. I have experience from other centers, but Apple tree is far superior to any prior employment. Right away I could see the difference and how crystal and all the staff truly care about providing quality care for your child. The most fulfilling part of my job is of course the bonds I form with the children, as well as with their families. We strive to create a fun, safe and family like environment for your child to learn and develop and Im happy and grateful to be a part of that.

We absolutely love Apple Tree and have seen our son thrive here. We have been taking him here since he was 3 months old (now hes over a year) and cannot imagine taking him anywhere else. The staff is very hands on and all about education, development, and fun. We always get a detailed report every day of how his day went and what activities they did. I like how the place is always secure, clean, and by the book when it comes to ratio of staffing and operating a quality facility that is educationally accredited. The staff is so friendly and my son seriously LOVES his teachers, he reaches for them as soon as I walk in the door!

We love taking our kids here. We have had a great experience with both the teachers and staff. It is more than just a daycare! We even call it school for our 3 year old. He will be well prepared for kindergarten!

My daughter works for this company. I am proud to see how much my daughter has learned and matured since working under the supervision of Crystal! The company has been very flexible and always follows through with their promises towards employees. My favorite is that we get invited to parent events such as trunk or treat where my husband and I get to take the grand-kids to! Apple Tree - Clive center is hands-down the best daycare in the DSM area. Weve had all three of our children attend daycare here and had wonderful experiences with each child. Our two youngest started at two months, so we have had the opportunity to get to know many of the teachers at Apple Tree. The Clive center staff is top-notch, led by Crystal, the center Director. Crystal goes above and beyond to get to know each of the families and creates a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment. Darci is the Assistant Director, has been at Apple Tree for many years, and was the infant room lead previously.We have always felt each teacher we have had the opportunity to get to know really wanted to make the very best experience for both of our young girls AND us as parents. Ms. Darci was so helpful and reassuring when I was struggling with going back to work and leaving my oldest daughter. She was so caring and wanted to understand my daughters schedules at home and later, my desire to send homemade baby food, etc. I was overjoyed and impressed at the entire transition experience to daycare. Ms. Maggie made such a positive impact on all three of my children that they love to visit her and give her hugs, even though she is not their teacher today. Ms. Shannon has been instrumental in helping my daughter with her potty-training. Ms. Bailey taught my daughter so many songs in the two year old room that she still sings them a year later.The overall curriculum is fun for the kids and there are many opportunities for families to get involved, like Trunk or Treat at Halloween, princess parties, family nights, and many craft activities. Each of the teachers keep detailed sheets of our childs day, so we know instantly how long a nap was that day, how potty-training went, or what they ate for lunch. We love being part of the Apple Tree - Clive family!

Roughly 5 years ago, I started looking for Childcare providers. After visiting several other Centers I stumbled across Apple Tree. During the initial tour, I knew this was the place for my child, everyone there was so accepting and welcoming, staff members took time during that visit to answer all my questions and just let me observe the rooms (unlike some other Centers I visited). Knowing that my children would have to be in a Center for 40 plus hours, while my husband and I worked scared me and I wanted the best Center, and I believe that Apple Tree Childrens Center in Clive is the best. The staff are exceptional, nurturing, educated, responsive and the list goes on. Each day I look forward to picking up my children and hearing about their day from them and their Teachers. The staff does and excellent job, providing a detailed overview of my childrens day.

My granddaughter started going to Apple Tree when she was 6 months old and shes 2 now. I have always been pleased with her development and owe a huge part of that to the staff at Apple Tree. Not only did she receive high standard of care during the day, but that care continued at home. Her mommy was employed there and still applies the same level of care today.

We love and appreciate the very personal care we receive from the infant room all the way through pre-school. The teachers do a great job working with the parents of babies/toddlers, and in the older classrooms, preparing the kids for kindergarten. I feel each teacher really gets to know the child and the parents. I cant imagine anyone else caring for my children!

Environment Day Care has been the Day Care for my granddaughter Millie for the last three years. In the wonderful Apple Tree Childrens Center she has thrived in her learning, enjoyed how to share with others, and looks forward to going to the Apple Tree each and every day..Each time I visit I see the care, and understanding given to each and every child.The staff is attentive to each and every child. We love Apple Tree! They do such a great job with our infant and we always feel good about dropping her off and leaving her with the great folks there. They also do a great job with promoting motor skills development in infants and scheduling fun activities (like painting, etc.) for the kids. They also have weekly lesson plans that they post in the room that they try to keep current (i.e. State Fair activities during the State Fair).

