I can’t say enough about this location’s instructors. The leads Evan and Dan are exceptionally knowledgeable and they go out of their way time and time again to make sure you are set up for success. They really care about your education and they will go above and beyond to help you any way they can. My primary instructor, Casey, is very committed to helping her students be successful. She is incredibly helpful and supportive. I definitely recommend checking out this location if you’re thinking about attending ATP.

This location is small at the moment, but all of the instructors are very knowledgeable and great at helping us to understand everything we need to know. It’s honestly like a family feeling down here everyone helps each other out if we are struggling or not sure what to do. It’s also a great place to fly with the mountains to the west and a great open area to the east with little obstacles to have fun flying.

I joined ATP at Colorado Springs in May of 2020 and finished the ACPP in January, and I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made! The location is still relatively small, so everyone knows everyone, and it feels like a family. I really enjoyed the instruction I received because the instructors here really care about the student. I would recommend ATP COS to anyone who is looking for a career in the airlines!

I joined ATP Colorado Springs in September of 2020 and almost immediately knew I had made a good decision. The location is a relatively small community compared to other locations like Centennial or Phoenix Mesa. You get to know everybody and you develop a good relationship with all the instructors. It’s a very fun place to fly out of and the mountains are beautiful. The only drawbacks are the seemingly endless turbulence and low level wind shear reports in Colorado Springs because of the location right in front of the towering mountain range. In the end turbulence makes you a better pilot and if you can fly an altitude and heading up here you can fly one anywhere. The location is also great for learning how to fly at high altitude airports and emphasize the true differences between high altitude performance versus sea level performance. Overall, Colorado Springs is a great place to learn how to fly and the ATP location here makes it that much better.

What if you have no interest in becoming an airline pilot but you do want to have the same level of experience and skill? Can you still apply?...

I joined the ATP program a few months ago on the flex track program which allows me to work full time and learn to fly on my days off. The instructors here are extremely professional yet make you feel like family. Currently Jake is my instructor and he is extremely supportive and helpful in building my skills and confidence. I would recommend this particular location for flight training as you get to experience high altitude flight training, you will receive experience in crosswind takeoffs and landings (as there is usually wind coming in at all times), and you get to take off from a class C airport(KCOS). The have a flight simulator in their office that is available 24/7, and are located at an FBO that has a military contract so you get to see cool military aircraft coming and going daily. They have new, well maintained aircrafts with the Garmin g-1000 navigation system (rather than the old school 6-packs that most other schools use around here). The flight instructors are the highlight of this location and I can’t wait to see it grow as there are many new students joining to get into a career in aviation!
