Working with Professor Applauso was an absolute pleasure! He helped our family translate a large number of documents for Italian citizenship recognition. He is very professional, but also very personable. We especially appreciated the (Very) prompt manner in which he answered each and every email. Our documents were returned in a timely manner and we couldnt have been more pleased with the quality, we are even considering taking his Italian language course in the future!

Not just good quality but a great experience. Don’t know how Prof. Applauso does it but we were understanding Italian and able to have simple conversations at the end of nine weeks. Will definitely be taking additional courses. We are also exposed to Italian life, cooking and history.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Italian cinema class with Dr. Applauso The films were interesting and were presented in Italian with English subtitles. The assignments were in Italian and were always challenging. They including opportunities for extended reading in Italian of background information, writing responses, and learning new vocabulary which was used in the context of the films presented. Dr. Applausos lectures were informative and entertaining. He is an excellent teacher and a great resource for those wishing to become more fluent in Italian. His warm personality and sense of humor contributed to the fun atmosphere of this class.

Caio! Professor Applausos Italian 101 class was...molto bene! I always felt that I could never learn a second language, but this class has given me the confidence and skills to get started! You will also enjoy this class if you just want to learn some basic phrases and have a fun activity each week!Professor Applauso is very friendly and professional and his fun personality makes you feel at ease right away. Each week he mixes in fun Italian culture such as wine, cards, food, and games to make language learning fun. He is also very accommodating of our busy schedules. We were able to meet on ZOOM when we were out of town. This is a wonderful small, truly family run business!My wife and I took this class together. We really enjoyed attending class each week and getting to know our classmates. The classes are small size of 6 - 8 people. You could certainly take this class alone, but if you can grab a friend or family member (or two!) you will all benefit from being able to practice with each other.We are looking forward to continuing our journey in Italian 102! Exploring Contemporary Italian Cinema at Applauso Italian Learning Center was a delight. We viewed films not available in the United States, learning new vocabulary and idioms in a low-pressure, fun atmosphere. Participants of varying levels were all encouraged to write and speak about the films in each class with well-prepared study guides and short lectures. Professor Applauso is good-humored and makes the experience of language learning entirely pleasant.

Professor Applauso (Applauso Italian Learning Center) is wonderful. Even doing online, I love the class and going to be taking my second class in January. I have been working with Nicolino Applauso for the past few years. My first encounters with him were with my high school students. I found him to be an amazing teacher, and we quickly became personal friends.I have been studying Italian since 2000. I went to school in Florence to learn verbs in 2004. While I have become somewhat proficient through immersion, Nicolino has helped me to gain a command of some of the intricacies of Italian grammar. My awareness has increased my ability to communicate with my Italian neighbors. I became an Italian citizen in 2018. I became a resident of Italy in 2019. My wife is now learning Italian from Nicolino.Dr. Applauso’s energetic approach to teaching and learning make his sessions fun. While doing this, he provides rigor in grammar and pronunciation. All this said, I recommend his learning center to anyone who is serious about learning the Italian language.

I have been trying to learn Italian for years. Ive tried Duo, Babbel and even a few Italian 101 classes but nothing seemed to work for me until I took Italian 101 with the Applauso Italian Learning Center. The classes are fun and well structured. Each class builds on the next. The class has given me enough confidence to practice speaking Italian with my cousin who lives in Rome. Grazie Applauso Italian Learning Center! Can’t say enough great things about this course. I was curious about how well the class would work out being taught online, but I should not have worried. The class is very interactive and our amazing instructor, Dr. Annalinda Iacoviello, uses break-out rooms, video clips, online white boards, and more. The time in class speeds past because it’s so engaging and interesting. Dr. Iacoviello is patient, friendly, and great at explaining. Dr. Applauso also pops into the class now and then, and we all look forward to the sessions with him including baking bread and learning Italian music. I really appreciate the cultural aspects of the course. Highly recommend -- give it a try!

From the begining they were really professional and gave me very complete information about the services they provide.The translated document was delivered in a PDF including the original, the translation (that recreates the format of the original, its not just plain text), and a certification of Applausos suitability for the translation.In addition, the price is convenient. I definitely recommend it!

I have been trying to study Italian Language on my own for quite some time. This year I took level one from the Applauso Italian Learning Center.Professoressa Annalinda Lacoviello made the learning experience fun and efficient while incorporating the lessons. And we had Professor Nicolino Applauso pop-in occasionally to teach us Italian through songs, games and breadmaking. I am moving on to the next level with Applauso Italian Learning Center because I am finally learning the language because of this class. STRONGLY RECOMMEND.

I have taken many Italian Language classes, both in the United States and in Italy. Some were very good.But none were at the level of the Applauso Italian Learning Center.Professor Applauso is committed to making learning enjoyable, while incorporating all that makes a language special, not only the words.The professor accomplishes this in class by instruction, singing a song, providing a little known historical fact, making cannoli, viewing an Italian movie, relating a personal story, and most of all - his view that anything in life can be incorporated into an Italian language class.

FANTASTIC! Im a heritage Italian speaker (moved to the states when I was 11). I recently started taking this course, starting with 102, in order to help me with my Italian. I have two children now and I am determined to speak exclusively Italian with them. This course has helped my grammar and vocabulary tremendously. I learned WHY I grew up saying things a certain way and how rules work, so I can now figure out things for myself instead when in a jam. Furthermore, I hadnt spoken Italian with any kind of consistency for 25 years and in the 6 months I have taken this course my vocabulary and fluency has exploded! I still have a long way to go but I know Nicolino Applauso will get me there. As soon as my children are old enough (both are under 2) I plan on enrolling them in his kids course, as well, so they dont grow up just hearing Papa and Nonna speak Italian with them. If you are thinking about taking an Italian course, you wont find a better bang for your buck!
