Wish I could give more than 5 stars.Cody was very professional and friendly. I had a very good experience, I would recommend anyone to go to him. All other driving schools were rude and just seemed like they didn’t care.

These brainiacs wont accept a valid insurance card even though it states the policy continues until cancelled because it didnt have expiration date on it. Think about it. Anyone could start a policy, cancel it a week later, go in and they WOULD accept that. Even the DMV accepted it. Waste of time going here. Driving Scholl next door will accept a normal proof of insurance.

Connor and Cody were extremely friendly. Very easy to work with. I was in a real bind and they were able to get me in within an hour. In fact I showed up 30 minutes early. And was done and out the door within 30 minutes. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be bringing my kids here.

The employees were very friendly and helpful. It was a smooth sailing process. I had to wait a little but that was because I didnt make a schedule, I was a walk in so I had to wait to see if they can fit me in to a no show spot. My instructor was the best i cant remember her name but shes the only female there. She was a friend and respectful individual also the process was handled in a very professional manner. I would definitely recommend this place for your driving test.

My son had an appointment at this office today to take his driving test. We walked in and were greeted by a gentleman who was not only unfriendly but not wearing a mask. Look, I get it, masks are uncomfortable and annoying, but they are necessary. The people who refuse to wear them are helping to spread this awful virus and will be responsible for the economy closing down again. Put your political bias aside and mask your employees! I am letting the health department know that this location is not following the protocols of being able to re-open. If you value your life, go somewhere else to test, there are 2 other driving schools in the same parking lot as this one, and they both appear to actually care about their employees and customers by asking them to wear masks!

I am so glad I walked into Academy School of Driving today for a road test. I wish I caught the name of the man who helped me, but he was great! He was very courteous and professional the entire time. The test cost the same amount as at other establishments nearby, did not require cash payments, tested me *immediately*, and as I said before they treated me with basic human decency and kindness. Flawless experience.

Absolutely horrible, seatbelt in the vehicle was falling apart, instructors and overall customer service is scummy and failed two of my friends when they did way more than enough to pass their drivers test.

Staff is amazing! Atmosphere is so much better than the DMV. Best part is they explain in detail what they got wrong and how to fix it. I have brought all of my kids for their tests.

I was in a bind and I needed to take my test the same day and I also have to have interlock ignition system and most places wont serve you also they let me tie up my Dog outside. I fully enjoyed my experience here. My instructor was patient and kind as he could tell that as a new driver I was nervous a few years back. I did make a couple mistakes, just nerves taking over, and I was given helpful critiques to watch for as I got my comfortable. My test went great and this company as a whole had always been extremely accommodating with me including when I was taking classes to ensure that I could learn and feel safe regardless of what else was going on while on the roads. I can honestly say that the staff was fair and accommodating and were quick to help me get in, get tested, and get licensed. I’ve recommended them to younger family members and friends in the years since. Definitely not a group of “scammers”.

That nature of the beast is to write a review when youre upset. For every upset person that failed there are 50 that passed and left happy. People that fail a drive test are always sure they drove perfectly and the tester is always out to get them. A complete stop is a complete stop guys. The tester is trained to know the difference. A school zone is 20 mph period. If you go over that and fail, the tester is NOT out to get you or take your money. He will go to jail for letting it go. The standards are mandated by Colorado and no one is entitled to pass because they thought they did just fine. Rather than argue and post rude reviews, why not take responsibility for yourself? Practice what needs to be fixed and say thank you for helping me be a more aware driver. Wed be a healthier nation if people werent always trying to pass the blame in general.

My son just received his license after attended the Academy School of Driving. Our oldest son took classes 7 years ago from a competitor that I did not want to return to for various reason, including a much higher cost. I asked friends for recommendations and we enrolled in Academy School of Driving. I was very happy with this decision. The instructor led classes were informative, kept the students attention through humor and examples and definitely emphasized the importance of responsible driving. We were committed to the program and the required 50 hours of behind-the-wheel hours as his parents. Together with the Academy School of Driving, he had a lot of experience before taking the test and did extremely well. I highly recommend this organization.

