Since kindergarten 2017 our family has attended TMSA. Each teacher that my oldest child has had, was outstanding. This school requires (alot of) parent enrollment. Which every school should! It really makes a difference. My child is very intelligent, yet challenged with their curriculum. I am very pleased.(*School lunch isn’t any good/needs to be revamped ASAP)

This school is trash! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! my son started here recently and was just recently withdrawn! Teachers are TERRIBLE! Ms. Cooper is rude and incompetent, and thinks its cool to have favorites while disrespecting other students! My son is being re taught things he learned last year! Their curriculum is terrible unless your child is remedial! You have been warned!

TMSA is the best my daughter has been there since kindergarten and 3rd grade. Shes in third grade right now and at TMSA. Her teacher is a third grade teacher her teacher is Ms.Williams and Ms.Teasdale. Shes always come home saying can you make what the school made me she told me, I would make it every once in a while. I love TMSAUpdate, this was written by my 8 year old. Please disregard any typos. I thought it was so cute that she wrote it that I did not want to correct it 🥰

This School’s basically a dictatorship in glitter and flowers The uniform rules are unreasonably strict. Many of the teachers they hire are not qualified to teach students except a Few Teachers. The lunch is flavored dirt and many students are bullied but nothing is done about it the bully gets a talk and is let go. Terrible school wouldn’t recommend. If you do send someone here then send them in Kindergarten, this place is torture

This school is trash! Do not send your kids here. No one cares! My childs teacher is horrible! Ive reached out several times in the past few weeks to have a parent/teacher conference and she has yet to reply! I reached out to the principle and got ignored by her as well! Dont waste your time or gas bringing your kids here. Its not all cracked up to be what you think it is. Im not sure why they have a wait list, this school is the equivalent of public school in my opinion.

Well . . . when I went to this school, over five decades ago, it was Lakeshore High School. It was the No. 1 rated public high school in Georgia for academics. We had the star student for the state of Georgia and 24 National Merit finalists. I played on an undefeated football team. In fact, during the five years, I was there, I only played in one losing game. My Junior year, some creeps from Maryland set off a fire bomb in the school, melting some of the concrete. We had to attend Briarwood High for the rest of the year. Where have the years gone? I dont feel that old. Class of 1967 - Lakeshore High - Go Lancers!

This school is not what you think it is! Please do your research first I currently have a student their I was so disappointed in this school especially the principal and the assistant principal allowing staff to threw children food in the trash and children stand on the wall eating... Parent please be mindful of your child or children behavior and stop and take time to listen to your child or children when they come home and tell you their experiences in this school... As a parents to other parent I dont wish this on other parent! 9 I am glad a find a new school especially that care about a child with disabilities!

TMSA has been an excellent school for both of our boys!

This school is absolutely trash. They do not care about the kids education. For example, student would not pay attention and the teacher would say im still getting paid whether you pay attention or not and they would also say i already got my degree so it dont matter. AND....... When there are fights the teacher just sits there and watches. ALSO....... Although all school food is trash..... MAIN STREET FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! They will throw your food any way on to your plate.. I also one time found a frozen piece of spaghetti in my food!

My kids enjoy going there! They have learned so much and Main Street is setting them up well for their future. Very nice mix of girl to boys ratio and they have so much to offer your child to do so child will not get bored.

I wish I could rate this 0 stars, my child spend one day there and already want to leave. The staff were talking down on the kids and the students were horrible. I liked one of the teachers, Ms Griffith was the only good teacher I heard my child talk about (6th grade). I DONT suggest going and if your child does, please ask and listen closely about their day.

My kids started TMSA when the doors first opened in 2011, ir has been the best.

Man Im seeing lots of bad reviews and i remember this school use to be Harriet Tubman it was fun teaching and all but seeing all of this disappoint me.#LongLifeTubman(Me and a group said that when tubman was being change.

This is an awesome school, my two grandchildren go there, and the staff there is wonderful, they remind me of the genuine teachers i had when i was growing up! THANKYOU TMSA! YOU ARE THE BEST!

Main Street is okay, my only issue is the lack of communication & the delay in responses via email. I understand 24 to 48hrs but for some it takes weeks to respond or never at all.

Tell me why my whole child came home crying everyday talking about the teachers are bullying me? So ofc I decide I’m gonna pull up. I get one foot in the door and immediately my child’s teacher starts talking to me like I’m stupid. Baby please come catch this degree do not check me. I run my own business I make my own decisions I am not living off a pitiful teachers salary, I get my coint.My child was so distraught because she dropped her journal out the window and her teacher pressured her to retrieve it.My baby dived out the window like a class A synchronized swimmer.What kind of behavior would b tolerated like this?? She broke her leg and I was called from the emergency room. My kid always gets high now to “not feel the pain” she’s a sixth grader 😡😡

Im am a student here at the main street academy and i think teachers should make leaning more fun but other then that, the school is great!

This school is horrible so please do not believe all of the flowery reviews from other posters. TMSA has gone down hill tremendously since the last principal left and it is very noticeable by parents who have kids who have attended school there for a while. The smart parents have moved their child(ren) elsewhere and the same will happen on this end. Some of the teachers are great, you do have a few bad apples such as teachers who stay on the phone all day rather than teaching class and teachers who attempt to demonize your child. The administrative staff is no better and are very, very, very rude towards parents. To the school, lest ye not forget that the funding that TMSA receives follows the child from the school in their home district whether the school is great or not, so technically, the parents are doing the school a favor by allowing their child to attend the school. Furthermore, the school is encouraging the school to prison pipeline with that officer in the school. Parents are not sending their children to a prison. Parents, please proceed with caution and seek out other options before enrolling your child in this school. I am aware that there are few options in the South Fulton County area, but in all honesty, you will save yourself alot of uncessary headache by avoiding this school. Even the reviews from former teachers who have moved on tell the truth about what is really going on there will tell you something. As usual, I am sure that someone will post another flowery review of the school in order to mask the truth. Prospective parents, words to wise, send your child(ren) elsewhere. You will thank yourself later on.
