My kids (1 and 3 year old girls) started at the University Oaks location, and we switched in January 2021 to be closer to our house. The staff is very friendly, informative, youthful, and they show genuine compassion. We had a lot of major breakthroughs with my 3 year old, most importantly potty training and minor behavioral issues, with great collaboration from the staff. They approach child development with a lot of care and ensure your familys values match theirs. The pricing is also very reasonable compared to other area daycares. They do offer before/after school care for school aged children with transportation included, and the list of local schools is on their website.

Words cant fully describe just how amazing the staff is at Stepping Stones! Both my boys have grown tremendously socially and academically because of the way this school is run. Mrs. Lindsay is amazing and does a great job creating a warm environment for her staff to grow and love on the kids. I am so thankful to be able to leave my kids in a place where I know they are being taken care of while I am at work!! We LOVE Stepping Stones and would recommend it for anybody looking for a great place to send their kids!

We have been with this Stepping Stone School since June 2012. My oldest started when she was 3.5 years old and they had her so prepared for kindergarten. She now attends their after school program and they make sure she does her homework and helps her if need be. She also attends their summer program and is always talking about the really fun field trips they get to attend. My youngest is 3.5 years old now and has been attending Stepping Stone since she was an infant. All her teachers love on her and treat her as their own.At Stepping Stone our children are not only prepared to succeed academically, but to succeed in all aspects of life. They do this by loving on our children, telling them how important they are and making sure that each child knows that they are loved.The principle, Lindsey Tremble, is the best that we have worked with! She is there at anytime to answer our questions or concerns. She not only truely loves our children as her own, but she loves us parents as well! She is always there to encourage us and tell us we are doing a great job! Stepping Stone is so very blessed to have Lindsey as their principle.I would without a doubt recommend Stepping Stone School for your childcare needs.

Dropping our 6 week old baby girl off at daycare and heading back to work was one of the hardest things Ive ever had to do and I was sure that I would never make it! But from the very beginning, our experience with Stepping Stone School- Rock Prairie and the staff made us feel at ease and comfortable. Now over two years later, we think of it as a second home. Our daughter is excited when we pull into the drive and says Mommy, I go see friends! She has learned so much in such a short time and amazes us daily (counting to ten in Spanish at two) with her love of learning that this school is instilling. We are very thankful to Stepping Stone School- Rock Prairie and the staff for giving us a great place for our daughter to be nurtured, educated, and loved while we are at work.Mrs. Lindsey and her staff do an excellent job loving each child and making them feel special. I recommend this place to everyone I run into that have children. We love this place and are so glad that we are apart of this Stepping Stone family.

My girls started at Stepping Stone Rock Prairie when it opened in 2012 and now attend the after school program. We could not be happier with the school. Trust is very important to me in care for my children. I trust their school principal with my kids and know that if there is anything we need, she will take care of it. She is involved in the classrooms so that she knows what is happening and the teachers know what they should be doing and are able to come to her with issues.The teachers have always been great and loving with my children. Both of my kids were more than ready for kindergarten. Not only were they ahead of the game academically but they also knew how to act in a classroom and socialize, which made it an easy transition.

We have had our son enrolled here in full time care from 9 weeks of age through pre-Kindergarten and he is now in their after school program. We have loved every minute at Stepping Stone! We know that our son is loved and cared for and his social and emotional development are priorities for the teachers and principal. Communication is excellent and the teachers and principal are always happy to answer questions. He has also learned a lot and was very well prepared for Kindergarten. We love our Stepping Stone Family!

I enrolled my daughter when this school opened in 2012. She was 2 years old. She now is in second grade, and was beyond prepared for school after her years at SteppingStone. She still counts her preschool teacher Miss Morgan as the best teacher ever and Mrs. Wilma as the best cook (except you mom). When our youngest daughter was born in 2013, we kept her at home because she was born with a heart condition. She had open heart surgery at 9 months old and 6 weeks later, I had to go back to work. I was terrified to leave her with anyone except the people at Stepping Stone. They worked so well with her and were so sensitive to everything she and I were going through. She is now 4 years old and is thriving in their preschool class. She wakes up excited to go to school everyday, and I cannot tell you the piece of mind it gives me to know she is being taken care of by Lindsay Trimble and her staff. I am already sad thinking about having to say goodbye to Stepping Stone in May. There is not another place in town where I would send my children. Thank you, Lindsay for all you do for us. We love you!!

Stepping no Stone is great! They make the whole process easy and adapt to your schedule. To be honest SS I’d our only day care experience but we haven’t had a problem in 8 years so there has never been a reason to shop!

Seven years ago I had my first son. My husband at the time and I struggled to find a place that was a good match for us when it came to child care. Lots of places we visited were very unsafe, they didnt offer any sort of curriculum, and the you get what you pay for saying was very applicable. I was beside myself at how some of those places were able to be licensed.In the spring of 2012 I visited the original Stepping Stone campus, Barbara gave me a tour and let me know they were full but a new campus was opening in south College Station. When I left I got on the phone and called. I spoke with a lady who told me there was one spot left and if I could come bring a deposit check over it was mine. I did just that.As a first time Mom its hard to let anyone take care of your children, especially when you want to trust everything about their education practices, teachings and qualifications. We were fortunate enough to have begun our journey with Stepping Stone when our oldest son was 6 months old. He has stayed there until he began kindergarten last year and is was enrolled in the summer camp.Last year, prior to him leaving, I was able to speak with Lindsay about securing a spot for my youngest son, he is almost 9 months old. My current husband and I discussed putting him in school there, but he was very hesitant. He wasnt sure if the cost was worth it. I reassured him it was. Our son has been in the care of the wonderful staff at Stepping Stone, Ms. Shona, Ms. Chelsi and all the support teachers since he was 12 weeks old.This summer, after a difficult transition in to kindergarten, our oldest was very excited to find out he was coming back to Stepping Stone for the summer program. The structure and personality of the teachers he remembers; Ms. Christina, Ms. Heather, Ms. Breanna, etc. and now ones he gets to know has been such a rewarding experience for him.Lindsay has done an amazing job since the school opened. Barbara, who sadly left, was wonderful as well. Megan has been a great addition to their staff.  I have always been very impressed by the care the teachers provide and what our oldest has learned.  I am grateful that we have 5 more years with the school, our youngest is already much further along than his brother was at the same age. I credit the dedication Ms. Shona, Ms. Chelsi and others have put in to him.My husband and I both work very demanding jobs and we are both able to go to work every day knowing that our children are more than happy with the people they get to interact with each day.Stepping Stone has provided a positive experience for each of our boys. We are very grateful.