My experience here was nothing short of pure professionalism and good ol fashioned sincerity. I was extremely pressed to have the drive test completed the day before Thanksgiving 2018, and after being turned down by every other driving school in this Union Square due to the holidays, I called the online number listed for the Academy School of Driving. The Academy School of Driving at Union Square was closed that Wednesday before Thanksgiving The owner told me he would come meet me, prior to meeting his family a few hours later if I could wait about a half hr.All I had was the word of a stranger. I waited in front of the Academy school of Driving for a half hour, and the owner showed up as promised on his day off, just hours before having to pickup family at the airport to open his place of business and take me out on a drive test. I was truly impressed with his professionalism and caring nature for a complete stranger.I strongly recommend this School, especially above all others within the same Union Square, for all your Driving School needs. This is my first ever, online review of any business ever as I dont like posting online, nor believe most businesses deserve it.The Academy School of Driving will meet and exceed any and all of your needs!!!!

My daughter took class with Matt. He was great explaining everything to her and me.If I felt she needed work on something he would let her redo her drive. At no extra charge! When came time to take the test, he is the one who gave it. Thanks Matt!Can’t wait til my son can take his course!!

So I read a lot of bad reviews about one of the testers named Connor and I just wanted to say that I came in today after making an appointment to do a driving test and I was treated with nothing but kindness from the sweet receptionist (unfortunately I didnt catch her name) and the tester I had was Connor who was very polite and fair also friendly and nice!Over all the experience was great and I appreciated their business.It was fast and painless and I would recommend it to others looking to get a fast driving test.Adi

Called for simple information... but rather than pick up the phone 15 minutes before closing... they would rather just bounce me to their voicemail. I would never recommend somebody doing business with such lazy employees.(Update: Goodwill?! When I left my message I specifically did not leave my name or number. This is the best place to take a road test. All of the instructors were super nice. It took 3 times for me to pass but at the end they gave me constructive criticism that helped me the next time, unlike other places. I would recommend anyone to come here for their road test and driving classes.

I have been driving for 28 years. I like an idiot didnt pay a ticket and ended up having to take the test allover like I was a teenager. I wanted to get it all done in the same day so I opted to pay to take my road test. I loved this place. The staff was friendly and the dog was sweet. The person who gave me my road test made me feel comfortable so I was not nervous at all. My child is going to take their test and I have told her to call and schedule here!

Class was informative. The instructor, Keith was instructive in a lighthearted way. If you need a class. This is the one to take.

I came in to take my driving test, and the large Red-headed man and the front desk seemed irritated and flustered. He spoke too fast, was impatient, and came off as rude. A young woman came in before me to take the test, and after she left to start the car, he got up PUT AN AIRPOD IN HIS EAR and then proceeded to give her the driving test! I sincerely hope that young lady passed because she was not tested fairly and what he did was VERY inappropriate and unprofessional!! I did not feel comfortable taking my test here because of his unpleasant and unprofessional behavior, so I walked out. I will take my business elsewhere!

It was really good. Everyone in my class passed and everything was easy to get the hang of. The teachers seen fun and we get the perfect amount of work and break time.

Mr. Kieth was a very awesome teacher. I learned so much about how to drive. And nobody failed the class so there percent of passed student is 100%

We had a great experience here. My daughter was able to take her driving test in a fraction of the time it would have taken at the DMV. She also took the learners course at the Academy School of Driving and really learned so much. Honestly I felt pretty confident in my driving and they failed me. I did do one mistake I can own up to. But the rest were a surprise to me, I was told I made incomplete stops which I did not. I did stop before the stop sign and waited 3 seconds, checked for oncoming traffick. Also after the test I was brought into a room and told what I did wrong and didnt. I liked that but I couldnt stand that he would just let the other people hear EVERYTHING while they were waiting to take their test. There was a young gentlemen before me and he left the door wide open and let everyone hear and just humiliated him, that to me is very unprofessional. Hope they fix these flaws to be honest.

Both my daughter and son went through driving class at their North Academy location, and my daughter took her driving test here vs. at the DMV. It was a breeze. I think taking the road test with Mr. T put her more at ease for the road test (although she knew shed still have to pass the test, of course!). We then went across the parking lot to the DMV to have her picture taken - couldnt have been easier. Will be doing the same with my son when it comes time for him to take his road test & get his license.

