Not your usual martial arts. He takes a very old-style approach, unlike your typical gym martial arts. The teacher, Martin Kelly, is very experienced in a variety of martial arts. His teaching is very thorough and best learned at an enjoyable pace. This is probably one of the best martial arts I have studied. I ventured out to learn more and 100% recommend at least trying out this style of martial arts to see if it works with you.

I trained with Sifu Kelly for many years, his knowledge and skill in multiple arts is unmatched by anyone I have ever met. He is a sponge of knowledge and his technique flows like water. Sifus accomplished were born from his love and dedication to martial arts and a lifetime of hard work, there are no mailbox certifications here.Whether you are looking for self defense, competition, or just physical well being, this is the place to be. All instruction is principle based, meaning you are not just learning a technique, but also what the technique is doing and why it is working. Learning other arts is highly encouraged and the principal based foundation makes understanding the variations of other arts simple and easy to grasp. There is nothing like flowing from a Wing Chun entry to an Aikido throw and finishing off with a Jiu-jitsu submission. This is not a McDojo, do not expect a checkbox structure, to have low bar testing, and end up with false confidence. If you want real knowledge, solid technique, all learned in a friendly, fun, and supportive dojo, this is your place!I do not currently train with Sifu Kelly as life has taken me in other directions. However, Sifu has become more than just an instructor, but also a lifelong friend. His caring for his students extends far beyond the walls of his school. Thank you Sifu, for everything!

Principle based instruction providing for a good foundation in martial arts. Sifu Kelly may be a little bit quirky, but once you get to know him better that becomes an endearing quality, especially for some one who has devoted his life to the martial arts. It is true that some classes may be a bit eclectic, but this is rooted in his desire to make well rounded martial artists. If wanting to learn one style, private lessons may be for you just narrow down what discipline of his many that you wish to learn. Check your ego at the door, only an empty cup may be filled.

Master Kelly is one of the most experienced and complete instructors I have ever worked with. He is also great with my kids and he is a light-hearten and fun guy. Dont let that fool you though he was taught by the great masters of the east in pretty much every martial art known. If you just looked at his history you would walk in expecting to see some little old Asian man sitting cross legged on a mountain top like in the movies. Instead he is a tall lean white guy that looks more like a surfer than a highly trained martial arts Master and Healer. If your just looking to learn how to punch and kick and hang out he is probably not the teacher for you. If you want to learn how to be a complete person and fighter he is your guy. I have spent the last several years studying Krav Maga and the first three strikes he taught me would tear through anyone in my class, short of a few instructors. When I have challenged him to demonstrate the effectiveness of his method he attacked with so much power, speed and ferocity that it actually scared me, something that never happens to me in a fight. However he had such control he was able to tear through my defense and counters like I was a child but never caused any harm or struck me directly. I have studied different arts my whole life and never have I come across a teacher with such and impressive resume or whom I look at their abilities with awe. He teaches the old-school way which is to develop the Mind and Spirit as well as the body.He will allow people to attend free introductory classes so please come, meet him, challenge him and see his method. If you are the right kind of student I guarantee you will not leave disappointed.

I have been training with Sifu Kelly for 7 1/2 years and I can tell you if you want to learn real self defense to protect your family, friends and people who cant defend themselves. I am getting my black belt from Sifu Kelly real soon and I am confident i can protect family and friends or anyone who needs my help. If you want to improve your grappling skills or other martial skills Sifu Kelly can help you to improve your martial skills in any discipline that you want. If you like boxing or muy thai he can help you to get better. He has been training for 45 years all over the world in the martial arts. I want to spend my money that I can learn a A+ QUALITY MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTION THAT I CAN APPLY ON THE STREET WITHOUT GETTING KILLED. I can tell first hand experience that SIFU KELLY IS A MASTER AND THE REAL DEAL AND NOT SOME WANNA BE MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTOR WHO CHARGES A LOT OF MONEY FOR A BAD MARTIAL ARTS EDUCATION. Sifu Kelly is a humble man and cares for his students and he wants his students to succeed and learn how to apply the principles in a real life situation.
