This school is absolute trash. The students are disrespectful snakes. I have debated dropping out every day. Today they decided to split up lunch into 2 different times. All my friends have a different lunch. Now i will have no friends. They are trying to ruin my life. I hate this school. Peace and tranquility.

Great school. Its pretty cool how close there is a McDonalds and a 7 Eleven and Little Ceasars. Great for students. Very clean campus in great shape. Fun car shows here every year.

Not an enjoyable vacation stay. For some reason they didnt allow me to wear hats? The beds were hard, and the pillows were flat. Theres no bathroom in your rooms, you must share all facilities with the other guests. Plenty of cheap food within walking distance. If youre looking for a cheap stay, I hope you dont need much rest. Good luck.

The students are underrepresented as a whole. There are few situations where the students can actually exercise any amount of say over the programs and quality thereof for themselves before they leave much less when theyre there. The English Department dubbed it necessary to make half of the grade for Senior year BEHAVIOR. If behavior is that much of a problem maybe try making your hour of badly done liberalist propaganda worth something.

They dont care about the students, they only care about looking good. All issues, legal and non, are swept under the rug and overlooked. Theyd rather turn the other cheek when serious issues such as bullying and fights are brought up. I had a couple of good teachers in the English department. Other than that, the discipline code is a total joke.

This school has many problems to begun with so for the people that want to go to this school go with a risk. The principal is never in school because he says that hes too busy woth work even though ive seen him wondering around doing nothing but staring into space there are many parents that wnat to talk to him but for that u have to make an appointment becuase hes too busy. And sence hes not there the new dean named Nathaly Santin is kicking many students out. Shes making excuses about students not having good grades and being absent in every class because she says she sees many students go to the store instead of school. Shes kickung students out because there apperently isnt much room for new students that want to enroll in this school. She lies when she says that she gonna help u with any work missing or absentses. There are the teachers that dont care about their students, they either like u and care or hate u and bully u. So parents abd students if u still want to go to this school go at ur own risk.

I used to attended Doherty part of the Class of 2010! Doherty could be so much better if the teachers actually took the time to help the students that really do need help and not just favorite the schools foot ball team.I say that because in my computers application class the teacher did all this kids work for him. Also back in 2010 we had the worst dean on the face of the planet Mr Exs. He was a power hungry tyrant. Also the principal doesnt do anything.

My experience has not been pleasent in the slightest and I believe it is because of the way this school is run and not merely my own personal experience, but a fairly universal one.Administration is hard to deal with. Consulers are judgemental and the teachers are not kind here - I have to say there was one teacher at this school who treated her students fairly and responsibly (Mrs. Stroup) and thats the only teacher I can think of who treated her students as actual students and didnt favor all the popular kids, assign only book reading and actually tried to teach, engage and enrich the lifes of her students.I have been to a few different highschools and moved frequently but never have a been to a school with as thoughtless, uncaring, drug ridden students as Doherty. This school also has terrible technology... your student is not going to have access to reliable computers and wifi - everyone at the school I have talked to has agreed the comptures are wretched to deal with. This will hit the students such as me who did not have access to a computer at home the hardest. I was told that I need to buy a computer to complete a class and if I dont have one - buy one. So have money to do so if your going to send your kid to this school.Overall, I can say Doherty does to feel like a safe learning environment to me and also to my drug free, normal friends (which I am greatful to even be able to find the one or two I did in a school such as Doherty) I would implore parents to send their sons or daughters to another school so that he/she can be saved from the sadness, exclusion, lazy teaching/lack of a an education I received at Doherty. I wish respect and prosperity for the few adults at this school who were truly, objectively moral and hard working adults at Doherty, there was some good eggs who deserve a mention; I only wish they werent so far and few between.. 2/5 stars, do not reccememd.

This hotel is by far the worst Ive ever stayed at. First off, they dont even have beds. All they have is chairs with table tops but they dont allow you to have anything on them besides their paperwork. Second, the parking is horrendous. There were no vallet and the walk from the lower parking lot with my bag is ridiculously long. Once inside the bell hops never once offered to help me with a bag. They only sat and stared at me and talked with other guests.Room service was a joke, they never garuneteed they had anything on the menu and you had to wait in line and just hope you got some random decent food. I shared a room with 25+ other people. The wifi was horrible and would block websites from me when I needed to get work done. All of the other guests were very rude and would scream very loudly for no reason also stopping in the middle of the halls and made me have to take long ways around to my room. The gym and pool were the only good parts about this hotel. However the personal trainer was very rude. The pool had a diving board though

As a Teacher at Doherty HS and a public school teacher for 20 years, I believe I can offer a fair and useful perspective for students or parents considering enrollment at DHS. Doherty is an excellent school for those students who are self-motivated and strive to excel. Further, DHS endeavors to connect with those students who struggle academically by providing a non-traditional path to a diploma. Parents are greatly pleased with the extent DHS is willing to work with their kids to foster success. My perceptions, based on what I have seen over the past 7 years at DHS, are that students benefit immeasurably from their involvement at DHS. They develop academic, social, and life skills that serve them well after receiving their diploma. Students are respectful of each other and their teachers. Views outside of the mainstream, likewise, are listened to with respect, and bullying is disdained by the students. Debilitating drug use (meth, heroine, etc.) is very rare, although many students believe the use of marijuana is okay. Alcohol use is not a huge problem here. As a parent, I would consider DHS far better than most schools regarding substance abuse. Fights are unusual for a school this size, perhaps 10-15 minor fights per year without serious injuries or weapons (as far as I know). We have been highly successful in Volleyball, Auto Tech, Mock Trial, Band, FBLA and basketball, yet, many athletes are not as committed as I have seen at other schools (particularly in Louisiana). All things considered, I would enthusiastically recommend DHS as a quality place to develop during these crucial HS years. Still, the greatest aspect of a student’s success and happiness rests with their own attitude, desire, and skills.