This school is so understanding, relaxing, the instructor is nice and friendly. You should not feel nervous coming here.

Like any typical person we hate going to the DMV. We plan for it, have to take time from work ,schedual an appointment for it and still be there all day. Well this last Friday Dmv put me thru the ringer all over a drive test. Had to go to this Dmv place to another place to ultimately be there a total of 6 hrs and three Dmvs and still didnt get to test. I was at my wits end, and my saver was just beyond the parking lot.. The Academy Driving School. The satff AMAZING. Front desk lady was the best she could see i had had the toughest day and even with only 20 mins of business time left they still took me and staied 15 mins after hours for me. I will be returning for my kids when the time is right. So I give you guys 10+ stars....Thank you so much for an amazing experiance..So glad i came in. Forget the Dmv come here for faster, kinder and convenient service..

Honestly I wasnt even the one taking the drivers test I was taking my sister to get hers. She has already taken this test once and the male instructor decided not to tell her she has to go to the DMV within 24 hours to finish everything, then proceeds to tell her to wait till the next day because its gonna be busy.Besides that fact she came back and paid the 45$ again that wasnt the big deal.. then the SAME instructor fails her because she stopped wrong at two stop signs. I would recommend new instructors or maybe they need to fail for a reasonable reason, like not stopping at all or running a damn red light? I would never suggest this place. If oh can avoid it somehow you should.

Great teacher experience and well spent time had a good time class and teacher are very welcoming making this process at least more entertaining and helpful would recommend highly as for bad reviews he works with you helps answers questions and treats you with the same respect you give so if you fail somethings wrong

If i could give no stars i would. guy that tested me was a jerk who was condescending and RUDE. i passed the test, but according to him i was lucky to. during the test he barked out orders, almost yelled when I asked him to clarify which direction i should turn and shook his head every time i turned. he has no customer service skills and clearly hates his job. go somewhere else to take your test, heck, theres like 3 other options in the same parking lot!!!!!

These thieves purposely failed my family member after taking his money, accusing him of driving infractions that he did not make. One example is that my family member ensured that he did not exceed the school zone speed limit, but was accused of doing so. Then, he was offered an opportunity to take the test again the next day! Who knows how many times this scam would be pulled before he was finally given a passing score? Also, we heard that another driver was accused of making the same infraction right before us. This is shameful. The State of CO should not license these con artists to provide tests if the tests are not given in good faith.

Definitely not the best place to go. They had no personality. They judge you very hard when you first walk in. They do sit down with you at the end of the test to give you needed criticism but this business is rigged. They rig their small parking with obstacles and they judge every single second of the test. You are 99.99% likely to fail the first FEW tests. They have no compassion to you or the people in front or behind you. They give no refunds and expect you to show up the next day to take the test again. What is one day going to do? The building barely looks like an office. It looks like somebodys home and they try to block off the back of the office because it is not finished and never will be. They fail 90% of the testers a day and offer no refunds. They humiliate you by harshly criticizing you and do it with no sympathy. Best advice, just make an appointment at the DMV. What would you rather spend? Money or time?

This place is by far amazing !:) I went there to take my driving test without an appointment , and they took me right then and there ! The guy at the counter, when you first walk in, was pretty rude ... Buuut Charlene was amazing !! I was extremely nervous to take the test, but she made it as comfortable as possible & it was great ! I saw many people walk out with smiling faces after passing their test with Charlene ! Shes a wonderful lady & very kind ! So glad I passed my test with them ! It was a fast process, in & out within 30 minutes .. for me atleast :)

After getting in the car, I thought it was odd how fast it was running in the parking lot, this should have been my first clue to say no.... during my test you could feel severe damage to the drive line (slipping transmission, grinding wheel bearings vibrations in the whole driveline). Do avoid. They take points for things that are not against the law or poor practice. Avoid this place at all costs.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRIVING TEST HERE; there are cheaper, friendlier, and more ethical places to do it right across the parking lot. Theres a reason theyre not busy, and I was informed later of their reputation from a person at the DMV. The drive tester is super nit-picky, and failed me for a school zone infraction on a day where there was no school. By the time his mistake was realized, he had already sent my false results to the DMV. He did not offer a refund or even apologize for the mistake. Take your chances here if you want, but I felt like the tester had made up his mind before we even got in the car for the test. I think they are extremely picky because they want to fail you and make you pay again to re-take the test. I chose them in spite of their higher rates because they were not busy. As a result of my choice, I didnt have to wait an extra 20 minutes; I had to wait an entire weekend.