We made the switch to Apple Tree when our son was 16 months and could not be more thrilled with our experience. As only a part-timer (2 and 3 days a week), we werent sure how much of a routine he could really get into, how much hed be able to bond with his classmates and teachers, and if there would be tears on a regular basis. This couldnt have been further from reality! Just this morning, I dropped my son off, and he led the way down the hall to his classroom, and ran to his teacher for a hug, turned to me with a grin and a bye Mama!. Ill take feeling second string any day if it means I know hes this comfortable ;) The communication is fantastic - I know what he ate each day, a few details about his activities, how long he napped, etc, so we can make a smooth transition into our evening routine at home. I tell anyone who will listen how much we love his environment, his teachers, his curriculum, and how much HE loves to go there!

We have only been at Apple Tree for a short time but really like the center. We know our kids are safe and healthy while there are there. They do a lot of art projects which my kids love! Also, the assistant director is fabulous!

We have sent all 3 of our children through the Apple Tree location in Clive, Iowa and have had the best experience. If we had another child (which we will not), we would send them there as well. The staff is great. Very knowledgeable and caring. It has been a great experience for us and our children.

I have been thrilled with the care my daughters (1 year old and 3 year old) receive at Apple Tree. They are truly excited to go to daycare each day and our oldest cannot say enough good things about her teachers. Crystal / Darci / Apple Tree Team have been a big part of our lives for over five years and the experience was excellent. Here are a couple major takeaways... 1. The environment is warm / inviting and it is obvious your kids are getting real attention. 2. The place is very clean and our kids were never sick. Seriously! 3. Traditional education (ABCs & 123s) and social development are the focus of the overall program.As they say... Hindsight is 20/20. I am happy to say we made the right choice with both of our children.

We LOVE Apple Tree. My daughter attended preschool here and my son has attended since he was 8 weeks old. The director, assistant director and staff are wonderful. I have seen my sons vocabulary and imagination develop due to the wonderful daily curriculum that is used in the classroom. He is learning self-care habits too...we are almost potty-trained! He receives the attention, care and love that we want him to have when we arent with him.As a family with two full-time working parents, it is important that we had a place that was a one stop drop off. Our son is able to participate in an onsite soccer program, computer class and music program. Additionally, he will be able to attend preschool here too. We are so happy with this center and highly recommend it to anyone asking about child care centers in the Des Moines metro area.

We moved our son here (now 18 months) from another center a little over a year ago and the difference is amazing. What puts them at the very top is their staff/teachers. It seems like everyone (including all of the teachers from the other rooms) knew my husbands and Is name almost immediately. They are always doing activities that are above and beyond what a daycare could typically handle. We have already had two parent/teacher conferences where my sons teachers wrote two whole pages of praise and next steps. They have an app (if you wish to use) that keeps you up to date on what they ate, how they slept, photos, and notes about their day or upcoming activities. I really feel their director wakes up every morning and asks okay what can I do to make this place even better and it shows. Its pricey and usually a long waiting list (which is why our son didnt get to start there from the beginning) but it is all worth it to leave your child somewhere the love.

The staff in my grandchildren’s rooms show care and patience when working with children. Learning activities are mixed with a lot of fun.Everyone welcomes this Grandmother to stop by and volunteer!

The Staff at AppleTree are amazing and made the transition of staying home with my newborn to going back to work so much easier, by allowing us to come in and spend time with them and watch interactions with my little one before she went full time! I still keep in contact with several of the staff! Thank you!

I have and will continue to recommend apple tree to others. Would be 5 star if 3T-4T didnt turn over instructors as much. But this is not a major knock against them, as some of the staff have been been there a very long time. We have had 2 of our kids there for 1.5 years. The pre-k program is 5 star, our kids are always eager to go to their pre-k class in the morning.

Our youngest daughter has been at AppleTree for the past year in the pre-K class. I cant say enough about the quality of care and education that she has received. The teachers and staff are terrific and really put together a solid plan to ensure our daughter is not only well taken care of, but also extremely prepared to enter Kindergarten this fall. Highly recommended!

Both my daughters were at Apple Trees in the Des Moines area (Ashworth and then Hickman). They are amazing. I would not trust anyone else with my children at such a young age. They truly care for each and every child and I know that both my girls (soon to be 4 and 7) are as advanced as they are in school because of Apple Tree. They are the best.

I have previously worked at AppleTree for 4 years and it has taught me so much about infants to toddlers to preschoolers.I have worked at other child care centers before AppleTree and not one of them compares to the quality that AppleTree Clive gives to these children and their families. Not only that, but AppleTree strives to be the best they can be and educates their teachers on the importance of teaching young children and the correct way its done.My daughter who will be born soon will stay at home with Grandma and Grandpa, but when she is ready for preschool, Appletree is where I will be sending her because I trust the care and education that AppleTree provides and their service excellence.

All three of my children have attended Apple Tree in Clive over the last several years. The room teachers are great, the environment is warm and welcoming, and we if we have any more kids, they will go here too!
