The staff are nice. The teachers have degrees for the classes theyre teaching but should not be teaching. They recite slides that were given to them incredibly fast and expect you to understand material without giving you the time to even write down anything they have in slides. you have access to notes online but they have homework on 4 different platforms so its extremely had to keep up, especially if you have a job and kids. This school makes it feel impossible that you will ever succeed in college. please when looking for schools, find a place that has teachers that actually care if you learn what theyre teaching and take the time to help students with understanding content. Pick a place that wants you to succeed.

Some of the nursing lab instructors here are not good. Verbally abusive and demeaning. Makes going to class a kind of personal hell. Students want to learn, not be picked on. Problems with your life and personality should not be dumped on your students. Stay away.

One of their better campuss. This location is pretty widespread having plenty of parking space and a very refreshing interior atmosphere. In addition, the location is well maped and easy to navigate with friendly staff and security always willing to be of assistance. As for their professors, its a mixed bag, as are most colleges of this size. As long as your willing to take the time to handpick classes, youll be well off. Overall, not a bad choice if your looking for community college.

This school is poorly organized and most of the people working in the admissions, academic, and financial offices have no idea what theyre doing. Its hard to get help from anyone. They set me up on the wrong degree program, they put your acct on hold if you choose to do a payment plan even though its an automatic withdrawal, and they dont accept hardly any credits even from accredited schools (uccs). The only positive thing I can say is that the professors are great.

The Rampart Range campus is the best location in the Pikes Peak Community College system. While at Pikes Peak, I received my degree in nursing and couldn’t be happier with my education. Every last one of my nursing instructors were kind, knowledgable, caring, and helpful. This place is a great environment for learning and has amazing resources. The library is a great place to study. I made great use of their private library rooms while I was there. Five stars for PPCC!

The advisory staff is horrible. Some of the rudest people Ive ever met. I dont know what their problem is. Seems like theyre always having a bad day or something. For this reason alone Im considering not even going to this school.

A lot of the staff is very rude. Students are great but staff is rude! They are quick to snap at you, even if you come at them in a friendly manner. I did my CNA classes here, in 2013 and the teacher, Geri Tierney, was a sweetheart and a wonderful, very instructional teacher. She prepared me well for the state and written test. Her co-worker, whom I dont recall her name, was rude but she did get a little more friendlier during clinicals but she was still a bit rude.

This review is in regards to the nursing department at PPCC at Rampart Range. There is a instructor/clinical instructor that should not be teaching here. This instructor, Cassie, is a bully that picks on students for the sake of it. She told a student that they will never be a nurse in casual conversation during class. She told another student that they would probably not pass the clinical when the 2nd day of a rotation. A student went to the head of nursing and brought up these concerns. Nothing got resolved and this instructor later got promoted to a lab teaching position. The nursing department at this school doesnt take concerns of students seriously and promotes an atmosphere of bullying.

I know someone in his 20s who goes to PPCC and is cognitively challenged. He has trouble even with easy tasks and simple logic and concentration. No, its not his fault, but PPCC is happily taking his money for courses that are doing him no good since he is not capable of a college education. And yet he makes all As in PPCCs college courses. At least in this case, PPCC is not providing a real education and is apparently teaching useless courses for the sake of tuition. Theyre just wasting this poor persons time and money, and I dont see how they can be ignorant of that.

I heard its the best of the campuses. Why is there no public transportation to this community college campus? I rode rhe bus and a bike and it was still to far to make it. What I need my personal schofeur to pick me up in my inground pool mansion in my lambrigini to bring me to this fine educational establishment otherwise acess to it will be barred. I call it embezzaling. Colorado Springs administration and government viciously embezzaling weed money. We can have a bus go there ever 15 mins all they way till the last class, not like done bussing while classes are still in session.

First Ill address the bad: Sodexo is the only cafe on campus where you can grab lunch, and although some of the food (particularly the breakfast burritos) rock, virtually everything else sucks for the high prices. With that out of the way, I attended the Rampart Range campus of PPCC for my first two years and I miss it.I only ever had one teacher who didnt really know what he was doing, but besides that, all my teachers cared about their subjects and the learning development of their students. Ive had instructors who also teach at other local institutions, i.e. UCCS. From my experience, the teachers are friendly and very willing to help. The small class sizes and beautiful location in a steppe environment under the commanding presence of the Rocky Mountains make this particular campus one of my favorite places in Colorado Springs. Besides the first few busy weeks of school, this is a very easy-going institution.I definitely recommend Pikes Peak Community College for both those who work and those who want a good education at great location for a good price.