Some of the employees are rude, some are excellent. Overall pleasant experience.

Tried taking my drivers test here the guy wasnt very friendly to begin with. There was one guy that took his test before me while I was waiting and as he was pulling out he jump the curb and when they came back from testing he passed him! I made one bad stop and he failed me, didnt apologize or even offer me a refund. I suggest going somewhere else.

Scam artists and thieves, if I could give them fewer stars I would. I was told that I was going 24 in a 20 mph school zone (she failed the guy before me for the exact same thing) I was watching my speed the whole time especially here and I could not have gone over 21 mph!I was told I didnt come to a complete stop at the stop signs, which once again I absolutely did! I was told I blew through a two-way stop without looking to make sure no other cars were about to turn; I had the right of way and saw no cars were stopped or turning, I had no instruction to stop or yield! But what it came down to is that I had not made that obvious enough to her (paraphrasing her words here). This is a scam they bank on you coming back to retake the test. Skip this place; Im filling a complaint with B.B.B. and whomever else can get this place in line. Funny how many other reviewers have been failed for the exact same thing; thats what you call an M.O.

When I first walked into this establishment, from the air the gentleman gave off, I could tell I shouldve taken my business across the street - to their competitor. I did not receive a friendly Hello, from the gentleman behind the desk, he instead, rather bluntly, asked if I Had an appointment, or was just walking in from off the street. I was walking in from off the street, and I wanted to take my driving test. To his defense, he told his co-worker - in a conversation that I had overheard - that a teenager had called about a video they had on their website, stating that they had given some misinformation in the video. Five times, apparently, the teenager called, correcting it. This could explain the attitude he had with me.Nevertheless, they took me in, with no appointment, and threw keys at me (literally), and I waited in the car for him. I took this test, in the summer. The car had been sitting in the sun, and felt as if it was easily 100°, inside. Instinctively, I rolled down the two front windows. This, apparently, was a mistake. When he stepped outside, he asked me to please test if the lights worked. Flip the turn signal to the right. Good, now left. Good. Now brake. Good, please take your foot from the brake.Im used to driving a stick-shift. When in a stick-shift, if the car is on, and youre stationary, your foot should be on the brake, and the car should be in neutral. This would explain my bad habit of having my foot on the brake, even in an automatic, in park. I, instinctively, rested my foot on the brake, after he confirmed all the lights worked. He then chided me, that I need to listen to him, 100%. Dont assume anything. If this is any indication of how my driving is I can just fail you right now. I responded to all of his admonishing remarks with apologies. Yes, sir. Sorry. I apologize for that. However, it only served to make him angrier at me. He kept adding onto each criticism.I was already very nervous, this only added to it, and made me extremely uncomfortable.We hadnt even left the parking-spot, and I wanted to leave. Then, he asked me to please roll up my window. I began rolling up both windows. This was wrong. He, again, scolded me for not listening to him. I told you to roll up your window, not my window. Which then prompted another session of him remarking that I need to listen to him. I wanted to explain to him, that Im used to driving a stick. That was why my foot rests on the brake, but I felt that if I tried to excuse it, it just wouldve made him angrier.So, after all that, I put the car into reverse, and failed as soon as we left the parking lot. It just so happened, on that day, there was to be a very large food-trailer, parked very close to the exit-way of the parking-lot. I swung wide, wanting to make sure he wasnt afraid of me hitting it, and Im also used to driving a larger vehicle than their student-compact. In doing so, I went into the other lane, of a mutli-lane, two way street, failing me automatically. He had me turn right, then another right, then take another right into the parking lot, where I was informed I had failed within the first minute.I do not blame the gentleman for failing me. It was unlucky that the trailer be there, that day, and it was my fault.However, his attitude was very crass, very critical and did not make me feel comfortable to drive with him. I didnt happen to catch his name, but he was a portly, brown-haired individual. Maybe the other teachers are better, but I refuse to give this place my business ever again.
